Norty Orly!!! Isn't that unusual for dogs to eat fruit??

We used to have dachshund that would eat just about anything - onions, carrots, bananas, apples, ect. DH used to call him Farmer Roscoe because he seemed to love fruits and vegetables.

We are looking into transportation to the port from a WDW resort, Has anyone got a price on what they are charging? Thanks Cindy

To be honest, running on a treadmill isn't quite the same as road running. I usually equate about a 5-8% difference between the two (IE 1 mile on a road = 1.05-1.08 on a treadmill). It isn't enough that I'd care, but if you think that doing 10 minute miles on a treadmill is going to equate to 10 minute miles in a race, you'll find out it doesn't.

If your just working out to work out, then yes. Count it as 5 miles :)

Thank you - that has answered a question I was too embarrassed to ask. But it makes sense to me. I was running on a treadmill and when I went to run on deck 4 of the Magic, I just couldn't hang as long as I could in the gym. :worship:

My heart is broken today. My sweet little Bichon Frise, Murphy, passed last night. We had him for 15 years.

Please give all your furbabies hugs for me.

JUDY

 So sorry. My furkids are my life. I'd be a basketcase. But never fear - he is passing over Rainbow Bridge now. He had an amazing mommy and will be in your memories forever.

Norty Orly!!! Isn't that unusual for dogs to eat fruit??

I have 2 huskies, one of them absolutely loves :cutie: (strawberries) mangoes and Fuji apples (yes fugi apples only -she's a bit of an apple snob) She literally drools for strawberries and once beat my youngest human child to a dropped strawberry. She ran out of nowhere to pick it up and gobbled it up before she could bend down and wash it off.

Well I am so surprised about dogs liking fruit, but at least they are having a healthy diet!!!

Judy - this one's for you.......

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends
so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine,
and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old
are restored to health and vigor.
Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing;
they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together,
but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass,
his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted,
and when you and your special friend finally meet,
you cling together in joyous reunion,
never to be parted again.

The happy kisses rain upon your face;
your hands again caress the beloved head,
and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet,
so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Just changed my Res. from Disneyland Hotel to Grand Californian, and still save about a hundred dollars. Thanks for the info on the room rates.

Happy Thanksgiving to our American friends. We will be having a thanksgiving dinner for the first time this year thanks to our au pair who is from Austin, Texas. She is preparing the family some turkey and pumpkin pie. Yum!

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. It has been a hard day.

But....life goes on. Cornbread baked, onions and celery cooked, salad made, eggs boiled and turkey bought. Yes, I cheated! Purchased an organic free range never been frozen already cooked turkey from Berkeley Bowl. The turkey would not fit in the oven on our boat. Just have to make all the sides. Oh yes, three pies purchased from Costco and they are sitting in the cockpit. No need to refrigerate here it is sooooo cold outside.

Our son, his girlfriend and her 3 yr old son will arrive in the morning after driving 12 hours from Phoenix. Really looking forward to seeing them.

It was actually good for me to stay busy. I think people in the stores thought I was crazy when all of a sudden I would start crying, but that's the way it was today and probably for more to come. Thanks again for caring!

Judy

Good Evening,

I still have not posted enough in order to pm anyone.

Larry and I are interested in the tour that you have arranged for Costa Rica. I think that you have gotten a wonderful itinerary for the tour and the price is very reasonable.

Are there still seats available on the tour bus? There are 2 of us.

We are just back from Las Vegas and head to Disney World on November 30th.

I hope that we are not too late to reserve a seat.

Thanks,
Barbara & Larry

Hi All,
Just popping in to say a quick "Hello."
Wow, so much has transpired since I last checked in that I don't know where to start...
DD and I arrived safely in Napa last night to celebrate Thanksgiving with the family. I have to say, it is so nice to be "Home." I am most definitely of the mindset that there are Northern and Southern California people and you can only fall into one category...So, while I may live in So. Cal, I will always be a Nor. Cal girl at heart. It is so nice and COLD here :woohoo:
Judy, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My heart goes out to you as I know how great the void can be when you lose a beloved pet.
Sally, Happy belated birthday! Sorry it took so long, but I have not been on to send the wish.
Welcome all of the new peeps! We are going to have a great time!!
Sherri, Sally, Harole Ann and all others who I have inadvertently forgotten, I wish you extra special love and support during this Holiday time! I know the loss intensifies this time of year and I wish you many warm hugs and special family moments and memories to carry you through!

To everyone who will be celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow...HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! I am counting down the moments to Turkey, gravy, stuffing, pumpkin pie, my moms potatoes and BLACK FRIDAY ADS!! That's right, tomorrow is an all-nighter for me!

Blessings to all!
~Melissa
