We finally got our assingment - 6039. It was a small upgrade - 11B to 11A. I checked our map and we are next door to txcnm.

ETA: There wasn't a room report on that room. Anyone stayed there???

Next round of room assignments have begun.

Our 12C was assigned as 2581 which is a 10B midship. Location works for us and the young ladies are happy to have a split bath.

Go check. Ours was assigned some time in the last hour.

We will need to buy a 2 day DL ticket. Does anyone know what the current prices are on the gate, or at the hotel so I can compare with buying over here before we go? I am presuming it will be cheaper to buy here, but as we have a lot of $'s to take with us it would save paying now with Christmas on the way!!

I was just looking to see if I can find out where I got my last tickets, and I found this info on mousesavers

Using Walt Disney World Tickets at Disneyland

Interesting, unpublished fact: you can use any unexpired, leftover days on a Walt Disney World ticket at Disneyland or Disney California Adventure! Present the Disney World ticket at the gate on arrival -- they will take it somewhere, deduct a day from it, and give you a one-day Disneyland Park Hopper ticket. You can repeat this day by day until the Disney World ticket is used up. They will not give you a multi-day ticket all at once, even if you have multiple days left on your Disney World ticket. Also, MouseSavers.com reader Danny P notes that any Disneyland ticket obtained from exchanging a Walt Disney World ticket must be used on the same day it was exchanged.

This policy has been in effect at least since I started this site (2001), and the information was last reconfirmed by a MouseSavers reader as of October 2010. Don't even bother calling Disneyland to ask about this -- the people answering the phone have no idea and they will tell you they don't take Disney World tickets.

So it might be worth getting a longer WDW ticket with unexpired option.

ROOM TOUR UPDATE
How it works: Cruisers volunteer to let others visit their cabin and see what the different categories are like. So, on a sea day, at an established time, (final time set after other event times are published) starting on the lowest deck, we visit the different category of cabins. It is great fun to parade down the halls meeting each other and getting a real look at those rooms we all take only a quick peak into as we pass an open door. Additionally, it allows us to share cabin living ideas such as use of an over-the-door shoe storage hanger to put all the “stuff” that ends up set everywhere; or printing a few 4x6x pictures each night at Shutters and decorating one wall as the cruise progresses. Here is a list of people who have generously offered their room at this time and the categories we are still looking for. Now that we are beginning to have GTY and upgrade assignments made, please PM with your cabin numbers. Also, if you are assigned to a category not yet assigned on the tour and are willing to allow us to peak at your cabin please PM me. Val

You have snagged a great room as you don't have anyone on one side of you, just a lifeboat, and that would be the side where the smoke from neighbouring smokers down wind might bother you. I know someone who always books that room on the other side of the ship. We have stayed down the corridor from your room and it is very quiet indeed with little foot traffic.

:worship: Thank you, I knew it would be quiet which will work for us at night. And I am at the aft elevators. :confused3 OK - I'm good.

I remember that from our last PC cruise, but we have WDW AP's at the moment. I am sure there are others who will benefit from this tough, so a great heads up!!!

Yes, aft elevators, but a little away from them. That elevator area is always quiet. We sometimes sit on the easy chairs just there as it it a peaceful spot.

Mixology and Hawaiian Shirt Contest
Are you interested in a private DCL mixology tasting? Learn all about how those colorful drinks of the day are made and just who gets to name them. For some additional fun, we’ll have a Hawaiian Shirt Contest, seems to go with all those little paper umbrellas and tropical fruit
DCL has been advised that the number of 1-6-11 PC DISboard members who are interested in a private mixology, drink of the day, tasting is now at 40. Will keep you posted as to their response
Please review the following list and count of the number of people who have indicated they are interested in attending. PM me if you wish to be added or if corrections to this list are needed . val Mahalo

PUNTARENAS, COSTA RICA TOURS UPDATE
03.jpg

Ride in an air-conditioned spacious vehicle, being driven by an experienced driver, to Costa Rica’s most popular national park, Manuel Antonio, where our private nature guide will give us a narrative of the geologic features, national history, local botany, as well as exotic tropical birds, monkeys and sloths we will see. Guide will provide books, binoculars and a spotting scope we can share during our tour
images

Then enjoy the Manuel Antonio beach, equally good for snorkeling, swimming and just laying on the beach before a lunch stop at a quality restaurant where we can choose among traditional Costa Rican favorites or more familiar foods, such as burgers and fries or sandwiches.
images

On the way back to the ship we will have an opportunity, if time permits, to stop at a number of photo opportunities and souvenir shopping spots. These might include Villa Lupas and Santa Lucia, an eco-friendly resort within a tranquil rain-forest preserve for nature lovers.

Oddessy has offered to provide us with two 34 seat buses for 14 to 22 passengers and two 16 seat vans for groups between 6 and 8 passengers, allowing ample room for a comfortable journey and movement to see animal sightings.. Of course there will be driver and nature guide on each vehicle for the party going on it.

The cost of this full-day tour, with park entry fee and lunch included is $85 per person plus tip. Children under 8 years old receive 15% off, under age 3 are free. Oddessy Tours can now accept credit card payments.

The following 7 cruiser families and 22 individuals have indicated they will be joining us on this tour. PM me if you have would like additional info or wish to join us. Val

In the event of a Tron Legacy showing, Sci-Fi night will be postponed to fit around the showing :)

I am willing to bet Tron Legacy will be on the ship and in 3D no less. With its almost certain PG-13 rating I can guess it will be shown a lot in the evening.

I just cancelled a 1-bedroom at VGC post-cruise. If anyone's on the waitlist, I hope it comes through.
