From WDW to DL With Love - January 06, 2011 part 3

For those of you waiting to book stuff, I really wouldn't worry about not getting what you want. True you may not get it online, but I would bet you could get it once we get on the Wonder.
In short order, the boat looks empty. There are 11C GTY rooms available right now. When I asked about a military discount for my friend, I was told that they'll be coming soon (another indicator of a low selling boat).

I can;t wait for this cruise. I'm ready for this semester to be over at school and we're not even a month in! It's going to be a long 3 months until we get to the end of the semester.

On a sad note, please remember tomorrow (September 11th) to take a moment and remember what happened 9 years ago. As someone who grew up looking at the NYC skyline, I still can't quite look now. For Jeff and I, we live our lives the way we do now because of 9/11 (short story, I put Jeff on a plane that morning to NYC - I had no idea until early afternoon if he was ok). For those who died that day and those left behind, just take a moment, say a small word or prayer for them.

Jeff, thank you for working so hard on the site, it looks great!

Time seems to be creeping by so slowly. I can't wait for the 23rd when I can book excursions and Palo. I try not to wish my life away, but I want to make sure to get the excursions I really want!

I am so with you on the 23rd. All I care about is my Palo Brunch and Tea. Well I am going to head to Denver later today to have dinner with a friend of mine. DW is headed home to Freeport Maine for a couple of weeks to tend to some family stuff. All is fine, she just needs to go take care if her dad after a surgery he is going to have. So I am a bachelor for a couple of weeks.

I was able to book transfers from the port to Paradise Pier Hotel in DL through DCL. I then booked 3 nights at the hotel and was able to get a 30% senior discount . I could not book transfers from the hotel to LAX because I did not book a package but I was told I could book the shuttle right at the hotel. This seemed the cheapest way to do it.

I too hope we get to see the three ship together. When the Magic could not get into CC both the Magic and the Wonder were at Port Canaveral- there was an empty dock due to the gambling ship going out of business- and we went down to the port to see them leave. It was great - when the two ships were side by side the horns were blowing and passengers waving to each other- It was a site- and yes I did shed some tears- only a true Diseny person would understand.

Is anyone trying to arrange a Disboards tea or Brunch? I know there is a private room for around 15 people that can be used for this and if there is someone that can book early I think you can book the room

Oh no, I can't even imigine how terrifed you must have been. What a tragic day, one that brings tears to me not only on 9/11 but many other days when thinking about it.

We sailed the Wonder a few years ago and had a great surprise at Nassua. The Disney Magic pulled in and docked right next to us! I think the crew was even more excited than we were.

It is their only opportunity, and is probably the last time the entire fleet picture can be taken together (Once the fleet goes to 4 boats, it would take a downright miracle to have them all sailing from a close enough location to make it even physically possible). Knowing Disney, they won't pass that opportunity up.

(I really wish I could show you all the amazing photos we have in monorails, particularly the one of both the Mark IV and Mark VI Black trains departing the TTC).

The company loves its history, and even if it is something the cruise line will state is very hard to do, Anaheim will tell them to get it done.

We are all PIF and reviewing excursion info. There are 8 of us for ziplining - so I need to locate the contact info for that.

I am soooo hoping for the 3 ship photo op!!

Congrats on the PIF!! Just in case you missed it, we're having a So Cal DISmeet on October 24. I KNOW it's a LONG trek for you guys, but just in case you were thinking of making a DLR trip sometime in that vicinity I figured I'd make sure you knew! Details are on page 1!

My Dad worked at the Pentagon for many years before retiring from the US Army and I have been to the Petagon a lot growing up. His old office was very near where the plane hit. Last year at my Step Dad's funeral at arlington you can still see the area and memorial area for the 9/11/ plane. We also herd the horn battle of the Magic and Wonder last year as we were leaving PC. Wonder was in from Dry Dock.

My son's chihuahua got grabbed by a coyote Tuesday. Fortuntally she will be Ok but has a broken neck. They are both umeployed so the bill if coming to us.

To top is off, DD wedding is next Sat, and I threw my back out last night in the shower. I have to make all the cakes and decorate the reception hall!When it rains it pours. At least cruise is paid for and I have somethi tmo look forward to. Pardon my typos as I am on pills for my bacl amd my hannds are shaking.

Oh my goodness what trouble you are having. I hope you manage to keep the back pain in check with good meds. Poor little doggy too. What a horrible thing to happen. What treatment is she having.
