My Dads side of the family are all from the Steubenville area!! Now I have to visit both you and Lynn when I get deeper into the geneaology from that side!!:cool1:
That sounds like a deal to me!
Beautiful Homecoming couple!

Thank you!

And I think its safe to say just about all of us will be overpacked!! But thats part of the fun. Right!?

It is not so much the packing as when we have to pack it up the last day at sea! I hate that the most:scared1:

Melissa - the puppy is doing well, she already sleeps all night quietly in her kennel and both dogs are getting along just fine now.

I am so happy to hear that all is well with the dogs. I knew it was just a matter of time!:)

My Dad travels quite often so it's always great to get a quick note from him letting us know he's fine.:goodvibes

I wear clogs with short socks...easy on/off and no bare feet on the airport floor.:scared1:

Iwould be interested in a scrapbooking swap if anyone else is. I could help organize unless someone else wants to.

Also, thought I'd share. On our last cruise we did a "Sunrise Club" and met up on deck 9 I can't remember if it was at 6am or 6:30. Coffee, tea, coke, and lots of laughing..maybe some people would be interested?

Are we having a pajama breakfast? I liked that idea:cloud9:

What about beer or tequilla tasting...with Hawaiian shirts and pink boas?! (Just kidding about the boas...sort of)

I can tell you for a fact Ryan would be all in favor of a beer tasting!

I think Mixology would be a lot of fun.

Central FL meet- We will be at WDW on the 10 and will leave sometime on the 11. If you meet at a resort or DTD let me know.

Think of me while you are there on the 10th. We were always there for a week at that time. December 10th is our wedding anniversary and Garry would always try to "surprise" me with a trip to WDW or a cruise at that time of year! So many wonderful memories:hug:

We had trick or treat Saturday and Jasmine did not get to dress up because my youngest grandson had a playoff football game at the same time. They won and now in the championship for his league and play next Sunday! One season over and one continues; hopefully until the first week of December and then I will go to South Carolina.:cheer2:

Loved the Halloween pictures!

We only had about 20 trick or treaters at our house--it was very quiet.

I am going to help my Mom get all her on line cruise docs filled out today.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi Carmie! I am a transplanted bay area girl, so I have my Giants jersey. HOWEVER, I like to cheer for the underdogs. I have been cheering for the Texas Rangers for you!! They made some terrible mistakes in game 2 but game 3 was good! I will be cheering with you tonight. Go Rangers!!!!!

Hey Tami. The Giants were the underdogs for the Series so feel free to root for them!

The first half of my scholary paper/ thesis for my master's degree.

The semester isn't even close to done yet, but this was the black cloud over it!

Yea for your paper being done, and what a nice treat to get done in time to take your little guy out!:cool1:

No one ever comes T or T in our neighborhood so we neither buy nor turn on the light. Wouldn't you know, last night at quarter to 6 a bunch rang our doorbell. And rang it and rang it, although you can see through the whole first floor from the door and it was OBVIOUSly empty. Eventually, they went away, and that was it for the rest of the night - none. nada. zip.

How many adults are planning to "dress" for pirate night?

We had 35 "kids" come by last night. I started with 40 bags and only have 5 left so I'm pleased I had enough yet not have too much left over. We were gone for about an hour so we may have ran out if we were home the entire evening.

As far as dressing up, I'm not (just wearing matching T with DD) but DH would love too. He would love to be Captain Jack but I just don't know if we will have room for the costume. We'll see. If I can find a good deal on one we may just have to find the room :goodvibes

Thanks for the cute Halloween photos- I only had 2 trick or treaters (a niece and nephew) so enjoy seeing all the cuties we will be able to enjoy on the cruise.

I might be intrested in being a champaign girl- I'll check with DH to see if he cares. (He's in Taiwan right now but has been gone for 3 weeks with 2 more to go.)

I'm getting excited and am glad people are getting all the projects/papers done and out of the way and those who were unwell are on the mend.

I will be doing the CC5K also just to help keep in shape for the Princess in Feb.

Have a great day Cruisers!

Mike and I are both dressing up for Pirate Night. I hate Halloween tremendously for various reasons but I LOVE to dress up for theme nights on the cruise, especially pirate night. This will be my 3rd time wearing my pirate costume that I bought the day after Halloween in 2008 for 50% off, so I'm glad I've gotten such good use out of it!

Please explain the terminology with the rattles and buttons!!;) Do you take rattles out of rattlesnakes when you kill them?;) Scary.

:scared1::scared1: Remind me to never visit YOUR neck of the woods!!!

On rattlesnakes the button is the last rattle. Typically the more rattles, the larger the snake so the one with 12 rattles was just over 4 feet long.

Our neighbor is close to a creek so they tend to stay down in that area and don't come up to our place very often. We've only had 3 in thirty years at our place. Thank goodness! The foothills around us have quite a few.

The whole lot of us dresses up. Jack will wear his Captain Hook costume, Jeff and I have our costumes we made for the '05 cruise. Mom and my brother made costumes for our cruise in '09 and they'll bring those. We love having unique costumes no one else could possibly have. And unline in '09 I'll fit well into my costume this time.....:laughing::laughing:

If anyone is staying in Port Canaveral the Residence was fantastic. It was much better than the Radison. But when we stayed at the Radison both the Carnival Dream and magic were in port so that may have been the problem. Everyone was so nice. I would stay there in a heartbeat again. The Residence inn has a nice hot tub and a tiki bar at night too.

