Having nothing to do with anything: just about a year no two years ago my whole immediate family - DH, DD1, DD2, DS and DD1 b/f, and DS friend met our good friends DH, DW, DD and DS and did OKW grand villa and 2 extra rooms. Then b/f parents joined us but having not told us ended up at another hotel. all met for leavng last day. DH, DD1 and 2, DS and friend to maryland, b/f to california, b/f parents to st louis, freinds to chattanooga (what aGREAT vaca we had!!!! for real!). Disney put b/f luggage on our flight, unbeknownst to us. or him. Disney:0 , luggage 1. took us several days, and only because it was stolen by homelss guy who got picked up with it, did it get found (b/f didn't lock it or put name tag on it with his cell). fast foward to THIS week:. b/f going to spend time with DD/CM. b/f arrives in Orlando. Guess what doesn't? and guess what isn't locked and doesnt have a name tag on it!! LoL!!! nice guy but slow learner! luggage 2, disney 0, b/f -0 !!

last time i went down we accidentlly grabbed someone elses's suitcase, looked like mine. i had name/cell on it so before the magical express took off,i got a call saying the guy had my suitcase, did i have his. so i asked ME to pull the suitcase out from under and sure enough, no name tag and i can't remember if there was a lock on it or not. so i met the guy who called and he was so relieved. it was his wife's and ALL her meds were in it!!

so remember, put your name/number (cell unless you call home to get messages) on outside of luggage and lock it and dont pack all your meds!!

b/f two stories and mine are amusing cause they had happy endings. I will never let b/f forget he he he!! but a not such happy ending is not good!

First - I know I am more careful then anyone has to be but - I have gotten my bags back with the luggage tags gone so I have two on each now, and a odd colored ribbon. Additionally, in each bag, on top of my clothes I place our schedule.. On the top is our name and a number where we can be reached, our TA name and number, our flight(s) info, hotel, ship, everything except our ss and passport numbers (those I photo, along with any other cards I bring and keep in my purse). The hope is if my bags are lost or misdirected they will be opened , since you can't lock them, and know where to send them or how to call me. val

Val, i lock mine useing a TSA approved lock and in several places on the inside i put my name and cell and if staying in hotel, that. usually anyway! and the two name tags now and depending on how different a suitcase is, i might put something else on. just hoping the b/f starts being smarter! i've never had truly bad experience thank goodness! Went to a Disney garage sale today. They had worked at WDW for 6 years. Got a few Chip and Dale golf balls, a complete set of Disney golf courses ball markers for 1.75, a set of Three Little Pigs beanies for $12 and a model of the ship for only $7!! Saved me spending $30 on board. They had lots of Disney shirts, assorted beanies, golf balls, one of those stuffed ships with Mickey,Minnie Donald and Goofy for only 12 (almost got that too). and lots of snowglobes. Such a treat. Like a Discount Disney store in Lake Havasu!!

Oh, also printed my postcards, bought 30 at Walmart .27 cents each. Figured out what to say and ran them through the printer. No writer's cramp for me. Hope that isnt cheating. Did sign our names and put rm number

Well I saw Megamind last night. It was good, but not as good as I thought it would be. It was still enjoyable. Also saw Due Date. That was funny. Well two months from today us folks on first seating will be enjoying our first dinner.

We did something similar, so if it is cheating you will not be alone.

I bet you did!!!!!!!!!! We had a marine at our table last cruise, he was amazing also, the stories he told, I could have listned to him all day and night.I thought I might pee might pants when I found out I had a fighter jet pilot sitting beside me! what a lovely couple they were.

Glad you had a good day.

I took care of some fighter pilots when I was active duty. There are a crazy bunch!

Glad you two were able to get-away for a short time! Retired Generals are an interesting group and OH the stories they can tell!!

Tahara

No kidding! This guy was in the Army Corp of Engineers....

That must have been quite interesting! If you don't mind telling, where did you go? DH and I are always looking for new places to try. Thanks!

It looks like after today the Gators will be 6-3. Not great, but good for what we are working with this year.

We go often to the Toasted Pheasant. It's on North Dale Mabry in Carrollwood. It's in the top 10 places to eat in Tampa Bay. Peter (the chef and owner) is grand. He takes ordinary food and makes it extraordinary. Try it for a wine dinner or just a regular dinner.

It took 2 days to catch-up on all the posts for the last week but it is done.

Talked with Clayton on the Wonder last week and he will be assistant CD on the PC crossing, and Christian will be the CD. Clayton will only be the CD when Christian is on vacation.

Phil.

Thanks for the great news.

I don't think it is my computer, because the PM system is the only place I am having a problem. I can only read one message at a time and then have to log off and back on to open the next message. I can't post a reply. So,
Dophingirl47, thanks for the help with instructions on how to post a table on the thread. I think my problem is the spreadsheet is to large to copy as an image, it is to small to read when I convert it to a JPEG. Thanks for your help though.

Mom4mad, I've added 2 to the count for the mixology tasting. Dolphingirl47, I've corrected my spreadsheet to read only 1 for your cabin.

Thanks
Val

Since I've been off the computer for 3 weeks or more due to vacation & coming back to long hours at work - What is the Mixology Tasting??
I will go back as far as I can tonight reading the thread, but still trying to catch up on my sleep too.:surfweb::confused3
Thanks,
Joyce

Mixology=How-to on making mixed drinks:cool1: We learn how to make them and then we taste them:thumbsup2 Make sure to check out the Champagne Girls information on page one as well.

BTW: TINKERBELL FANS...
Tinkerbell Tiaras on sale at Disneystore.com for $6 (although I don't know if that is legal as they are Green, not pink).
Which reminds me, I know the boas do, but do the tiaras have to be pink as well??

Thanks Phil:cool1::cool1:
I love christian and have never cruised with clayton

I am sorry for being MIA and probably missing this information earlier.

Is there a final fish extender list? Has the fish extender closed? I was looking in the first post but maybe I missed it. :confused3

Thank you for any information!!! :flower3::flower3::flower3:

CHECK THIS OUT! (I hope they are right!)
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2586617

According to this the Dream will be staying in port from 1/4-1/7. So, we should get to see it in PC and AFTER (hopefully) CC for a great photo op!

:banana::cool1::cheer2::dance3::woohoo::yay:

Can you tell I'm excited about this. :lmao:

That would be wonderful. One more reason to get a better camera. I have a little compact Samsung that I love, but I have come across its limitations this time round. I really want a Panasonic Lumix FZ38 or FZ45. I might just go for it in time for our cruise.

Do you know a cost yet?

On the Transatlantic, we paid $15 and this included tastings of 5 different drinks. If this includes a full sized drink, then we are probably looking at $20, but it will be well worth it.

Thanks for the update. We have never met Christian, but we had Clayton once as Cruise Director and once as Assistant Cruise Director and we loved him.

Stephanie (presuming its you and not your 9 yo DD!!), go the front page where the list of home, who's going, where we're staying and so forth. go to events, it's listed there. right now there are 84 cabins (last i'd looked there were 82!) listed. It was decided that this is a fun not onerous or expensive activity and you can sign up till the day before we get on the boat (so people can see your room #). But you can cut off whenever. Give to as few or many as you want. It does get expensive. Someone once said at $5 a room, they can't afford it. Someone else said they thought that was a LOT to spend. So do all 84 (and more if people keep adding) or do less, whatever you please. Im sure everyone will correct me if i am misspeaking!!
