Tomorrow - we take our three foster puppies to a big adoption event here in Irvine. We have had these little loves for over 4 months and I really want them to get furever homes!

They are now 6 month old and it's definitely time for them to have a place they can call thier own.

It will be hard to let them go but I bet they will find great homes and have a wonderful Christmas. Think of the joy they are going to give to a loving family. It is so exciting to see pups get adopted.

As difficult as it will be to let them go...I am just hoping that they do find homes. They are all three great dogs!

As an added bonus..the sibling of one of them (she was adopted in August) is coming to pay us a visit at the event...it will be fun to see her.

Cruise Docs Have hit the OC!!!!

I feel like we got a visit from Santa today... OUR CRUISE DOCS ARRIVED here in the Napa Valley! I was beginning to think we'd been bad this year and Santa wasn't going to let us go with all of you.

Val, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your furbaby. Remember we've just had a huge sarcoma removed from our Cocoa's cheek. Thankfully her prognosis is good. She got a crooked smile now but that just adds to her cuteness. We believe as you do. It's all about our furbaby's quality of life. If we'd been given a different prognosis we would have made whatever decision we needed to. I've done it many times before. It doesn't get any easier but we love them so much that we feel we owe it to them to let them go when the time comes.

We got our docs today. It feels good to have things fall in place. I still need to pickup postcards and get one more Secret Mickey gift.

UGH, still no docs for us. I was sure to find them in the mailbox when we arrived home from Dallas today, but nope, they weren't there.

While in Dallas, Jarrod's brother wanted to go ahead and give the kids their Christmas presents. He got Haley Epic Mickey. She's just now trying it out and I can't wait to watch her play it and play it myself!

Tomorrow night, Jarrod and I are going to see Trans Siberian Orchestra. We've never been but my sister has and said they have an excellent show. We're really looking forward to it!

I deal with stress by eating, I can barely get my jeans zipped. But----it isn't going to stop me from shopping next Saturday bright and early. The Ghiradelli Chocolate factory (the real one where they make the stuff - you gain 5 pounds just breathing) is in San Leandro, about 30 min. from San Francisco. They have an outlet store where in addition to the left over stuff they sell their stuff by the bulk. Chocolate to cook with by the block, specialty stuff like their hot chocolate mix (yum) and hot chocolate with mint (yum yum). Ever flavor of bit size chocolates individually wrapped for stocking stuffers. Next Saturday is their annual sale and because I am such a VIP (sucker) they sent me a coupon for another 20% off - Guess what all our doctor's nurses, receptionists, the mail man, etc. is getting?

Sorry you are going through this. We had to put a dog to sleep over 2 years ago due to cancer. We had had him since the day he was born and he had just turned 10. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. So to you and I hope it's not that serious.

As far as the chocolate, I do the same thing. And Ghirardelli, oh I LOVE that stuff. When we visited San Fran in Oct, I went to Ghirardelli Square almost daily. Every time I would walk in, they asked me if I wanted a sample. Of course I could not turn it down! It was the Spiced Pumpkin Caramel and t was it was so YUMMY! I would have liked to have visited the factory while we were out there. Hopefully next time!

So I checked our cruise docs. They haven't listed DH on most of the pages and no luggage tags for him either. Are they trying to tell us something He is still on the booking online, but I will call them tomorrow, just to make sure everything is A-OK.

We received our cruise docs and Magical Express in today's mail also.

We are planning to do the Dessert package with reserved seating for Fantasmic. We have to wait until 30 days before to call Guest Relations.
I'm going to send you a PM and see if that works...and then you can just reply to see if that will work.

I've put on a couple of lbs just reading that Val!!!!! I always eat, stress, depression, you name it!!

We manage 2 or 3 trips into the Ghiradelli shop at DTD for a free chocolate. I mean each time we go there, and we usually stay at SSR and walk there every day!!! One day John was recognised!!!! He even eats the peanut butter ones, and he hates the stuff(and nuts in general) with a passion!!

And the document dance is happening in Michigan too! Funny, DVC called DCL and was told that they were sent out 11/22 - the postmark on the envelope was 12/01. But, I don't care, they are here and I must be going somewhere.

12/01 here as well. Arrived today.

Hey, I should make it clear, I love my job,,,,
But nursing the no hopers is the worst, even worse than pts's
Nursing things back from the brink and handing them back to owners makes me weep when they see each other again.
In fact IVE BEEN LOOKING AFTER A NEWFOUNDLAND ALL WEEK, ITS TOO BIG FOR A KENNEL so its been my little helper following me around all week, hes good now going home tonight, I will miss him next week.
He is such a sap, I was pretending to blow his nose for him, he looked at me like I was nuts(which I am)

Marilyn, I cant decide if human nursing would be worse or better, I def could not do kids/babies though, they are hero nurses.



Lindababe, we still on for fish lips, not sure if we will eat but would LOVE to meet you for a drink and say hi.

Yes, the porters can fix it at port -I always need more and believe me, I tip them VERY well

Still no docs.

All the fun preparations for the holidays are done.

I guess I'll do the filing and clean out the papers for years end so when I come home it will be relatively easy to do the taxes.

And I should bake some cookies. Kinda lost the enthusiasm for that since I can't eat them by the handful any more.

Quick post - productive day - went to some great markets and picked up some gorgeous Mexican outfits for the girls - I imagine they'll wear them 3 or 4 nights on the cruise.

Also made my final list with packing specifics and a day-by-day list of what needs to get done. Fingers crossed it pans out.

Oooh also looked at extended weather forecast for Orlando - some cold days ahead ! Who knows what the temp. Will be like when we get there, I guess !

I'll do an extended post tomorrow. 'Night all.
