Jen, thank you for the information. It looks like a great place!

Lynne, I could be wrong, but didn't they move the drink station? Maybe it will work out after all. Here's hoping!

We are still GTY here, hopefully we are all finalized soon.

I hope everyone's team wins today! Go Bucs!

Not trying to take away a running buddy from Lynne, but I currently run around 9-10 minute mile so maybe we could meet up sometime. Might be a good incentive to know someone is waiting on me to go run, would get me up and out of bed! I hope to get my excersing done before breakfast so it's done and not something I need to fit in somewhere else during the day.

And Lynne, sorry about your room assignment. Hope something good comes out of it :goodvibes

That would be great! 10 -12 is actually my full marathon speed. I am a little faster for shorter runs so we would probably be well suited!

Well, well, well, now that I have had a chance to look at the ship map, I'm not really sure WHAT category it is...maybe some of you can help me:confused3!
We have Rooms 6321 and 6019.
6321 is already highlighted as a DISer room so I'm thinking that group dropped out?? I mean, I like you all, but I don't know that I want to SLEEP with you :lmao:

6321 was my room, I upgraded, it is a Cat 11B.

I am hoping that your room has some unforseen location perks and turn out just fine!

Are you and Len doing the Goofy next year? I have been thinking about it, especially since I could not do the wine and dine. I did go to support a friend and couldn't believe how early they had you at the start line. That's really he only thing holding me back at this point.

Will you run regularly onboard? I could use a running buddy but I am not so fast. I run anywhere between a 10 and 12 minute mile right now.

Ta!
Yes, we are ,we are booking onboard to do a 4 day dream afterwards....
Cant wait,

OK< this is perfect I will run with Izma, and carmie can run with Len!

I will run onboard, definatly, its so busy up on deck 4 though, you cant really run together, I go pretty early, around 7, then I sometimes claimed a spinning bike before I started ,then run a bit, then back to the gym.
Only thing is, there were folks walking with buggies and also folk walking HOLDING HANDS! often with earohones on so it was impossible to pass them, I got frustrated and went to the tread mill.
We done at least 3 miles a day.

Hey, Im sorry for moaning, thats what I paid for.
Running,,,see above. Im slower , last half marathon I ran at 10 miles ph so a bit slow for you, Len is faster than me:rolleyes:
We sometimes ran around 12 as it was quiter around then.

Attention Attention the vets ran out of cigarretes:scared1:

:laughing::laughing::laughing:

better go and let her get to the shop.

Izma you fancy a dream cruise afterwards?
When can you book the goofy?
I was all set to do it this year but this came up:goodvibes

Full marathon, WOW! Never even ran a half. I haven't been running long, around 6 months, but the furthest I've ran is 6.5 miles and I ran it at just over 9 min miles. Every time I get in a groove and start improving something gets in the way. My goal is the Princess Half in 2012. At least I have plenty of time to get prepared!

Jeff did Goofy's a few years ago. He was so proud of himself for finishing both races. He wants to do it again, but stuff keeps coming up. He also wants to do the Big Sur marathon.

Waiting for my brother to get home to see if his GTY was assigned.....

I just checked ours and we are still GTY!

My favorite deck is #5. We got upgraded there on our MED cruise and it was so nice to just walk over to the kids club.

That was my plan too...derailed by the PC!
Of course I fancy a Dream Cruise afterwards...I leave it to you to convince DH...!!
I think you can book it a couple of days after this years Goofy...probably while we are on the ship. I think it sells out rather quickly, like in a few days.

I am so dumb that, never having run a step, the first running event I ever entered was the Chicago Marathon, with a whopping 5 months to train. It was very fun though!

He posted a photo with his medals!!! HE SHOULD be proud. I could imagine it but then when I discovered you had to be at the start soooooooo early for the Wine and Dine, I really couldn't imagine it!!!

All the runners who haven't read it already shoud read "Born to Run" the author is slipping my mind right now, but it is a funny running book, even for non runners.

My Mom and Dad are a GTY and have no assignment yet.

Still in the lifeboat! :lmao:

I had hope - I was on this morning at 1:30 A.M. and the site was down for maintenance - when it came back up - all the 5's were gone..I was hoping we were being assigned..oh well!

We can work on your husband... harang him till he says yes!
Yes, I know re selling out fast, wonder how we can find out whenit goes on sale?
I emailed them and they reluctantly gave me a date for 2012 but wouldnt say anything else.

We have a good friend that is 3 star Army General he was head of Rdedstone back in the 80s when we were there. Oh the stories he tells. Yesterday was the Triathalon here in Panama City when I was driving home after midnight people were still competing! Think CC will be too cold to swim? I am a wimp I live in Florida! Gators are making a comeback! I am wondering if the transfers from the resort to PC will be early since maybe there will not be as many people? I am trying to schedule my Mom a massage at Jambo and will like to do it that day. I am thinking 930am. I can do it earlier but would prefer the am of the cruise. I have heard the busses do not pick up until at least 11am.

Do you know if Jim & Cindy have been assigned a cabin yet?

Yep, just talked to Cid...they are 6133 (aft). But, we are thinking of switching Mom and Dad (6019) with Cindy and Jim (6133) so that Dad doesn't have to walk as far. Since all of the restaurants (except Tritons) are aft and Dad is full time in either a wheelchair or walking with a cane, it seems like a better option for him.

Lynne, I was actually really excited about being forward...we are close to the spa, the adult area, the gym and the front for Sunrises and PC day :woohoo:
I'm a slow runner so I'll run with you and you can come get me on your way up, but I am planning on getting up at 6!!:scared1:

I went to Target today and all of their Halloween stuff was 90% off! I got the most AWFUL "tourist" costume for $2.00 for Mixology! My DD LOVES it, but she said she will pretend she doesn't know me:lmao: I also got a Pirate set (sword, patch, earring & hook) for $.80 (that's right, 80 CENTS)!

I have to say our last cabin aft deck 2 was brilliant for getting to dinner on time!
I will probably be up around 6 too, esp as my time clock will be out.
the gym opened at 7 I think if I mind right on the ta cruise, its great running early, you get the sunrises, pilot boats but mind on port days they shut the front of deck 4 off.

just checked mums she is gty still, weve got 2009, bit dissapointed in location, right up the front, I am always at the drinks station so really could not have been worse, please dont anybody point out that is the point gty or book what your happy with, cause Im so tired I might cry !

Lynne, we had a room in that area once - and turned out liking it very much - the bow elevators aren't terribly busy and it's very handy to the gym, spa, adult pool and Cove cafe, and going down to the clubs and theatre. And, it was quiet as the proverbial tomb with NO traffic in front of the door.

Today I went to a bookstore about 45 minutes from my home to see Buddy Valestro- the Cake Boss on the cable station TLC. He was doing a book signing. I got there about 9:45 and there were people in line already. He was not scheduled to come until 12:30. It was freezing! We kind of took turns saving spots while people went to their cars to get warm for a while. The wind was awful! Finally he came and I got some great pictures. I was about #25 in line. There had to be at least 300 or more people there. I managed to get a picture taken with him. He seems just like he is on TV- very friendly, funny and an all around nice guy. Now I am trying to get warm again. Will go and see if We are still in a lifeboat or we have a cabin number.

Linda, thanks for the konks kooler rundown!
Jen, it was nice to hear that you got to have a nice dinner out.

Good luck everyone with room allocations. Hope the upgrade fairy is kind to you!

He has an interesting show. Thought I would die on the episode where they did the polar bear swim and his mom chewed him out - too funny!
