The news just reported the arrest of a young man in Oregon who thought he was blowing up a tree lighting ceremony in Oregon. Luckly for us, some intrusive organization in our government was able to stop it and save lives. So, while I find the the TSA business at the airport annoying and wish for the pre 9-11 times, I'll put up with them, the nice ones and the creeps, to at least feel a little safer - whether I am or not.
However, since most of us with be flying the friendly skys soon, thought you might find these new TSA bumper stickers worth a smile:

CRUISE DOCUMENTS ARRIVED TODAY.
Afternoon all. I am totally amazed at the difference a few weeks has made in DMIL - amazing. She is so much more her old self and was awake for our entire visit this morning. Now our afternoon visit was during her nap but I am just so pleased from this morning (and last night too actually) that I can hardly stand it.

Well, what a difference a few days make. The move is off.
In the run up to the Transatlantic cruise, I made friends with some people who were on the cruise and live in Dubai. I had emailed them before I went to Dubai in the hope to meet up with them. They happened to be on holiday, but emailed me on Wednesday. They raised a few issues that put me on high alert and prompted me to ask further questions. I also did some research online and I did not like what I found out through either.
This should have been a fairly straightforward transfer and I should have kept my seniority and all the length of service related benefits. By asking a few questions, I found out that they see this as a completely new employment and I would lose all the benefits that I have worked so hard for including my profit share. This was totally unacceptable to me.
I also found out that it is normal practice that you are shown your accommodation during the interview process. This did not happen. I was just given the name of the area where I would be housed. When I googled this, I found out that this is essentially an industrial estate and that most of the residential aspect of this are labour camps. They had kept rather quite about this as well.
Needless to say, I turned down their "generous" offer yesterday and I am staying put where I am.

These are too funny. I would love to share with friends if possible.
Aw Corinna,
So sorry, I know you were so excited about this. But at least you found out BEFORE you moved. What an amazing help your friends were and so glad you found out more on google. I swear, what would we do without the internet.
On Thanksgiving, my little 19 month old niece fell and literally indented her head on the metal railing of a bed. I thought for sure we would have to take her to the doctor's. I remembered an old wives tales about a sticky concoction that helped my then 1 yr old son (who tripped and fell on some cobblestones and got a massive head bump) not have a bad bruise or concussion. Anyway, my aunt who was there at the time put some egg whites and salt on him and he got no bruise or swelling the next day. Well, believe it or not, my oldest DD googled it and we put some egg whites on the goose-egg. She would not let us put the egg membrane on it so we just put the egg whites on it. Believe it or not, she does not have a bruise. This is amazing because as soon as it happened. Her forehead - just above her left eyebrow - was swollen the size of an egg and you could see the blood rushing to the area. We kept putting on the egg white and watched her and she was fine. Next morning momma reported - no bruising. So....my point to the story - thank God for googling as I couldn't remember exactly what it was that made up the sticky homeopathic remedy but Google did. Google works just has to be asked right.![]()
I'm so pleased you found all this out before you landed there. As someone said, a close shave, but you must still be disappointed.
Funny enough, I am not really disappointed. I am relieved that I had such a narrow escape and also angry that they were trying to screw me over.
Now I can just concentrate on Christmas and the cruise preparations. I just ordered a whole lot of materials for my Fish Extender gift.
I also ordered my dress for the vow renewal from my favourite seller in China today. I can't wait to hold it in my hands, but this will probably be after the cruise as it is made to measure and then has to be shipped from China.
Corinna
Well that is good you aren't disappointed.
When are you having your vow renewal? Now that is exciting, and of course worthy of a lovely new dress!!!
GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Posted on page 1 Post 2.
The "Contact" information from DVCinderella has also been posted on page one. If you have information about other suppliers, please pm me and I will add it to that post.
Thanks for posting this Linda!
Corinna- congrats on the job offer!
Sorry, I've been MIA for a while. DH's power cord for his laptop broke and a day later mine did too. Add in Thanksgiving travel with 2 toddlers and my baby girl's 2nd birthday and I'm still trying to catch up! Have a great day everyone!
My heart is broken today. My sweet little Bichon Frise, Murphy, passed last night. We had him for 15 years.
Please give all your furbabies hugs for me.

Here you go!Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I could use some pixie dust here for me. Spent yesterday morning at the Dr. office. THey are doing some tests - I have had stomach pains for 2 weeks and they are trying to figure out what it is. Hopefully something simple and easily cured!
Pixie dust for you
THe turkey is in the oven and I am about to go set the table for my family. Blessings to everyone as we start this holiday season!
Blessed Friday to all...
Wow...fantastic news! Was there anything exciting in the packet? Our last cruise document set was uninspiring except for the luggage tags! I remember our excitement of getting the 'big' envelope! Will now watch the street for UPS!
Morning Linda!!
We loved HP7.1, though it is L-O-N-G! Hope youenjoy
it and don't have the crowd issues -- we're really spoiled with movies at home (we had a
family at HP7.1 that talked throughout it, ugh "who is that? what does that mean? think something will happen next?"...so I 'shhhhhh'd' them
!)
Hi Lisa, you stalk CT & I'll stalk TX!!
Weather is much cooler.......time to put up the Christmas tree & decorations, then special dinner & play "The SantaLand Diaries" with my BFF
...
Wishing everyone a WONDERful day...
Tahara
I think they posted a plan where by the last people would inform the room hosts who then closed the room and became the new "last people" . It certainly behooves those attending to show up in a timely manner out of consideration for the hosts!
These are too funny. I would love to share with friends if possible.![]()
Val-- do you need a 5B for the tour? We're in 6074 and would be happy to open the cabin up if needed. If you've already got one, we won't add ours.
tenya
