Make sure someone takes a picture of the toliet in the women's restroom. You have to see it to believe it!
Do post - i'm now soooo curious and will prob never make it there!

I'm only taking one formal dress. I only have one!!!:lmao: Goodness, if my tablemates bother about that they are very sad people!!

Marilyn, you have one more formal dress than I do.:rotfl2: I have some black slacks and a couple of dressier tops - and they'll just have to do.:lmao:
Shirley

I didn't have one until September. Just 5 days before the WBTA I found one in the sales!!! It will have to do for a very long time. It is more maxi dress than true formal, but it feels good.

Lots of folk dress up on semi formal night as if it was formal. What really is the difference anyway? You wear your princessy gown. You won't be the only one. We get so few chances to do that don't we? In fact the cruise is the only place I get to put nice clothes on these days, long or short!

Shirely, Granmaz and everyone - thanks! i do have a second formal i now fit in, but i'm not sure i like it enough to bring on. i'll prob look for a better one because a dear friend keeps inviting us to things like chamber of commerce dinners and such that are formal, but thank you, i'm not pressured to have it by the cruise!! yeah!!

Same here, in fact, for some reason the cruises are the only place I like to dress up. I rarely wear a skirt anytime at home, I'm a jeans kind of girl, but I love formal night on the cruise.

I'm a jeans and barefoot kinda girl. i dress up on the cruise because i think it's the right thing to do but i'll be doing a lot of chicos travelers and other really comfy things, less fashionable but comfy. am done with stuffy!!

In less than 4 weeks we will be back home at Kidani! I just hope it is not too cold. I would love to do a gown but I would never wear it here and even on other cruises. I do the chico's travelers too. Plus I have several nice sweaters I like to bring too. We have had ME bag tags since early Nov. I am going to try and pick them up on Wednesday but my TA is out of town now until Thursday.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. I didn't think it was possible to be any more excited for this trip, but joining up here has added a whole other layer to our anticipation.

Marilyn--I giggled at your comment about not going back to a 3 night cruise. Our "try me" cruise went by so fast, I knew it would. But to add insult to injury. On our last night, I read the navigator and it said to turn our clocks ahead one hour. It took me a while to figure out why. As it turned out day light savings was beginning. So we got shorted one hour while on our 3 night cruise. I'm making up for this cruise because we GAIN 3 hours!:woohoo:

ohmygoodness!!:rotfl2: OTOH - to be indelicate - HOW do you go????

You lift the cover - think of it as a toilet seat cover being down. This one just has fun holes in it. I've got a picture somewhere, too.

ACDSNY, be sure to get someone to take your picture in front of the Green Door. It makes a fun souvenir. Also, there's a display cabinet before you get to the bar. Check out what goodies are for sale. If nothing else, buy a Club 33 pin. Also, ask your waiter if you can have the pen you sign your check with. I still have the ones from our dinners there.

Don't know if it's still on the menu, but the filet of chateaubriand was delicious!!!!

Enjoy your special treat!!!

We picked our docs up today from TA.

UOTE=carmie3377;39157494]Hi Diana! I have a DD that is 11. She isreally looking forward to meeting some new friends on the cruise. I'm sure our girls will meet up at some point during the cruise.

Still no docs here! UGH! I'm wondering if they went to the TA first since Tahara received theirs and they too are in Houston. I sent an email to my TA to see if she has them and awaiting her response.[/QUOTE]

Went by our TA and picked up our cruise documents this afternoon. Now I just hope that the cruise documents for the "2 day cruise to Neverland" arrive before we leave for WDW.

Hope everyone has a good week. We are off to DL in the morning for three glorious days!:santa:

Hello everyone,

I would like introduce ourselves. Forgive me, I'm new to posting and new to this whole cruise meet concept. My family & I will be going on this exciting cruise thru the Panama Canal. We have 2 connecting rooms on deck 2 aft. I will be traveling with my two girls who are 11 & almost 13. Then my mom and brother will in the other room. (My husband is not interested/unable to come.)

We have been fortunate to travel a number of times together to WDW. Then spring of 2009 we did a "try me" 3 night cruise on the Wonder. It worked! My family was hooked. I couldn't wait to get back on that ship. So needless to say we are super excited for this trip. We will be flying in on Jan. 1st and hit each of the parks once. I fell in love with the christmas decorations 2 years ago. So I'm excited to see the dream castle lights & the lights display @ DHS again.

I see you have a lot of things planned during the cruise. I don't know how much we will participate in. But it looks like there is a good chance we will bump into some people since it is such a big group. I'm hoping there are some nice kids that my girls can hang out with since it is such a long cruise. I would love to experience some of the adult areas from time to time.

Diane

Hi Diane welcome.

