Alan - just wondering if you have heard any news on whether SWA will take over the AirTran route to Wichita?? My Dad lives there and was wondering. Hope your trip home was easy and uneventful.
It was very easy. It is good to be home. As to the routes. My friend who is our Seattle Station Manager, told me that we are keeping all Air Tran cities. As for routes, no clue yet.

Hi,

How longs should I give to get to LAX on when we disembark
DH is thinking about 1.30 flight. Does that sound right?

Thanks

Also, very sad still no Palo brunch.:sad2:

Try not to worry. You will no doubt get a reservation if you go straight to the Wonder equivalent of Rockin Bar D as soon as you board.

Even if they have filled up by the time you get there, they will have a waiting list and I am sure you will get brunch. It is high tea that is the most difficult as they only use a small part of the restaurant for some reason, so not a many reservations in the first place. But even then you would probably get a high tea ressie.

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

10 weeks today!

The plummer has been at my house for two long weeks and needs to come back next week ... grrrr ... I need alone time to plan my cruise!

Oh, you poor dear! I CRINGE at the thought of the bill at the end:scared1:

Yay! So my sister and I have finished our FE presents (even ordered extras so have enough for 100 staterooms) and I found a store in the mall that had some really good postcards (for postcard exchange) and we got a discount so postcards were about 35 cents each.

If I wasn't waiting for my passport to come we could leave tomorrow:goodvibes

Good for YOU! I'm working on the part from my second cabin now. I've decided to put them together so we only need to go round once - and they go together - like love and marraige, horse and carraige . . .

On the last PC cruise we had a photo scavenger hunt on one of the sea days. I wish I'd kept a copy of the list because it was so well done. Each photo was worth a certain number of points, depending on how easy/difficult it would be to find. And to ensure the photo was actually taken during the game and not at some random time prior, someone from the team had to be in the photo with whatever it was you were looking for. DH and I had a great time. Even DS (then just 3 1/2) joined us toward the end and had lots of fun.

That sounds right up my alley! My girlfriend and I did the 100 question one in the Magic kingdom, once. We did it in one DAY finishing up with her in the tree house during a howling thunderstorm. Not only did we do it, but photographed ever single one. Oye.

When you find the list - maybe don't print it here if some of the same questions can be used again?

I have some ideas too, if you'd like to collaborate:woohoo:

That scavenger hunt sounds great. Would love to do it on a sea day. We love that kind of trivia stuff.

If anyone gets a chance to buy the Passporter Treasure Hunt Book get it. It is sold out and they are working on an updated one. You might find a leftover one in a store. Even though it is an old edition we take it to WDW everytime we go. We went once in Jan and it was a slow day there and we even had some of the cast members looking for things with us. There is even a section for the cruise ships. It is a great way to get you to stop and really look at different things. I will bring mine on the cruise if anyone would like to see it. I forgot to take it last time and was mad at myself. I was on the Magic for 25 days and I am sure I could of found a lot of the things.
It is one of the best books I have found for this type of stuff.

@HappyGoofy Ironically enough, Jeff and I wrote that book (the questions). I didn't realize they were writing another one. We had such a great time writing the questions for the first one.

It has been a BUSY day, but I had to pop in and say...
:cool1::woohoo::cheer2:party::cool1::woohoo:
Go Giants! Go Giants!
Go, Go, Go Giants!!!!
:cool1::woohoo::cheer2:party::cool1::woohoo:

Great game. My daughter called me yesterday at 3pm, her boss was stuck out of town. He gave her his tickets. 27 rows directly behind home plate!!! She said it was sooooo awesome. Her new hubby is a big baseball fan.

:worship: carmie3377, thanks for the "heads up" on this. We are going to DL in February and rebooked the flight at the $30 rate. Saved $196, which I promptly converted into another DL trip - this time from December 7th to 9th. We still have a $33 credit! Staying at Candy Cane Inn for a change - the AAA rate was $113. YAY!
Shirley
You're welcome! I've learned all kinds of great things on these boards so it's nice to be able to help out for once :goodvibes

I'm another person in North Texas (Arlington). Would love to meet but unfortunately am out of town those dates.

but will see you on the ship!

