From WDW to DL With Love - January 06, 2011 part 5

A Big Thank You to the person who posted the door pictures on Smugmug. That was a lot of time and work taking all those pictures, but it made me so happy to see them tonight when I checked the smugmug account. So a great big thank you!!!!!

You're welcome. It really wasn't that bad. Just took them all one day while I was delivering fish extender gifts. On two occasions I was asked if there was a contest. Not a bad idea.

Anyone know the order of shows on the 7 day on the wonder?

I would guess. Let the magic begin, followed by Golden Mickeys, the second to last Disney Dreams, and the Final Night would be remember the Magic. Now what night they are doing crap story, um I mean, Toy Story I have no clue.

Just a quick pop-in, as I'm trying to sort through photos...... thanks to all whose actions meant that Disney followed up on the incident posted. So sad to see teenagers who feel that's a great way to get their kicks :(

Anyhoo, thought I'd post this one taken in Aruba.....

Hope you are all surviving Winter. We're having an awful time with the weather here in Australia.

Cheers,
Sally :)

Our server called us at 11.30 one night to remind us it was our character breakfast the next morning. Luckily we were not asleep, yet...

I remember getting that call, but I was already asleep. The one night I went to bed early. I barely remember the call, but thankfully got the important part. He must have just forgot to tell us all at dinner, but then again he wasn't too talkative. Thanks for being great table mates. Our kids were actually playing in the backyard and looking for your kids to play a game with them. My son was telling us that they were hiding behind a tree.

First time I went through the canal I was back at work a month before the postcard I sent arrived there. It does take longer for stuff to get to my office.

I'm now booked on the 10/30/11 Dream and the 5/12/12 Fantasy.

I knew about the dessert buffet (Amy completely peruses the Navigator every night and had seen it, and I think the servers did mention it) but some of us were up in the Outlook drinking and I forgot to go take pictures of it.

On an off subject, i see your adventurers club RIP. WHY did they close those clubs? They were fun!

You guys are all fantastic. Stitch is my absolute favourite so getting him will be a definite bonus.

Corinna - I haven't heard back from anyone to know if they are ok with sending the pins to me and then me sending them to you. If you PM me your address and instructions on how best to complete the mailing paperwork so you don't get hit with fees, I'll wait a bit and see what others want to do and then send off at least my pins. Sorry you didn't get the opportunity to get them on the ship, another one of those communications issues, but hope we can help you here.
I know the crew really tried their best so I am not angry them for the communication and organizational issues lacking on this cruise. It was my choice to spend about 20 hours, or one day of my vacation, in a line for pins (I had never added up the time before now - what an idiot!!). But Disney is the expert on crowd management so I really think they blew this one. I did mention to one of the officers that was talking with me while in line for the pins, that I hoped in their "lessons learn't" sessions they would note the issues the DISboard brings to their attention. Let's see if they do.

I agree Ean was not too talkative, but he did loosen up after a few days (I guess he was used to short cruises and not really getting to know the families). Iona cried several times after the cruise saying that she missed Ean and Yukiko!

Mailing should be simple. The pins are not very expensive and should fit it a small box. You should be able to use the simpler customs form (it used to be green, but they changed the forms recently, so might not be now). Make the description as "badges" and keep the value low. On the customs form, check the box that says "gift" and there should be no issues (I send stuff to the UK regularly with no issues).

When we were on the PC we purchased a little ornamnet of the ship-it had a gold string on it, for our
grandson. Somewhere between the ship, DL and Las Vegas it got lost. I was wondering if anyone was going on the Wonder could get me another..It cost around $13. We had Captain Henry sign it as follows:

To AJ who loves the Disney ships

We would definately pay for it plus the shipping and we would like the captain to sign it again for AJ

If anyone can help us, please let me know. Thanks

My DD is on the ship and she might be willing to help. BUT you do know Cap'n Henry is long gone from the wonder, right? We'll wait for you to respond and i should talk to her tomorrow.

Thanks for helping with this.

I was never told about the breakfast....

I spotted our breakfast listed on our dinner ticket and our server reminded us the evening before as well.

Corinna

Well we were amongst what must be a small group who's key card didnt have our rotation on it and we got about 4 days worth of rotations on one of those little cards (look like excursion cards). So our server (ask for Putu next time - he always was telling us stuff going on and even hints to DD for "backstage") told us, but i think i had breakfast the last day - otherwise was not up or not moving at that early hour!!

i'd do every single minute of this cruise again, less the internet checking on my other daughter so i'd take more local tours!!
