DH saw the Wonder billboard about a mile from our house (it's got the Up Balloons lifting it) -- we both got giddy!

Had to call WDW about our reservation the night before... to change the address!

That's right, we closed escrow yesterday and we are getting the keys on Monday!

Thanks for all the pixie dust! Now on to painting, carpet and furniture.

Hi, we are Judy and Michael from Alameda, CA and are soooo excited about this cruise. We are in a Cat 9 Gty. Right now we are scheduled for Late Dining but are wait listed for Main. DH doesn't like to eat late.

I just returned from the WBTA with three girlfriends and had a blast. All my cruise items are in a box in storage just waiting for the next one.

If it's not too late we would like to participate in the FE, and I would like to participate with the Champagne Girls and Room Tour and anything else???
I have PM'd reference lanyards, bracelets and nametags. Anything else you can think of that is still available? hahaha that is probably enough for me.

DH and I will be looking over the port adv and making decision soon. He hasn't had a chance to look at any of this since he said ok we good go.

Thanks for all the help and advise. I look forward to seeing some of you again and meeting others.

Hi All,

Well this week has been topped off as one of the worst weeks of my life. On top of the passing of my Godmother, another serious incident has occurred, which has broken my spirit. I can't go into details, but suffice to say, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Thankfully, DH has rallied around me, and it's times like these I'm so thankful to have my four gorgeous children.

I'm going to have to try hard to focus on the positives for a while.

So, back to my cruise planning I come - I know with all you lovely fellow DCLers boosting me on, things will come good again eventually.

I'd love to tell the kids about our trip, as they'd be wonderful sharing their excitement, but I really need DD1 to get through her exams first, so three more weeks to go.

We *FINALLY* get to make our shore excursions this weekend, as well as the start of our DL dining bookings.

I've also booked our hotel for the night before we depart Sydney. I'll need to pack a little Christmas tree, as well as the kids' gifts, as Christmas morning will be spent overlooking the runways at Sydney airport.

I've also splurged, and bought myself a Qantas Club membership. A nice way to spend three hours before our flight takes off in both directions (DH is already a member with his Gold FF).

So, 9 weeks until we leave home, and SOOOO much to do ! For a start, I probably have about 20 pages of the board to catch up on ! LOL !

I will probably get to replies tonight, so be prepared for a long post from me in a few hours

I promise not to be a "downer" (it's not my nature to be miserable - everyone who knows me knows what a happy soul I am, generally)..... might imbibe something with an alcoholic content tonight to help

I'm so sorry you are facing a bad time. It can be hard to climb above those feelings I know. Glad your husband is there to help you. All the best.

Sounds like you have some exciting things ahead with telling the children etc. Hope your daughter's exams go well for her.

That means we leave home 10 weeks on Sunday. I only got home from the TA trip yesterday and haven't finished unpacking yet. Need to get the laundry done, and all those whites well washed and whitened quickly before the sun stops being warm(haha, it is soooo cold here at home) They just don't do so well with the washers in the villas in the US for some reason.

Oh, I'm a tad stressed all of a sudden.

I am SO not ready for the holidays - and part of that is because I don't know how many people I'm going to have. My Aussie friend is going through a divorce - but her sil is coming from Australia. I don't want them to be alone for the holiday, but on the other hand nobody seems to be in any shape to make a decision on buying air far, etc. If I can get them to come, it will probably be the last time I ever see my friend - she's going back with her sil.

I LOVE the eggs Benedict in Lumieres - They're much better than the ones in Palo - And Palo has entirely too many tempting sweets.

Hi again - I've read 15 pages so far, and want to say a HUGE thankyou to you all for your kind words, thoughts, and hugs. A special thankyou to Melissa for your ver kind offer. I'll let you know if I need any help.

It's certainly not a week I'd ever want to revisit.

The gist of the rest of the posts....

* a big "hi" to the new Judy
* a lot of animal lovers inboard - my kids would love a puppy - maybe next year (a beagle or poodle would be my preference). No cats - I'm allergic.
* Lots of excitement about 2012 cruises. We'll see how this one goes, then may rebook onboard - I'd still love a HI itinerary, as we'll have enough FF points at the end of this trip for 6 free flights to HI the following year.
* More discussion of shore excursions - I'll see how I go over the weekend first
* Meet-ups - Lynne - I'm hankering to get bac to the UK - hopefully before DD1 finishes high school in 4 years. Shushh - I'd love to do one, but I quite seriously doubt we have a spare weekend before we leave ! I'll check my calendar t/row (on itouch ATM). As for shipping - I'm seriously considering shipping FE gifts ahead of time.

I think that's the crux of it all, and hope I can keep up from herein.

Just realized, have to renew passports. Has anyone else done this recently? How long did it take to them back?

I have to renew DD as well (It expires 5.5 months AFTER we return, but unfortunately the PC cruise is one that requires the 6mo window...ugh!). Still waiting for ex to sign paperwork, but they said it takes 4-6 weeks so you still have time.

Sally, the message was heartfelt and sincere! Please let me know if there is anything you need!

I'm sitting at the Sac Convention Center waiting to start my presentation so I've gotta go! Wish me luck!

Just realized, have to renew passports. Has anyone else done this recently? How long did it take to them back?

Wasn't that bad.

Got the pictures taken at Walgreens near us and sent the paperwork in the mail either that night or the next day. I printed off all the forms online (VERY easy).

Just don't forget to send in money and your old passport. The new ones have all these security features (and a microchip).

POSTCARD EXCHANGE UPDATE
Cruisers buy postcards of their area/country/town/city etc. and deliver them to each person/cabin on the list. They don't need to be written, but I'm sure people would like to know who it was from. If people do want to write a little note on theirs about their country or town that would be great. Some people elect to make their own postcard using photos they have taken. Others print local recipes on a card. It is great fun to come back to your cabin and find mail.

So far we have 28 cabins signed up. If you would like to join us (or I have inadvertently left you off the list – sorry) pm me your cabin number, dis-name, and any special requests.
