HELLLLLP!! Can someone give me the coupon code for the Vistaprint discount? I need to get moving on them and I don't want to go through all of the posts trying to find it :scared1:
Thanks SO much!!

Sure thing, I just PM'd you!

So sorry for the disappointment! I know EXACTLY how you feel, in fact I was going to post this sooner or later so I might as well share now so no one else makes this mistake. I had wanted to order my own custom bracelets so I could choose my wording (like my tshirt, I wanted to incorporate more than just the cruise part of the trip on it). Someone suggested sayitbands.com from a previous cruise trip they used that site for. Please DO NOT use that site! I ordered from them on 10/24. I ordered the lime green color of course and was able to choose my wording and they even had the Mickey head that you could include as well. It came to about $10 including shipping for 2 bracelets. I was so excited when they arrived only 2 days later! But like Des' experience with the candies, my excitement quickly turned to sheer disappointment- first off, the bracelets had typos on them, they said 2010 not 2011! I immediately reviewed both my email confirmation and also the enclosed receipt in the package, and both showed 2011 correctly, so the 2010 typo was totally on them. But even worse, the quality of the bracelets was HORRIBLE. It was the cheapest, thinnest silicone bracelet I'd ever held, and the supposedly 'debossed' imprint lettering was barely debossed at all--it was so faint, I had to hold the bracelet only a few inches from my eyes to even read it! The bracelet was so shoddy. I immediately went to the website to find a phone number to call and complain, but there was none listed- only email. That should have been a red flag for me to not order to begin with, I hate sites that dont allow you to call for anything. So, I had to resort to emailing them. They responded the next day and apologized for the typo, said they could re-do, but then he said that the lime green color from what they've heard from other customers, is the worst color for the lettering to show up on. I thought that was BS since I have seen other lime green bracelets that I could read from several feet away, and couldnt read this piece of junk from right up close. He asked if I would therefore consider another color. I replied and said I wont consider another color since I want the 'official' color of my travel group, so if he cant reprint better quality on the lime green, then I want a refund. This message was from last Wednesday, and I have not heard anything back since then. I followed up with another message over the weekend, still no reply. Obviously this company has no ethics, no customer service, and very poor workmanship, so please if you were thinking of using them, do not. Thank goodness I'm only out $10 and not more. Des, I hope you have better luck with your candy company order and hope they make things right for you since you ordered so much! In the meantime I'm hoping tinksmom will be able to add me to her bracelet order list so I can still get one since the 2 I have are worthless junk.

Try ebay seller woodworknick. He did the bracelets for our last 2 cruises and they were great. Good quality. The Lime is not fantastic for showing the lettering but the quality is good enough that it is not too bad. I think he has waltograph and I know he has the mickey head. Prices were good ? 1.25 - $1.50 per bracelet and they came very fast. No minimum order. Will personalize individual bracelets. Good Luck!

On our last cruise, we ended up at a table with some nice people. Unfortunately, they were visibly offended when we ate shellfish, and did not approve AT ALL of drinking alcohol. It made the meals very uncomfortable. We would love to pair up on our late rotation with like-minded folks . . .

Anyone for lobster & wine??? :yay:

Marie

PULLEEEZE! I am not so sure they were that nice!

Thanks, Its not that bad really, its just combined with nightshift it makes it worse.

I think we are all sorted, which is a shame, I would have a table for 30 if I could !! But just so everybody knows I do drink wine! not with breakfast right enough, but lunch sometimes dinner usually, actually, breakfast mm, I have had a glass with breakfast after night shift right enough.
I am a vegi and dont care what folks eat as long as they dont make me eat it, everybody to there own!

Indeed!!!!!

It's on the first page in the T-shirt area.

I rented a scooter for my husband from Deckert Medical . They will deliver it to Paradise Pier at DL. It is a three wheel heavy duty one. We rented from them before and we had no problem. Hopefully we won't have any problems this time.

