I'm predicting we'll be on thread #5 by the end of next week.:rotfl:

A wonderful Santa set us up a reservation at DL Club 33 for DH birthday on our last night of our vacation. What a way to top of our trip!:cloud9:

Now if I can only keep it a secret from him until we get off the ship. Good thing he's never on the internet.

Oohh...Lucky! I wanna go to Club 33! I'm jealous!

We used to go once or twice a year when David's company had a membership there. But they either gave it up or else transferred the control to corporate headquarters, so now the local employees can't use it anymore.

Hope you have a blast and the that the surprise works out!

OMG! That's on the top of my bucket list. If you can, take pictures!
Dont know how, but I will make it there before I croak.

Don't know if the Dooney and Burke purses are still available onboard, but the ones in WDW were great, I love mine...mine is medium, not the smallest but not the largest 'tote' style, and it was $200. they have small clutches I believe under $100. I hope to get a DCL one onboard, even if its just the small wallet size one!

I'm torn for the formal nights too. I am bummed that 'princess' night is semi-formal, not formal. i have a beautiful full lenght princessy gown with long white gloves and tiara. not sure though if i should do it for formal night, or semi formal night, or both. decisions, decisions!

There's a thread on the main board about D&B purses. They are still available in multiple sizes and new styles and colors.

Wear it anyway. Everyone should and does do whatever pleases them. If jeans and a tee shirt is your thing - fine. If you want to dress in what sounds like a beautiful dress do it. No one will do anything but admire how you look. Everynight people dress from one extreme to the other. Some are going to the buffet and others Palos so no one thinks anything is odd - at least I don't. Be happy with yourself.

Lots of folk dress up on semi formal night as if it was formal. What really is the difference anyway? You wear your princessy gown. You won't be the only one. We get so few chances to do that don't we? In fact the cruise is the only place I get to put nice clothes on these days, long or short!

Pick the cat up and cradle in the crook of your left arm as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth pop pill into it, allow cat to close mouth and swallow.

Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind the sofa. Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process.

Retrieve cat from bedroom and throw soggy pill away. Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm holding rear paws tightly with left hand. Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for a count of ten.

Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe. Call partner in from garden. Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees, hold front and rear paws. Ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get partner to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously.

Retrieve cat from curtain rail, get another pill from the foil wrap. Make note to buy a new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered 'Dolton' figurines from hearth and set to one side for gluing later. Wrap cat in large towel and get partner to lie on cat with head just visible from below armpit. Put pill in end of drinking straw, force cat's mouth open with pencil and blow down drinking straw.

Check label to make sure pills not harmful to humans, drink glass of water to take taste away. Apply plaster to partners forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap. Retrieve cat from neighbours shed and get another pill. Place cat in cupboard and close door onto neck to leave head showing. Force mouth open with dessert spoon and flick pill down throat with elastic band.

Fetch screwdriver from garage and put door back on hinges. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of last tetanus jab. Throw t-shirt away and fetch new one from bedroom. Ring fire brigade to retrieve cat from tree across the road and apologise to neighbour who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid the cat. Take last pill from foil wrap. Tie cats front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining table, find heavy duty pruning gloves from shed and pry cat's mouth open with a small spanner. Push pill into mouth followed by a large piece of fillet steak. Hold head vertically and pour a pint of water down throat to wash down pill.

Get partner to drive you to the Emergency Room and sit quietly while doctor stitches fingers and forearms and removes pill remnants from right eye. Call at furniture shop on way home to order new table.

Lynne,

You got to warn a girl before you post something like this!! :rotfl:

I was laughing so hard I had to get up and walk away, just to catch my breath.

I am living vicariously though you lot, and I hope you'll be posting the drinks of the day, so I can play along at home.

Tracy, I don't think those menu's you mentioned are ones you dress up for. I think there is a Prince and Princess menu which is a formal night. On our Sept TA, there were lots of ladies who really dressed up in very princessy dresses and wore tiaras etc.

We did think that Toy Story night would be one you could dress up for. On the Magic it is Villains, and lots dressed up for that one.

Mexicalifragilistic is Mexican as you thought. Do you remember we had a Tropical night on the 2008 PC, but I'm wondering if Toy Story replaces that. I loved all the Tropical themed clothes that night.