I graduated from UTA so I've been to Arlington a few times :goodvibes Sorry we won't be able to meet up. I live in the Houston area and will be visiting family so that is really the only time I can do it. But yes, see ya on the ship!

Have fun with your sister and nephews. I was just down in S.A. (without kids or husband) visiting my sisters and to celebrate older sister's and BIL's birthdays. It was so nice to be free of my family, even for one night, for the first time in almost 6 years.

The next couple of weekends are crazy busy for us, but depending on time, day and place for meet I might be able to make it. DH and DS have a practice Y Guides camping trip on that Saturday afternoon/night but DD and I are free. Sunday might be a little more tricky, but could maybe swing it.

I went back in my calender to see where we've had DIS meets in the past. I haven't been to any lately but we used to go quite often. I think we used to have DIS meets every 2-3 months. Anyway, here are some of the places we've had DIS meets in the past:
Buca di Beppo (on Hwy 114 in Southlake)
La Hacienda Ranch (on Hwy 121 in Colleyville)
Mimi's Cafe (in Grapevine)
Texas Roadhouse (on Hwy 121)
Logan's (in Lewisville)
Mi Cocina (on Mac Arthur in Irving)
Cotton Patch Cafe (in Grapevine)
Salt Water Willy's (in Grapevine)
Main Street Bistro & Bakery (in Grapevine)
Red Robin (in Grapevine)
Olive Garden (in Grapevine)

I know what you mean about going somewhere w/o the family. In June, when my sis' baby was born, I went to Gainesville to see her and help out. It was the first time I was w/o Hubby or Kids for more than a day in over a decade! Yes, I missed them but it was nice.

HOpefully we can get something planned. I already talked to my mom and told her that I didn't know exactly when, but that I was planning on meeting up with some y'all. She may come along too. Anyway, Grapevine or Lewisville would be great for me. Tenya, what works good for you?

Just a reminder. I'm keeping a list of where people are staying before and/or after the cruise. Please PM me if you want to be included on the list (which will be forwarded to Jeff to post on the website). PMs can't be missed whereas if it's posted on the thread, it can be. THANKS :goodvibes

Here's hoping the Rangers have a better night tonight. The Giants simply out pitched and out hit us. They did a good job. Rangers must do a better job.

How nice you are. I thought the Rangers really conducted themselves with style and played a good game too. It was getting tense at the end.
I think it is a shame when people act like such bores about a game. It is sure nice to win but at what cost? Everyone should be able to walk away feeling good about a great time - some just feel a little better. I never understood how you can "hate" somone or thing you never met???what a waste of energy.

I was supposed to send a PM to Carmie3377 regarding before/after cruise info, and accidently posted it here. So, now I'll go try to do it correctly.:confused3

A photo scavenger hunt sounds like great fun. Is someone volunteering to organize this?
Did you have the pictures printed at Shutters? Each night we have a few 4x6photos from the day printed and attach them to the wall with blue tape (doesn't damage the paint) in our cabin or on the door.
As we get closer to the cruise perhaps we can coordinate our activities so there is no conflict. I can think of the Wine & Meet, Room Tour, Champagne Girls and now the Photo Scavenger Hunt, PJ Breakfast.? Did I miss anything? Perhaps we can get some idea of what else is being planned by DCL. Does anyone have a contact with our CD from past cruises?
Sure sounds like we are going to have a wonderful cruise doesn't it????

If the weather is uncooperative, there is a pizza parlor two blocks down from Cuesta Park. It is Milan Pizza Restaurant, 1724 Miramonte - in the shopping center at the corner of Cuesta & Miramonte. There is also a Starbucks with seating in the same shopping center.

What an amazing post. I think I could learn a lot from this both on here and in real life. :rotfl:

It's just a game, It's just a game.....:rotfl2::banana::banana::rotfl2:

Just a quick question - does Southwest assign seats or is it more a cattle call? As in open seating? Haven't done it in over a decade but last time I flew somewhere on it - it was open call seating I think.

HAte is such a strong word(well for me anyway) it is batted around so freely, In my whole life I think Ive only hated around 2 or 3 people, certainly not entire sports teams:confused:
