I just got my documents this past weekend, I tried checking in for our air from LAX but they couldn't find me in the system.....I'm working with my travel agent to figure that out.

Formal nights - hmmm, I really hate packing too much clothes, would it be terrible to wear something the first formal night and again on the 3rd? I only have it on for a few hours.... I would love to get by with only one suitcase!

I'm only taking one formal dress. I only have one!!!:lmao: Goodness, if my tablemates bother about that they are very sad people!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Anyone know how much the internet access will be?

I plan on bringing a laptop and would like to get one of the plans. This is what I found for the Wonder, but the Magic has a 500 minute option.....

Internet/Wireless Internet Access
on the Disney Wonder
Pay as you go - $0.75 per minute
50 min for $27.50 ($0.55/min)
100 min for $40 ($0.40/min)
250 min for $75 ($0.30/min)

The Magic is:

Internet/Wireless Internet Access
on the Disney Magic
Pay as you go - $0.75 per minute
100 min for $55 ($0.55/min)
250 min for $100 ($0.40/min)
500 min for $150 ($0.30/min)

I'm guessing it would be similar to the Magic's or maybe cheaper? Or, maybe Disney will offer it for free....LOL, There I got dreaming again....

THAT WOULD be a dream, Darla! Remember, the Wonder typically runs 3 -4 day cruises, not 15, so I'm guessing they'll offer some kind of bigger package. I hope. But i'm afraid it won't go much under 30 cents a minute.

Just wondering if anyone knows if you can still get Dooney and Bourke ,not sure how to spell it lol, bags on the cruise ship? If so what kinda prices are they? Thnks

The internet on the ship, from our experience, is not very reliable. We ended up cancelling the plan.

On the last PC there was a tropical night , Pirate night and a Mexican night plus the two formal nights and one semi-formal. The Magic had the villian ball after the Villian Show.

welcome to all the new people- we are a friendly and chatty group

Russ and I would love to join you in celebrating your Birthday! We also have late seating so it will work out perfect.

1 month from today we will be at OKW on the eve of our WONDERful cruise.

Russ & Judy

We will be at OKW as well. Will do lunch there and then dinner at California Grill.

Hello everyone,

I would like introduce ourselves. Forgive me, I'm new to posting and new to this whole cruise meet concept. My family & I will be going on this exciting cruise thru the Panama Canal. We have 2 connecting rooms on deck 2 aft. I will be traveling with my two girls who are 11 & almost 13. Then my mom and brother will in the other room. (My husband is not interested/unable to come.)

We have been fortunate to travel a number of times together to WDW. Then spring of 2009 we did a "try me" 3 night cruise on the Wonder. It worked! My family was hooked. I couldn't wait to get back on that ship. So needless to say we are super excited for this trip. We will be flying in on Jan. 1st and hit each of the parks once. I fell in love with the christmas decorations 2 years ago. So I'm excited to see the dream castle lights & the lights display @ DHS again.

I see you have a lot of things planned during the cruise. I don't know how much we will participate in. But it looks like there is a good chance we will bump into some people since it is such a big group. I'm hoping there are some nice kids that my girls can hang out with since it is such a long cruise. I would love to experience some of the adult areas from time to time.

Diane

:welcome: Diane and family! So happy to have you joining us!

Welcome Diane (and family)!

At last, DH and I are moving tomorrow -- so please send pixie dust that it stops raining (yes, in Los Angeles.... nope, I don't get it either).

If you were going to send us something pre-cruise and need our new address, please PM me!

No internet until Tuesday morning, but hope you all have a great Monday! :wizard:

Pixie dust on the move - and the weather! Wishing you a smooth transition.

Too cute!

RECIPE EXCHANGE - I am willing to keep them if we want to do these and then compile them into one larger document when we get home. So, if you want to send me a recipe, email it to gail@lindamood.com and we will take it from there.

DS just called and talked to a very helpful cast member who said that the larger "special" internet packages are decided by the cruise staff and are not communicated to the folks who put the info up on the website so it will probably never be published. She said that there was an unpublished "special" on the 11-night she recently took but that no one knew about it until they got on the ship.

So, unless one of our Concierge folks can get some inside info (and I suspect they can!), we probably won't have any idea until we get there.

So there it is, FWIW.

I'm only taking one formal dress. I only have one!!!:lmao: Goodness, if my tablemates bother about that they are very sad people!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Marilyn, you have one more formal dress than I do.:rotfl2: I have some black slacks and a couple of dressier tops - and they'll just have to do.:lmao:
Shirley

On my side of the world..still 3 foster puppies...no one was adopted yesterday :sad2: I will have them until just after Christmas and then they will go to a new foster home which makes me sad as I feel like I failed in a way. Difficult to explain.

As for me medical issues...I have more tests this week so hopefully they will figure out what is wrong with me.

On the good news side! The docs arrived! :cheer2::cheer2: So We have luggage tags and some info.

Sorry about the foster puppies not being adopted. We'd love a new puppy, but with all the travel we have planned for this coming year, the puppy would feel abandoned.