It took me 3 hours to do a 40 min journey home yesterday, finally abandoned the car a few miles from home and walk, then I just coulnt get back to work so the first time EVER the snow beat me and I couldnt get to work. The trains were not running, anyway, theres tons of the stupid stuff around, I sure hopw we get some nice weather.

Lynne, nightmare journey home! Hope you have a few days off now.

Same here, in fact, for some reason the cruises are the only place I like to dress up. I rarely wear a skirt anytime at home, I'm a jeans kind of girl, but I love formal night on the cruise.

When I lost weight this year I bought quite a few lovely summer skirts, but I had a bad rash on my legs(?medication allergy) so never wore them and kept my legs covered. I managed to wear a few on the TA cruise when the rash settled. Again, as I had t buy a whole new wardrobe this year, I have bought some thicker skirts, but as the weather here is snowy and freezing, I haven't worn them yet either?:confused3 I hasten to add that I will be bringing my summer skirts along on the cruise and not the winter ones though.:lmao:

Oh, and I must say I love seeing my hubby in his suit as he doesn't get to wear that these days, and I think he looks gooooooood!!! He isn't taking or renting a tux, but his suit is a dark one.

Thanks everyone on the comments for the dresses/which nights. I'm more excited now to just do whatever I feel makes me happiest, and go from there. Cant believe its only 4 weeks away!

:dance3: 4 weeks, yay!!!

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Wow! Lynne, you have had some TOUGH weather this year! Sure wish you could ship some of that snow to us, before Christmas :)

Quiet day. Apparently my roommate received our docs - haven't heard from the other cabin yet.

Anyone besides OTB celebrating birthdays on the cruise? How about Anniversaries?

Glindamood - I don't appear to have your email addy - is PM ok for the recipe?

Good evening all! Its nearly 10pm here and I only just came home, in the process of scoffing down my dinner. Been a stressful and busy few days.

Its hard to believe that we're leaving for America in less than 48 hours!

Jen, how does one book the Cabana? It wasn't listed on the DCL website. Please excuse me if this has been answered before.

As for formal gear, I've got 1 dress that I'll be wearing for both formals and the semi-formal. Space is a premium! Anywhoo, hope you all have a great day.

Only the cat 1-3 guests can book them. If any are available while on on board you can book them once we are on. Well got some good news today and a little bad news. The good news is it looks like I would say about 90% sure I will not be canceling. My mom on the other hand is about 99% sure she is going to cancel. Again I really do not want to get into here, and I thank you all for respecting that so far, and i thank you for your welI wishes, they have come in handy I look forward to maybe meeting some of you in just a few short weeks.

There's a list day by day that I guess Jeff, as great as he is!, put together under the calendar on the links on the first page. my DD is turning....not old, but wow! as we go through the canal, literally!!

We should be arriving around noon (depending on weather related flight delays...hopefully there will NOT be any) and are hoping to go to one of the parks...either MK or EPCOT. I definitely want to see "Captain EO", but will wait until DL if it will still be there. Planning on just grabbing quick food at the park (maybe just a turkey leg or BBQ at Cosmic Rays), as I figure we'll be eating very well for the next 2 weeks.
Probably will have breakfast at Olivia's Thurs. morning.

30 days!!!!!

Well, I am hoping to book a 9:00 appointment at a salon Thursday morning. We don't rush to get to port, I will have already made my grocery stop so things should be OK. We don't like to get to the port until 12:30 or 1:00 so things should work out just fine for us.

Alan - sorry about your DM and continue to have fingers crossed for you.

Linda, and anyone else wanting to send me a recipe - gail@lindamood.com

Well, I made DH bring em to work this morning. Snow, cold and blowing - I am so over this white stuff (Linda, please extend my apology to Bruce as I am sure that comment would not go over very well). I must be destined to be a snow bird.

We left Ct for warmer weather but it is below freezing here right now. They have wimpy plants here. People cover them with blankets etc. Plants back in CT survive weather below zero.

We will be at Disney Thursday and Friday. I hope it warms up. Will be bringing my heavier slacks and jacket.

Hope it is warm for our Sail Away Party. It could be very cold and windy out on deck.

Sorry to hear about the weather you're having. It's amazing what a difference a week can make. We were there last week and when we got there it was in the 80's, in the middle of the week it hit 60 and when we left Sunday it was 70. Hopefully the temps will go back up for you, I know from experience WDW is no fun when you're freezing.

Good Morning!!! :surfweb:

My Secret Mickey revel gift is breakable. I just finished wrapping it up in newspapers and packing tape. Then I looked at it......if it's in my checked luggage will TSA unwrap it to see what it is?? Should I redo it in clear bubble wrap so the contents are more visible? Or can the baggage x-rays see that it's OK.

Also, check out the summer clearance area of Kohls if you have one near you. I found lots of nice summer casual long and short "cruise" dresses for $3 to $4 dollars!!! Unfortunately, none of them fit me.......and we won't say why! :rotfl:
