Cruise Site is updated.

Had one of the missing people get back on board, just waiting for them to resend their info.

Numbers continue to grow as I added 1 more state room and 2 others split.

349 people in 135 staterooms, traveling as 108 parties.
This is 14.54% of the normal guest capacity(2400) of the Wonder.
This is 12.93% of the maximum guest capacity (2700) of the Wonder.
This is 15.39% of the available staterooms(877).

Quick post - about to head out to Cubs....

The Fed-Ex man has just been ! YAYAY ! :cool1: Makes it all so real, doesn't it ?

I have a huge favour to ask... anyone who has a DD or DS who was posting in the teen / tween thread - would you mind responding to my DD1's post ? She'd love to get a reply or two to her post, as she's a little nervous about meeting new kids in the club (she reckons she's going to hang out by the pool and eat pizza all day with intermittent trips to watch a movie or two  ) I'd love for her to meet some other kids her own age :)

Anyway, must fly - we're making white Christmas and madeira cake truffles... it's the first time I'm running the whole meeting ! :scared1:

Cheers,
Sally :)

Hi Sally ~

I will have my DD (14) post to the teen/tween thread this afternoon when she's home from school. We are located across the hallway from your cabin & DD would love a buddy to hang out with at the pool, movies, activities!!

Good luck with the Cubs meeting -- DD is 'going for Gold' (Girl Scout's Gold Award)...long road but worth it!

See you REAL soon!
Tahara

I KNEW we were sisters born in different countries :rotfl2:

Who were the "Route 66" fans? I have a book called Route 66 The Mother Road to bring to the first one who posts for it.

I am a HUGE Route 66 fan! Mike and I drove from NJ to Chicago where its starts, then drove the entire length from Chicago to LA in August this year, it was such an amazing experience. Stopped at all the kitschy sights, diners, and landmarks along the way, I wish I had that much time to do that trip every year- we took 2 weeks, and then I took another week to travel back home some driving/some flying to some other spots. I would love to read the book if you can bring it, I can read about Route 66 forever!

My DD starts on her Gold next year - she can't wait! I can't believe this her last year in Cadette's already...seems like she was just a Daisy!

DD will be 14 about a week after we get off of the ship.

Wondering what people have decided to do in Manzanillo. Any recommendations?

We're going on the city tour & shopping. :)

So are we.

The day after christmas.
sorry I thought it was called that everywhere.

Weather.............
So, we cant get the car out, in fact I couldnt even get the door open this am there is so much snow, weve got no power either for the last 24 hours, I cant get to work, I had to walk to my mums for bfast and internet! as were all electric!

Oh my! How do the dogs like it? Can they get out? We used to have to shovel a paht for our chihuahua so he could get to the tree. And no power when it is cold (or when it is hot I guess) is awful. Hopefully it will be back up soon.

Made it to Orlando!!! First class and baileys. Started this week off right!
:cheer2::cheer2::banana::banana::banana:

Congrats! Have a great time.

Well, we made it home safe and sound. Dogs are home and happy. I did learn something that I thought I would share with any of the ladies expecting to book a color service in the salon - they do not do color anymore! I had a friend on the Wonder this past week and she went to find out what brand they used so I could get a formula for them and was told they no longer provide that service. That is a fine kettle of fish - for me anyway. Now I have to regroup and figure something else out.

Well, have a good day everyone!

Today, I'll prepare the white potatos (half cauliflower to make the dish lower carb) and make the Pope's ginger cookes (nothing healthy about them!)
So does it actually taste like potatoes? I have heard to use cauliflower but I'm not a fan of the taste.

I am very blessed this year as my daughter had her surgery yesterday and they removed a golf ball size tissue and the report was no malignacy. What a blessing.

Have a wonderful day and enjoy family!:grouphug:
What wonderful news!!!!

I could use some pixie dust here for me. Spent yesterday morning at the Dr. office. THey are doing some tests - I have had stomach pains for 2 weeks and they are trying to figure out what it is. Hopefully something simple and easily cured!
pixiedust: :goodvibes

Jill and I are meeting for lunch next Friday. I'm not sure of the time or place yet -- she lives in north Ft. Worth and I live in south Arlington. We would love to meet some more north Texas folks. PM me if you're interested.
tenya
I'll be back in town but very busy during the time that I'm there. Hope y'all have a great time!

doorbell rings. DS says "Mom small package arrived!!" growing excitement!!!

it's proactive for DD2. sigh. good for her, prednisone over long term does a number on her but not good for me.
Proactive is great for DD if she'll use it. She'll do great at times and then other times she doesn't. Showing her pictures on google of what bad acne looks like did help some.

Sorry you're w/o power! No fun when the power is out for extended times. Hpe it's back on soon for ya!

Whew, made it through the last 5 days of post!

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. DH had to work the night before and morning of but was in home in time for a big lunch. I made a traditional Thanksgiving feast and although it was just our household, we still had a nice time.

Thanksgiving evening, we put up the tree and a few decorations up around the house. We tried to finish up our shopping yesterday but still have a couple more people to buy for. FIL is so tough! I never know what to get him.

For any newcomers, this is information on it: Some of us have decided to have an account at SmugMug. Although they do charge, they don't compress photos like the free websites do. Anyway, we'll use this account to upload any photos we take with our own cameras that we want to share with other participants. Some people have stated that they don't like to take pictures/aren't good photographers and that's okay too. If you join our group, you can upload and/or download.

When we first started discussing this, SmugMug billed yearly. However, now they offer monthly billing. I still think we should go with yearly billing and allow our photos to expire in one year. That will be sufficient time to allow everyone to upload/download and everyone will know how much longer they have. Also, you basically get 4 months free going with the yearly billing.

RRBB and I discussed using Power ($60/yr) or Basic ($40/yr) http://www.smugmug.com/photos/photo-sharing-features/ .WeLuvDCL pointed out that we should have option of uploading video and she is absolutely correct. In that case, Power will be what we need. I was also thinking about setting the account up right after we return home so we get the full benefit of the year. I plan to set up folders by the day, then sub-folders for different events, restaurants, ect. Again, I'm open to suggestions.

The cost will be divided up among all members, I will figure out the per/person costs and people can pay me on the cruise or send me payment via paypal after the cruise if we don't get a chance to meet up during the cruise (you can do so before the cruise if you want as well). I won't have the username/password until I set up the account but will pass that along as soon as the account is activated.

Remember, the deadline is this Wednesday, December 1 to sign up.

There is some concern about the room tour schedule. The concerns seem to be how long this tour will be and if those opening their rooms will have an opportunity to view other cabins. One idea is when we know the time we will be doing the tour we assign times for each deck. This would allow the people who are opening their rooms to know when to open and close their rooms - allowing them to see the rooms on the other decks. How do you all feel about that? If you like the idea, who much time should we spend on each deck?
Here is the breakdown of the number of rooms currently on each deck

8 – 4
7 – 5
6 – 5

Apparently our cruise is not sold out. The DCL site lists categories 10C, 11 B & 11C and 5A available for the 5A it gave room 7044 available. Val

Yes, it does, for half the carbs.

Yes, it does, for half the carbs.

Thanks. Might have to give it a try sometime. Carbs are my weakness. I do like meat but could give it up forever if I had too. Carbs, on the other hand, I could never do without long term.

Am hoping someone can help.

I'm trying to buy the children T-shirts from the Disney.store and getting then delivered to the POR but the website keeps asking me to put in an address in the address line despite me doing it multiple times.

What an I doing wrong?!??!

Do you have an account set up?

What part of the address does it not like?

Just wondering if it is your billing address that is causing problems (I have a similar issue when ordering things for the UK - sometimes they don't recognize my US address, so I have to fudge it!)

I've been looking too. At any time, I've seen a combination of inside, outside, and verandah rooms available. I really doubt we'll sell out. Its just too hard of a time for people to make.
