Corinna, you are far too young to be a geezer!!! Geezers are 60+, geezers in training(GIT's) are younger, 50ish to 60, but some younger ones are needed to help the geezers get back to their cabins as they have a habit of being forgetful!!!:lmao: I am told they had official ceremonies for those who actually turned 60 on the TA cruise!!!:rotfl2:

I suppose it all depends on how old you feel. At the moment I definitely feel 60 and this will only get worse as the cruise gets closer as I will have a lot of stress between now and then.

Graham qualifies for Geezer's in Training with 52 and I can act as his proxy.

Corinna, FOUR gowns? I'm debating two!! oh dear! i do tend to underdress but look nice. I just have no where else to wear gowns so i dont have many!

I had a gown each for the two formal nights. You have already seen the blue one that I wore for the first formal night. I had a pink one for the second formal night. Then there was the purple and black gown for Villain's Night that was in the second photo and another purple gown that I was going to wear from semi-formal night, but one of the straps snapped when I was putting it on.

This time round, I will bring the same two gowns for formal night plus the new one for semi-formal night. I just love dressing up. We have a formal Christmas Ball at work every year and one of the gowns will be worn for that. Add to that that we are doing two cruises per year and I feel I can justify having multiple gowns.

Corinna - I have 3 girls who would love to be a part of the kids jewelry workshoop! Ages 10, 11 and 13.

Could I ask you to send me a PM? Would your 13 year old prefer being with her sisters or do you think she would be happier joining one of the adult workshops? When you PM me, can you please let me have the names of your girls and also the favourite colour of each. There is some other stuff I need to know, too, but we can sort this out via PM.

Corinna

Thank you for the invitation to a meet on Nov 14th. Larry and I will be in Las Vegas from the 8th through the 16th.

We just got back from EPCOT Wine & Food Festival. We ate our way around the world and now need to hit the gym to work off the wonderful food that we enjoyed.

I'm still working on my post count so that I can send PMs.

Thanks for thinking of us. We are really looking forward to the cruise.

Barbara

Too FUN! I'm planning on going there AFTER the cruise  Have a GREAT time!

It's hard to believe that so few of us are from the New England area :confused3

Are you guys related?

LOL yup, he's my DH. It was funny, he's not usually on as much as I am but here we posted several in a row!

Izma---glad you are feeling better!!!

I would love to do the jewelry and the photo scavenger hunt!

The scrapbooking sounds fun, but daunting since I'm not that creative and I would hate to make bad pages (plus I'm not sure I'll have the time to make several pages before we go I work in retail and this is the busiest time for us ;)) Is there a way to contribute financially instead?

I am in awe :worship: of all of the wonderful things that you all are planning!! This is going to be a wonderful cruise!!!

My DH and I are planning on doing the Castaway Cay 5k, he runs, but I walk (might take me about an hour) 2 questions 1) anyone else walking? 2) anyone making a shirt? If so would you mind sharing your design :goodvibes

Can't wait!!!
Izma, I too am glad you are better. The scavenger hunts sound like fun if we can do them. I'm trying to decide for the Castaway Cay 5k if I'll try for a slow jog or just a fast walk, but I'm pretty sure you'd have company! As for the scrapbooking, I've never organized anything like this. I can think of two ways right now: 1. make completed pages where all you do is add pictures and some captions. 2. bring supplies for each person to make their own page how they want them and you bring a completed page for an example (maybe a printed picture for people to reference if they want to complete it later?) If you're interested and really just feel too overwhelmed to make pages, PM me and we'll see what we can figure out.:goodvibes

IS there such a thing as bad pages? But you're right - time is short and we're coming into the busy season of the year for most everyone.

I agree, no such thing as bad pages.

Too bad you can't make our "NorthEast Meet". I was planning on mentioning it to you also, as we are almost neighbors...we're next door in Norton. Looking forward to meeting you on the cruise.

]I'm also surprised that there are not more from our area of the country. Usually people are looking for a way to get away from that 4-letter word...snow! I'm just hoping for nice weather for our get-away day...Jan.5th so we'll get to WDW early enough to go into one of the Parks...haven't decided which one yet.
We're off to go Trick or Treating with our Tennesee Grandkids. We're here in Gallatin , TN. for a week celebrating my Birthday and my Grandson, Pete, who turned 7 today.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. We are going tonight to take our kiddos and the nephews trick or treating. Then home to watch the Ranger game.

Hi Carmie! I am a transplanted bay area girl, so I have my Giants jersey. HOWEVER, I like to cheer for the underdogs. I have been cheering for the Texas Rangers for you!! They made some terrible mistakes in game 2 but game 3 was good! I will be cheering with you tonight. Go Rangers!!!!!