I used Deckert the last time we went there but couldn't find them when I googled this time. That's likely who I'll be using this time, if I can find a number.

offended by shellfish???? If they are that kosher or whatever that makes shellfish an issue why didnt they go to a buffet that night or something? i refuse to eat pork (i didnt know when i was a kid that shellfish wasn't kosher) but as long as no one forces me to eat it, what should i care? and you weren't getting into a car and driving after drinking, right? jeesh!!
i just ususally refuse to pay the exhorbitant fees for alcohol and keep a bottle of wine at home. if the meet and greet has left overs, are we taking ours back to our rooms? i dont drink much and that may be enough, though i've had a few on each of the cruises, so i might still. but again, i dont care if you get rip roaring drunk as long as i can eat and you dont get in a car and you're not disruptive in a show!! man!

Welcome back, Tahara :) And here's cheers to being able to concentrate on the fun things now ! :wizard:

Melissa - thanks for the idea of the Grove. I still need to contact Qantas to find out what we can do about our luggage, or perhaps if we should hire a car for the day :scared1: Oh, and I have a DS too - he turns 10 while we're at Disneyland :)

Corinnaa - I LOVE your dark blue dress. I think I'm going to have to go on a dress hunt myself (although I do have my standard long black skirt with matching top, which is interchangeable with a couple of other tops - all formal. Decisions, decisions). That's a bugger about the job and the late notification ! My parents loved Dubai - they said everyone must add it to their "must-see" lists.

Lynne - sorry to hear you're sick as well. As for the horse race - it was a bit of a non-event for me. I think I actually prefer to be at work on Cup day, as there's a better atmosphere. Didn't help that I was wallwoing in a cold-induced misery ;)

Still crook, but DS's performance of Hamlet is on in an hour, so I need to suck it up and get on with it ! ;)

Back later.

Cheers,
Sally :)

Have fun at Hamlet!

I started pulling out the bags and the candies are chipped! The red looks like a brownish red color and the printing is missing or smeared on most of them! I am so disappointed! I have written an email to the company and will need to see what they say - I want my money back and find something else to give.

I can say, my kids don't care what candy looks like ... it's all about the sugar .. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

That is crazy! If I had dinner tablemates like that I would have to ask to be reseated after the first night. I am of the mindset like others have already said, that to each his own and who cares what other people/eat drink as long as it isnt imposing on you! Well anyway I love shellfish and alcohol so we would get along well! We already have a request in for specific servers, we are late dining. I was interested in linking up with fellow DISers with similar likes but I'm not sure if this would complicate our chances of getting our primary request for servers. I'll check with my TA and see what she says, if it wont hurt our first request I'd love to link up with other late diners on here!

Thanks for the advice! I'll give it a shot. I'm still waiting to hear back from tinksmom, I think she said she has room for a few additional orders so I'm hoping I can get in that group, and if not I'll definitely check this suggestion out.

The lanyards are here! the lanyards are here! I am sooooo excited that they came out so nice!

Here are a couple of pictures...and I am excited to say that not only did they sent the original count plus the 20 extra I ordered- they included 1 more so everyone who ordered gets thier lanyards. Unfortunately, they didn't send 10% more just the 1 extra one :rotfl2: But atleast those who ordered late and on "stand by" gets thiers too!

Hmmm..pics seem a little blurry! But you get the idea..

Ok...so..if you would like to pay in advance - I can accept payment via Paypal. If you want them shipped - I can do that too...please send me an email (not a PM please) - you can find the email option when you click on my user name.

I will send you an invoice from Paypal so you can send me the money. If you want them shipped - include your address so I can include shipping in the cost on the invoice. You can also pay in advance and just pick them up at the port (I know someof you like to get the costs out of the way)

Please remember, you have to use your checking or savings account with Paupal - if you use a debit or credit card - there are fees - you would need to accept the fees as I don't really want to pay them :)

Any questions, please let me know!

Cay 5k, he runs, but I walk (might take me about an hour) 2 questions 1) anyone else walking? 2) anyone making a shirt? If so would you mind sharing your design :goodvibes

I was going to ask if there was a set route but I think I may have gotten an answer later.

I'm think the East meets West was the menu on the day of the Panama Canal crossing. They gave us those menu's, but I have just thrown them out. :rolleyes1 I'm thinking a mix of dishes from Caribbean to Mexican.

You don't find out your dining rotations until you get to your room these days. It used to be noted in initials on your key card, but not this last time anyway. Dining times have been 6pm and 8.30pm recently too.

Marilyn, I still have the East Meets West menu. I took it out to scan it but don't have a scanner as my printer went kaput 2 1/2 months ago. For whomever I owe the menu image too, from the CA Dis Meet - there was no dessert menu. It was an all in one menu as that was our souvenir. It is longer than a legal size paper which is making it harder to scan. I may have to find a special place to scan that too.

As for the dining rotation being on the card, they normally are. It was discovered on that last Med cruise before the TA that there was a huge error affecting all the DIS people that had linked up and also that had NOT linked up. So they took it off and re-arranged it. Due to time constraints, they left it off. But one of our tablemates demagnitized her key and when she got a replacement, it had the dining rotation on it. So normally, it is still on it but there was a slight mishap and it got pulled.

This sounds very tempting. I hope we get the same kind of things on our cruise. I might have to get something in one of the ports if we do an Mexican night.

I did not like it at all that the dinner rotation is no longer on the Key To The World Card. On the med cruise, it was on there. I hope this was just an oversight.

Corinna? See my note above. I'm hoping they will be on this one.

I must really be losing my mind...I can't find it on the front page! I checked there before I posted and I just re-checked and the only one I can find is the 10% off for zazzle. Could you tell my where I should be looking because I am clearly missing it?!

do you belong to ebates? It doesn't cost anything to join and you get a % back if you originate your shopping from the ebates.com site. It has a lot of coupons for vistaprint. You can go to the site and look at the discounts offered and then decide if you want to sign-up. As I said, it is free to join, you don't have to give them any real personal info, like credit card number, and they have a lot of coupon and special offers for many stores.

Sorry, You said T-shirt and I wasn't thinking about which company.

Tammy-Are you still thinking of doing the scrapbook exchange? I remember you mentioning two options and I don't think I ever replied. To be honest, both ideas sound great (cut in advance and make on ship or cut and do layout to give on ship). I guess if we want to sit and talk we could all bring double stick tape and do the option where we just cut the pieces, but again, I like both ideas. On our last cruise (Oct. 2009) there was an opportunity to scrapbook. And, while there wasn't much actual scrapbooking going on, we did receive two very cool pages...the first and last page of the scrapbook. I was thrilled as they were pages I could never buy at the store:woohoo:

Have a great day All!

~Melissa

Melissa- yes I'd still love to do a scrapbook exchange of some sort. I just don't know what type of thing most people would be interested in, a quick exchange or more of a "work" session (or talk session :goodvibes). If anyone has thoughts, PM me and I'll try to work out a plan over the next few days so anyone interested can get started.

For the 50% off for vistaprint tshirts I used couponcabin.com. I googled vista print coupon and the coupon cabin link is one of the first hits that come up. That then takes you to the vista print site but with the coupon cabin perk built into it- basically it integrates right into the site and slashes all the prices to 50% off. Best of all once you log in that way the coupon stays on there! I have logged in since ordering tshirts and i still have the coupon cabin heading across the top and all prices are 50% off. hope this helps!

Des- lanyards look great!! I think we are fine with just picking ours up at the port if you are still willing to do a distribution there? If you want them off your back before leaving home I can totally understand, since thats a lot to carry with you- just let me know. If you still plan on bringing them there, can you tell me how much I owe? I ordered 2 but I forget how much they were ; )

We are looking forward to meeting those of you who can make it to Mountain View. I will have green balloons tied to our tables at the front of the park. I'm sending my DH over early enough to stake out a couple of tables for us. We'll be by the children's area and the main parking lot. We should be visible from the street. However, if those tables are already taken, look for us at the back of that parking lot, where the large hedge is. We'll be at the picnic tables inside that area.

Let's hope for nice dry weather like they had for today's Giants Victory Parade in San Francisco.

See you on the 14th.
Shirley

In Cabo there's a Starbucks on the main street with free internet. They have an upstairs with both indoor and outdoor seating. I spent a lot of time there a year ago when we did the Baja HaHa. The reception was really good.is!