You could always ship a box down but that still means you need space in your luggage for the return - or someone to ship it for you. DH doesn't have a costume but I do. Guess I should poke around and see if I could pick something up for him today.

I finally cancelled our two bedroom unit at the VGC today and waitlisted for a studio or 1 bedroom since it's just the 2 of us now. Hopefully it will come through. I've made a cash reservation for Paradise Pier just in case.

DVC members may want to check and see if their waitlist came through if they were waitlisted for 1/21 & 1/22 at VGC.

We usually dress up. Nothing fancy, but pirates were not fancy!

Do come and join the 'pretty in pink' champagne girls. It should be a lot of fun.

Wow, 5 weeks in Taiwan - that is a long trip.

We plan to be there. We will bring candy (I would guess no chocolate candy - because of the heat out there, but let me know if chocolate is OK). What other things would be good. Perhaps I can persuade my kids to do something at school for this as part of their service learning project).

I was told anything pre-wrapped is ok. They can't accept homemade from people they don't know (isn't it sad that that is necessary). They love chocolate, even if it is melted. When I asked them what they need or like they answered back in the thank you note that they can always use socks. I was also told pre-paid phone cards. I've sent pudding cups, fruit cups and current car and sports magazines.
I got the name of this squad from another disboard member, I think it is her nephew's company. The USPS gives a slight discount when I mail to a FPO address. I list "chaplain" as a second delivery name should the lst not be there. If anyone wants the name and address to send their own package pm me.

This is a great idea. Last year, I donated our candy to a dentist that was participating in the candy buy back program. They will give the kids $1/pound and send it to the troops. We didn't accept the $1/pound but I guess that could serve as a good incentive for some kids. Anyway, there are dentist all over participating so for anyone interested, you can check out http://www.halloweencandybuyback.com/ Not trying to persuade people from sending their own packages, just offering another idea :goodvibes

Morning All - quick skim through of msgs, as I'm mega busy - a day off, and a heap of stuff to do.

If anyone is interested in trying to get the same dining rotation / seated near each other, could you please PM me. Oh, but please note - we are doing MAIN DINING. Thanks.

Lynne - was it you who mentioned someone did that on the TA cruise ? Could I ask a favour ? Would you mind contacting them and asking who they contacted to arrange it ? Thanks so much :)

Also realised that I've booked Palo for the same night as Pirate night !!! :headache: :headache: :headache: I guess we can take the kids to early dining, then meander up for our 9pm ressie at Palo.

Ack ! I just realised this morning that I haven't finished doing my tax, and it's due the 31st.

Did I mention that I can't wait for the end of school this term ? Only 5 weeks to go - I'm hoping I can hang on to every commitment we have between now and then.

A big ol' :cheer2: hello to everyone else. I hope to post some more tonight / over the weekend.

Only 8 weeks until our holiday / vacation starts !

Cheers,
Sally :)
Sally ,they e-mailed there agent in dreams u.

We sure did get 5 inches of snow and it sure didn't help that it rained half an inch the day before....ug

I am starting to try to catch up. I have been frighteningly ill :sick:for 8 blasted weeks. It included a hemiplegic migraine (presents like a stroke!?!?!?) on Sep 19th (I rarely even get standard headaches so this was quite alarming). I was such a mess I had to ask my parents to come and look after me (I am 42). Dr's are calling the whole nasty business viral and happily I am feeling better.

I WAS TERRIFIED I WOULD HAVE TO CANCEL THIS CRUISE!!!!!

Happily I did not and when the fog started to lift my parents said...

CAN WE COME TOO?

So my Mom and Dad are coming along. I am so pleased for them. They are going to have a marvelous time.

I did manage to get to WDW for the wine and dine half but did not run. The doctors wouldn't even let me go on rides in case I had a brain tumor (MRI says no tumor - yippee!).

I shall spend the next few days doing some catching up and signing up. I was stunned to see 10 weeks!!!!!!

Happy Halloween to those who celebrate it! I celerate anything I can get my hands on!

Les
Poor you. glad you are better, and great about your parents.
Hello!!!

I caught up on the posts tonight....started on page 27! Got behind while we were at DVC, HHI last week. Both sons joined us for parts of the trip. They go to different colleges and had overlapping fall breaks. Very happy that they still want to travel with us! Ofcourse they really just see a free trip! :rotfl:

Sherri, Sak0526, many pages ago, you posted about RFID covers for passports. Where do you get the covers?

And there was a discussion about English that isn't English.....
What does "My lentils are minging." mean????

Sorry for repeating if these questions were answered and I just missed it while scanning the posts.

I've been excited about all of our cruises with Mickey but this one is going to be amazing!! I've never experienced such an organized, fun, planning, GROUP!!! There will be many "something for everyone" activities.

Can't wait to cruise with all of you.

Barb
Minging means, disgusting.

We are.

Sorry, Ive been mia.

We had a Halloween party at the weekend, 60 folks !! It was hard work, we live in a tiny hamlet,we have a community hall we all use, it was great fun but HARD work.

So......its all hottin gup now.

RE the 5k.

LAst time I took naes and we all araanged to meet, we docked early and I hung about to meet everybody, no one turned up out of about 20:lmao:
All week I kept getting messages from dissers saying they werent doing it, I kept getting mixed up,as they would say there real names,so I didnt know who was coming and who was not, so as much as it would be fun doing it as a group its not worth the hassle, I will justy hope disney orginise it, and another fyi, NOBODY had a clue where the 5k route went, the way they sent us was more like a 9 k route!!
