From Captain Puckett's presentation the day before PC crossing:
Highest Toll Paid: M/V Disney Magic - May 2005 - $400,000
Lowest Toll Paid: Richard Halliburton - 1928 - 36 cents to swim through the canal

Something else Captain Puckett said at one of the presentations we attended is that cruise ships pay a rate based on the number of berths, both occupied and unoccupied - $92 for unoccupied berths and $115 for occupied berths - along with other fees to determine the exact toll. He didn't know exactly how much it cost the Wonder to cross though.

That's what he said. I even went back and looked at the photos I took of his slide presentation. Of course he could have his numbers wrong, too.

I'll send it to you, but it may take a couple days to get it out since we're expecting several inches of ice/snow again tonight.

They did and we did in August 2008. That was beat by the Pearl (I think) in 2010. The Wonder was no where near full capacity on our crossing so fees would have been less than what were paid previously by DCL.

I also thought that the record was set by the Magic in 2008. In 2005 DCL was not really on my radar as I had given up on the idea that I would ever get to cruise. This had changed dramatically in 2008 once I knew that I had a cruise booked. I do remember this particular item of news so it must have been in 2008.

I have had no luck finding anyone on facebook so please look me up under

Also has anyone else had a problem with their Disney special Dooney Bourke handbag? I bought the $198 one and the red trim is coming off the handle. I called the company and they were not at all friendly and told me at my expense I could return the bag and in 6 to 8 weeks they would repair it and return it to me. I was not happy with that answer so I called Disney Merchandise who told me to send a copy of my sales receipt to them and they would take care of it. I only had the copy of the big sheet from the ship and they told me to circle the item and send a copy of the insert with the bar code to them and they would take care of it. In previous dealing with Disney Merchandise they have taken excellent care of any problem I had with any purchase. Let's see where this goes.

My son is coming to SC March 1 so I hope the deep freeze of the north is on it's way out by then! My grandsons have missed so much school and the youngest one was in the ER last night because of respiratory congestion. They sent him home and told my son to give him Advil! What a trip and a long wait for Advil. I am still congested and I have had 2 prescriptions, maybe I need Advil!

They came out with FL rates for the April 9 Magic cruise if anyone is interested.

I took the DCL online survey yesterday and shared some thoughts.

HappyGoofy - one thing I mentioned in my survey - I was looking forward to CA resident rates.

This morning DH asked me when we were going to be home from our cruise. The souvie suitcase is still sitting in the entryway. I told him never. But I think that was a hint.

I guess I really do need to put those things somewhere. Add to the scrapbooking baglog.

DD3 keeps asking if we can go back to the Disney Mickey Wonder Boat today? I wish.