I think there is a second formal night isn't there? Normal formal I guess.:confused3

No worries, you can dress tropical at our mixer ... :cheer2:

I think the newest print at WDW is the balloon print. It's really cute and I love how the colors of the balloons pop on the black handbags.

Same here, in fact, for some reason the cruises are the only place I like to dress up. I rarely wear a skirt anytime at home, I'm a jeans kind of girl, but I love formal night on the cruise.

Thanks everyone on the comments for the dresses/which nights. I'm more excited now to just do whatever I feel makes me happiest, and go from there. Cant believe its only 4 weeks away!

Hi, Marilyn:

Yes, I DO remember the Tropical night and that's sort of why I was asking, to see if maybe the "Taste of the Caribbean" was supposed to be the Tropical night, or if maybe Tropical night is gone. I don't see a Toy Story night listed anywhere. When would that be? I'm really confused. Considering this is our 3rd DCL trip, you'd think I'd be more organized but this time around I'm finding myself kind of clueless! That's what I get for spending so much time AWAY from the boards!!!!

Don't worrie .... All you gotta do is make sure your on the boat when it sets sail. Anything else will work it's self out ... or be funny (after a few years has softened them memory ... ) .... :rotfl2: ... Thats my plan.

I never did shrink into the formal dress that Tink . . . sent me so I'll just be wearing a dress. You can wear it the second night in my place, I will LOVE to take your picture, Princess!:goodvibes

Hello everyone,

I would like introduce ourselves. Forgive me, I'm new to posting and new to this whole cruise meet concept. My family & I will be going on this exciting cruise thru the Panama Canal. We have 2 connecting rooms on deck 2 aft. I will be traveling with my two girls who are 11 & almost 13. Then my mom and brother will in the other room. (My husband is not interested/unable to come.)

We have been fortunate to travel a number of times together to WDW. Then spring of 2009 we did a "try me" 3 night cruise on the Wonder. It worked! My family was hooked. I couldn't wait to get back on that ship. So needless to say we are super excited for this trip. We will be flying in on Jan. 1st and hit each of the parks once. I fell in love with the christmas decorations 2 years ago. So I'm excited to see the dream castle lights & the lights display @ DHS again.

I see you have a lot of things planned during the cruise. I don't know how much we will participate in. But it looks like there is a good chance we will bump into some people since it is such a big group. I'm hoping there are some nice kids that my girls can hang out with since it is such a long cruise. I would love to experience some of the adult areas from time to time.

Diane

Hi Diana! I have a DD that is 11. She is really looking forward to meeting some new friends on the cruise. I'm sure our girls will meet up at some point during the cruise.

Still no docs here! UGH! I'm wondering if they went to the TA first since Tahara received theirs and they too are in Houston. I sent an email to my TA to see if she has them and awaiting her response.

I just ordered those. I never cared much for the designs but loved the balloon one.

If your TA did not ask that they be sent to you directly, they will be sent to your TA first. I would check there first.

:banana::banana: Cruise docs finally arrived!:banana::banana:

This will be our first time so I'm very excited!

I can't believe we're hitting two of our bucket list items on this trip! Feeling pretty lucky and thankful these days. I'm sure I'll be taking some pictures.

Make sure someone takes a picture of the toliet in the women's restroom. You have to see it to believe it!

OCD on the planning tonight...I just checked the DCL website and stateroom 8020 is now available! If I hit the lottery, I'll switch cabins :lmao:!!

Anyone making plans for the Castaway Cay Cabanas?

Congrats Jenn on wrapping up your semester...DD will be finished next Friday and I'm not sure who's more excited...her:lovestruc or me:hippie:!!

We rented cabana number 2 on the family beach. For us, it's worth the money....
And I hear you on the who's more excited, you or DD... not sure who's more excited here, me or Jeff!

We got our cruise docs today. I ordered my extra set of bag tags from DME. Now I just hope I get to use them.

We will be at OKW as well. Will do lunch there and then dinner at California Grill. .

We should be arriving around noon (depending on weather related flight delays...hopefully there will NOT be any) and are hoping to go to one of the parks...either MK or EPCOT. I definitely want to see "Captain EO", but will wait until DL if it will still be there. Planning on just grabbing quick food at the park (maybe just a turkey leg or BBQ at Cosmic Rays), as I figure we'll be eating very well for the next 2 weeks.
Probably will have breakfast at Olivia's Thurs. morning.

30 days!!!!!