Here's some pixie dustpixiedust: and wishes for some positive news from the doctors!:grouphug:

Need to check with my TA to see if our documents have arrived. We are off to Disneyland in the morning for a three-day visit. Can't wait to see all the Christmas decorations. Camera battery is charged.:dance3:

Oh, I like that! I do not really want to bring a dress.....black slacks and a dressy top works for me! Still plan to wear the tops more than once....to keep packing down...

I'm SO excited that I now have two formal dresses!! I have the one I wore 2 years ago on the last PC cruise, and I had to have something to wear to David's Holiday party this year and I found a dress at Dress Barn that actually fits me and looks decent and was well under $100! Woo Hoo! Now I can have 2 different looks for the formal nights.

Too bad it had to be the size it is. Those 30 pounds I lost after the last cruise have magically reappeared. Sigh...Oh, well, who cares? I'm going on a Disney Cruise!!! :woohoo: This has become my latest mantra and I'm going to keep repeating it as often as necessary!

I'm predicting we'll be on thread #5 by the end of next week.:rotfl:

A wonderful Santa set us up a reservation at DL Club 33 for DH birthday on our last night of our vacation. What a way to top of our trip!:cloud9:

Now if I can only keep it a secret from him until we get off the ship. Good thing he's never on the internet.

Val, you find the cutest email cards! Thanks for sharing this one.

Hope Tweekie is feeling better today. Here's more pixie dust being sent your way.pixiedust:
Shirley

Shirley - Thanks - he is doing ok, seems to tolerate the meds ok. Thanks Lynne for the recommendation to folllow up the pill with a dropper of water. That helped. And the warning to get more litter and food in the house - both are necessary.

There is always something. Just got a message the company I worked for 35 years for and retired from has been reorged and has a name change. Worry is what it means for retirement pay and benefits going forward. Oh well, not much I can do about it until I know.

I didn't have one until September. Just 5 days before the WBTA I found one in the sales!!! It will have to do for a very long time. It is more maxi dress than true formal, but it feels good.

Don't know if the Dooney and Burke purses are still available onboard, but the ones in WDW were great, I love mine...mine is medium, not the smallest but not the largest 'tote' style, and it was $200. they have small clutches I believe under $100. I hope to get a DCL one onboard, even if its just the small wallet size one!

I'm torn for the formal nights too. I am bummed that 'princess' night is semi-formal, not formal. i have a beautiful full lenght princessy gown with long white gloves and tiara. not sure though if i should do it for formal night, or semi formal night, or both. decisions, decisions!

I'm still working on a formal gown. I have plenty for dinner and a semi formal one, but none of my formal gowns fit anymore. School is done for the semester so I'm hoping I'll have time now.
We're heading to WDW this weekend and I think we're going to freeze our backsides off at MVMCP Friday night!

Pick the cat up and cradle in the crook of your left arm as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth pop pill into it, allow cat to close mouth and swallow.

Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind the sofa. Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process.

Retrieve cat from bedroom and throw soggy pill away. Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm holding rear paws tightly with left hand. Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for a count of ten.

Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe. Call partner in from garden. Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees, hold front and rear paws. Ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get partner to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously.

Retrieve cat from curtain rail, get another pill from the foil wrap. Make note to buy a new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered 'Dolton' figurines from hearth and set to one side for gluing later. Wrap cat in large towel and get partner to lie on cat with head just visible from below armpit. Put pill in end of drinking straw, force cat's mouth open with pencil and blow down drinking straw.

Check label to make sure pills not harmful to humans, drink glass of water to take taste away. Apply plaster to partners forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap. Retrieve cat from neighbours shed and get another pill. Place cat in cupboard and close door onto neck to leave head showing. Force mouth open with dessert spoon and flick pill down throat with elastic band.

Fetch screwdriver from garage and put door back on hinges. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of last tetanus jab. Throw t-shirt away and fetch new one from bedroom. Ring fire brigade to retrieve cat from tree across the road and apologise to neighbour who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid the cat. Take last pill from foil wrap. Tie cats front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining table, find heavy duty pruning gloves from shed and pry cat's mouth open with a small spanner. Push pill into mouth followed by a large piece of fillet steak. Hold head vertically and pour a pint of water down throat to wash down pill.

Get partner to drive you to the Emergency Room and sit quietly while doctor stitches fingers and forearms and removes pill remnants from right eye. Call at furniture shop on way home to order new table.

Oh my god you are funny.:rotfl2:

I know it is weird but when we travel I always hit the grocery stores - my favorite place to people watch, real locals not other visitors, and buy local gifts. When we visit New Orleans I go the grocery store and buy Camilla Red Beans - 10 pounds. It is the only red beans that don't fall apart when you make red beans and rice. I haven't found Camilla beans any where else. The TSA gives me strange looks when they find a bag full of dried beans and file' seasoning.

val

Oh I love the groceries too! How funny is that. Thw walmart bakery had me right excited in PV. AND the procuce had about 10 varieties of limes!!!and tequila

We went down to the port tonight to see the Wonder sail out. It was very COLD and windy. There were few people out on deck. I was thinking that will be our home for two weeks. Love to hear the horn blow.

YAY!!!!!

I PROMISE not to notice it when anyone wears the same thing twice! I will be!!!