I finished my paper!!!! I stayed up until 5am Friday night/ Saturday morning, 1am last night and finally got the majority of it completed today. It wasn't a long paper, but if anyone has ever written a review of literature paper before, it is time consuming and a royal pain.
Thankfully I was done in time to take this trick or treating:
IMG_3974.JPG

He's now outside having more fun handing out candy to the children (his words, not mine).

Can I just say how relieved I am to have this paper written?!?!?!

Oh and yes, that is Jack's costume for pirate night as well!

Congrats on finishing your paper. Job well done! Feels so good once a project is all wrapped up.

And what can I say about Jack?? TOOO cute, but you probably should not tell him I said that. ARG!

Well, we are back in Michigan safe and sound. I even have my suitcase unpacked and a load of laundry in. But, the tote is still sitting on my bed awaiting my attention. We had a great time and I even got some SM & Christmas shopping done.

Go Rangers!

Happy Halloween! We have about another hour before it starts here on the west coast.

Jen - Congrats on finishing your paper! Jack is so adorable as a pirate!

My neighbor just stopped in the see the rattles from the rattlesnakes my son ran across today, 4 total, the largest was 12 rattles and a button. Normally we only see a couple a year, but this year it's been almost a dozen. Luckily they've all been at our neighbor's farm where our son works.:scared1:

Man, I wish everyone could see what my street is like on Halloween!! I spent nearly $70 on candy and had at least 700 pieces...the crowd started to arrive around 6pm and by 7:30 I was completely out (giving only ONE piece of candy per child--and I use that term loosely)! It is now 7:50 and I have turned away at least 200 people! I ended up printing a sign for my door because I got so tired of telling people that I ran out. Every year I think I'm ready and then...BAM!! They arrive in truckloads (No, seriously...there is a TRAFFIC JAM)!!
You think I'm exaggerating but I have never seen anything like it in my life. One year my dad was staying at my house while I was away at a conference so I tried to warn him about what he was going to see. He truly thought I was crazy. He kept saying that there was NO WAY he would go through all of the candy I had purchased, then at about 8:00 I called to check in and he was hiding in the dark because he ran out at about 7:00! His eyes get HUGE every time he speaks of it:rotfl2:
My goal is to someday make it to 9:00 and still have candy...clearly that will not happen this year!

Just watched Buster Posey hit a homer--WaHoo!!!

I hope the rest of you had a wonderful Halloween!

~Melissa

Jen, Jack looks adorable!

Here's my clan tonight.
DD Haley as a doctor, DS Cameron as Stitch, nephew Gage as Spiderman, nephew Noah as Sebastian, and DH Jarrod with his Captain Jack hat, jersey, and even eye make-up:
IMG_0328-2.jpg

And last but not least is Cinder Ellie as a slightly overdone hotdog. She didn't go out with us though:
IMG_0324-2.jpg

Cameron had planned to be a pirate this year but at the last minute, decided he wanted to be Stitch. We had a Stitch costume I bought last year because I wanted the kids to be Lilo and Stitch but I never could find a Lilo costume. At least I can put the pirate costume to good use on the cruise!

I've got my nephews until Wednesday. My sis was originally just planning on leaving her oldest for the week then I was going to take him home next weekend. Then, she said she needed me to watch her youngest for the next 1.5 weeks because her babysitter won't have the room for him until then. I was going to drive to her house this morning but realized that DD has a Girl Scout commitment on Tuesday so I offered for her to leave both of the boys here until Wednesday when I would drive them and my two kids NW of Dallas. So, that is what we are doing. I know people do it all the time but I'm not looking forward to driving 6+ hours with an 11 YO, 2 4 YOs, and a 4 month old. At least DD will be a big help with the 4 YOs. I've done it lots of time with just my two but I'm not used to having 4 in tow. Oh well, I will survive!!!

Anyway, hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!!!!

That costume looks very familiar. Our Captain Hook is keeping an eye on things with his telescope and has managed to capture himself Tinkerbell. We'll have to try to get the two boys pictures together on Pirate night.

Well done on getting the paper finished. Sorry about the late late nights though.

Jack is so cute. Plus of course he does have THE right name for a pirate!!!

Please explain the terminology with the rattles and buttons!!;) Do you take rattles out of rattlesnakes when you kill them?;) Scary.

Yeah, Linda, you are crazy for liking them! I liked the research part, but the paper part stunk.

Thanks everyone for the compliments on out little pirate and support/ congrats on my paper. The semester isn't even close to done yet, but this was the black cloud over it!
