I had a somewhat similar problem though not as tall. try Penny's on line. my DDs are 26 and 29 so things may have changed though!

I got her a dress at JCPenney and I think I'm going to look there again today. I'm hoping for at least one long dress but don't know if that's going to happen. I evened looked at the 7 story Macy's in San Fran. I just knew I would be able to find a long formal type dress for a tween, but nope, nothing.

A few Napa Valley updates:

Cocoa got her stitches out yesterday and is doing well. Still on soft food and no playing with toys but hopefully this is our only bout with this horrible disease. Cocoa sends her thanks for all the prayers and pixie dust. So do I.

As far as cameras, I just bought DH a new flash for our Canon DSLR. Hoping that will help get some better shots. We also have a Canon D12 underwater. It does a pretty good job and is great for out and about on the cruise.

My old panasonic Lumix does have a view finder. It's very handy in bright situations where one can't see the image in the screen.

A few Napa Valley updates:

Cocoa got her stitches out yesterday and is doing well. Still on soft food and no playing with toys but hopefully this is our only bout with this horrible disease. Cocoa sends her thanks for all the prayers and pixie dust. So do I.

Camera input... I bought myself a Nikon D5000 earlier this year for the WBTA. The pictures are awesome. I have 2 lenses for it. I also took a tiny Kodak 12 mp that we used when we didn't want to lug the big boy around. Both have their pros and cons. We'll take both again this trip.

We arrive in Orlando on Jan. 5th. Would love to get a room at the Airport Hyatt. Still waiting for that to happen. But the good thing is that's all I have left to do except pack. I'll do that around New Years.

Congrats to all who have things to celebrate and my thoughts are with those who are going through some of life's troubles.

Winter is making its way into Alberta Canada today
I am definitely counting down 7 weeks until we get to leave for Florida

We have gotten our FE gifts all set. Now we just need to hope that we don't go over the weight allowance with our luggage

With the Lumix, it depends on the type of camera that you are getting whether you get a view finder or not. The one I am getting, will have one as well as the screen. However, the smaller pocket-sized point and shoot cameras only have the LCD screen at the back.

I love your idea for the shoes. For the second set I love the idea of embossing them with gold.

I recieved my magnets that I purchased from Vistaprint..they made a mistake and sent me almost double my order..we weighed them! All together - almost 11 pounds!

DH said I better divide those up among our luggage!

Corinna - I may have missed this - your Dubai adventure sounds exciting! What type of work do you do?

Today setting up our rental car from LA home - talked to DCL yesterday regarding the flight info page and asked if her computer showed a stateroom for us as mine did not.

Nope. She said could be up to 2 weeks before departure. NOOOOO!!!!
I am hoping for 45 days out. She also said the crystal ball and magic mirror were not working so she was sorry she just could not help me.

Grady's mommy just did 3 fe's and 2 cases for me and they are great! Just got them last week. It took a few weeks, but well worth it!

thinking about it. DH likes to do the thinking and comparing and such so i'm leavint it up to him. otherwise i'd do kayak for the cheapest (nice) room and just book it. we may come down sunday and do either vero beach or wdw till weds and on weds move to pc. i'd mentioned dd is trying to get us an invite onto the dream so i want to be close jic she does and we have to do it early. and we'd have to get our luggage onto the wonder (prob into her room) before we would get on the dream so it'd be a long day. and either way we want to be close.
anyone know the usual vero beach weather that time of year? thanks!

Nobody else staying at the raddison

I loved the Radisson when we stayed there in 2009. It would be my hotel of choice for a future pre-cruise stay if we stay in PC, but last year and this we are doing WDW first. If I were staying there I would have met up with you, its a fun pool area to hang out in there and then head over for some good food and live music at fish lips!

We also loved the Radisson, but we only get into Florida the day before the cruise and after a long flight and with the time difference, it would not be fare on Graham to have to drive. At least with staying at WDW, we can just get on Magical Express plus we can use our DVC points so it won't cost us anything.

I ordered my FE and 2 pillowcases as well from Gradysmom. I ordered I think Early October and got them in about 3 weeks. Very Nice.

I ordered a fish extender from gradysmommy on ebay-took about 4-6 weeks, but is very cute and well worth the wait. My MIL also ordered from her and got her fish extender in about two weeks. I think it just depends on how busy she is.

On another note, I spoke with DCL via DVC today. According to DCL, I had to call DVC because we used points for part of our cruise. Why that makes any difference (as I was just calling to give them our flight information, as I can't enter it online due to we have only a one way trip) is beyond me, but whatever, DVC was very helpful as usual. Anyway, my point was we are still GTY. Not surprising since I just checked via the DCL website last pm, but the DVC rep said they usually don't assign cabins until 1-2 weeks out! I thought they sent out cruise docs before then. How am I supposed to do my FE gifts if I don't have a cabin number? And how will anyone else doing the FE gift exchange know where we are?

Also, I did a tally today for the FE gift exchange by age. I don't mean to step on any toes and if anyone else has done this, let me know. I am willing to post the info if anyone else needs it. I just did it because I don't really think I should give the 2 year olds the same thing as the 17 year olds.

Another question-does anyone know where to get a Disney princess dress in a 2T. I ordered a Belle dress in an 18 month, but when I held it up to my 17 month old, it could have been a shirt! She will not be happy if she doesn't have princess dress and big sis does. I did find the cutest pirate costumes for both DD's on buy.com today. Both have pink-too cute. My eldest DD's even has a pink pirate sword!
