We may get 150 peeps in the boat ... My question is what are they gonna do with all the bags?

I'm sure those with rooms will store some bags!!!;) We are on Deck 7, but if we had been on Deck 6, the folk in the lifeboat below could have climbed up for a shower!!

Back from Scout training and work - it was a fabulous weekend, with lots of laughs, in a beautiful setting.

The chap who was sitting next to me is a maintenance engineer for Qantas, and he said the 380 won't be back for our Christmas Day flight - we'll be on a 747 instead - phew !

Anyway, I'm back at work in 8 hours, so replies will have to wait until tomorrow night.

Have a great meet today, though :)

cheers,
Sally :)

7 weeks today and we will be leaving for the airport hotel to stay the night before our flight the next day!!!:dance3:

It is getting close now!!! I have started trying clothes on again. Might need a slightly different mix of clothing this trip than the TA in September, just really don't know. Perhaps an extra pair of long pants just in case it is cool on the West coast when we land and also back in Orlando later. It was perishing this last February.

Oh my!!!:yay::yay::yay:

Getting closer! We leave 5 weeks from Wednesday. OMG - I thought this would never get here and now my weekly count is in single digits. Can't wait.

I hope everyone has a great time at the CA meet today. I will just be patient and meet everyone on the ship.

I think I am going to do some shopping on Land's End today - thanks Val for sharing the free shipping and 30% info. My favorite suitcase has a crushed corner and I really should replace it and with a sale, the exta and free shipping, I might have to give LE luggage a shot.

Take care everyone and have a great day.

So i found the pc webcam but the wonder is far away in the background. is there another website with a webcam that you can see the wonder on better? (i know i need to go back to school to learn english, but you get the idea) thanks!!

So thankful all is well.

A pinched nerve in the area of my shoulder blade. I actually have much more relief today, but don't want to brag yet.

I am taking my grandson Nathan's girlfriend shopping today. That is the couple I sent you homecoming pictures of. She wants to go to the outlets and we have such a good time together so I know we will enjoy our day. I think Nathan may be a little jealous, but he has football practice, so I will take him another day!:lovestruc Anything for my kids.

My dd had a breast biopsy yesterday and I have been on pins and needles in two different ways. She called at noon yesterday to say she was sore but everything appeared okay. Now to wait for the official okay!

Have a wonderful day. It is very foggy here right now, but suppose to be in the 60's. I could take this weather until spring. Maybe I will, in South Carolina!:lmao:

Waiting is hard. The more time that passes, the more likely it will be good news.

A big thanks to those who served our country. With out you I couldnt go and freeze my rear end off today. So thank you. I wished I worked today. We are asking all persons with military ID and their families to board early and get a free drink. I really like it when we do things like that. I know it is not much but it still makes me happy that as a company we did something.

This is the kind of thing that makes SWA great...and devoted staff like you Alan!

DW and I are looking forward to joining you all on the Panama Canal cruise. Less than two months to go :cool1::thumbsup2:yay:

Welcome!

With time, women gain weight becasue we accumulate to much information and widom in our head that when there is no more room, it distributes out to the rest of our bodies. So we aren't heavy, we are enormously cultured, educated and happy. Beginning today, when i look at my butt in the mirror i will think: "Good Grief, look how smart I am!!"

:rotfl::rotfl:

That is wonderful! I am going to use that.

OK which of you is responsible for making the time fly by so fast? I have a lot to cover before we leave. Everytime I stop by here I go into a panic! I better get myself sorted and get busy!!!!;)

Our dot-ter, 7 yr old dalmatian Cocoa, had to have a large cancerous tumor removed from her mouth and is still not able to be left alone.

Sorry to hear about your Cocoa. Here's some pixiedust: for a quick and speedy recovery.

Just wanted to give a couple of reminders:

1) I'm keeping a list of pre/post-cruise hotel stays. Send me a private message if you haven't and want to be included on the list.

2) Around the first week of Dec I'm going to close out the SmugMug group. That way I will have a chance to PM everyone to make sure they still want to participate and I can get an accurate number and know how much to collect from everyone. Check the link in my signature if you want to know more about the SmugMug group. PM me if you want to be included :)

Ask and you shall receive!
This is what concierge just sent me

Does that help?:rolleyes1

THANK YOU! I'll put it up on the first page.

Greetings everyone!
I seem to recall many of you lamenting a while back about being unable to find cute shoes for wide feet...
Just thought I would let you know that 6pm.com is having a "Size and WIDTH Blowout Sale" today. I, of course, don't know your taste to define what you would consider "cute," but it may be worth checking out...most are $9.95 and $11.95 with NO tax and $6.95 shipping.

Have a great day!
Melissa

That would be me - and of course I didn't have internet for nearly three days and totally missed it. THANK YOU for posting it - hope others were lucky!

However, I *have* resolved my cute shoe issue, I think, without buying new shoes.

And another Mensa member here! Too cute.
Oh my. Mensa here, too, lol.

Well, we are off in a bit to drive out to a country market - they have the best meat counter with real butchers (something we do not have where I live). I imagine there is a stop that the Amish store in my near future too. It is all good.

Have a great day everyone!
Oh I AM envious! We bring home a huge cooler full every time we pass Yoder's in Shipshewana, IN.

Carmie, I added a line to the first page posting on this group saying that it would close to new members on December 1. If you want a different date, let me know.

NEW ENGLAND MEET

We had a SUPER time - Eating, talking, laughing sharing scrapbooks of previous cruises plus making the waiter crazy, I'm sure. Amazing prelude to the cruise:laughing: CAN'T WAIT!

Got my postcards for the postcard exchange today, another thing checked off the list! I also finalized my FE gift order earlier this week, this makes it all feel so much more real and close knowing that the little details are finally coming together.

I was wondering, does anyone know if you can bring an open bottle of wine on to the ship in PC? I have always stocked up on liquor bottles to carryon in my rolling cooler before the cruise, but they were always new/sealed. However, I do love the South African wines at Jiko and was wondering if I got one there for dinner and had some left if I could bring the rest on the cruise or if they only allowed unopened bottles?

Glad you had a great time. THanks for sharing the picture. I keep meaning (and forgetting) to post the pic of Tinksmom (Tenya) and I from our meet last weekend and now DH has my camera with memory card in Chicago. He'll be back on Wednesday and I'll post it:goodvibes I'll also have a folder on our Smug Mug site for local pre-cruise meets.

Hello Everyone!:cool2:

My mom (Cruisin' Dearie) and I will be joining you on this amazing cruise. I was very excited to find the DISboards and this thread, even though we are kind of late in joining. There seems to be a lot of very fun people on here!

My mother surprised me a few weeks ago with an invitation to be her companion through the Panama Canal. We have a cat. 11C GTY so far, so we're waiting patiently (not!) in a lifeboat!

I'm hoping we can meet up with some of you. I've been reading the thread and I'll send PMs to those of you who are planning some of the activities. We would enjoy being a part of the "Champagne Girls" get together and the room tour. We are happy to open our room to the tour, if you really want to see a lifeboat :rotfl2:.

I noticed that several people were on the Sep. westbound TA Magic cruise. My parents were aboard and had a wonderful time. I've cruised Disney once, last May for a 7 night eastern Caribbean trip.

We are counting down the days,

Stephanie

Hi Stephanie and mom. Pleased you are joining us and hopefully will be out of your lifeboat very soon.

We were on the WBTA but i can't remember your parents as yet. I will go nosey on the thread and see if i can remember them.

Welcome Stephanie and Mom, we too are in a lifeboat! SO ready for our assignment. Availability is changing like crazy so hopefully that means soon!!!
