What an exotic honeymoon! How long was it and what time of year did you go? I'm most likely doing both Australia and New Zealand, if budget allows, if not, just Australia. I want it to be warm enough for swimming and outdoor fun so I'm thinking March or April or October? Help from my Aussie friends on here would be appreciated too- I think I asked you awhile ago and I should have written your answer down somewhere but sadly didnt ; )We flew 1st class to Australia on our honeymoon. It was divine and the best!
If there are any high school/ college kids on board who need tutoring in anatomy and physiology, I'll volunteer my mom for that. Heck even some bio she can do. My mom is a nurse too (I swear she knew Florence Nightingale - probably taught her a thing or two). But she's taught nursing for the last 20+ years and has written text books and what not. A&P is one of her specialties (of course it was the bane of my existence in nursing school). I can also volunteer my brother for tutoring anyone in earth sciences (he's gonna love me for that). He's going for his doctorate in geology.
Wow, the wait is taking longer and longer!
I still haven't figured out what the process is to be added to the "gift exchange". I think maybe it hasn't started yet .....![]()

Yap that is how I read it! Just making sure I didn't miss anything. We don't normaly pay full price ..... when I saw (mis-read) that I was all WAIT....
Thanks for clearing that up....
THAT's a nice tactful way to deal with it, Alan. MUCH safer for your chum. And when you do post it, I'll copy it to the first post so that you won't need to repeat yourself quite so many times.![]()
Thanks DanI'm not into snorkeling myself, but if you're going to do it at any of the ports, I'd think Aruba would be the place. Should have the warmest water. And definitely has perfect beaches.![]()
Well the good news it was something to do with the vapor system and under 200 to fix. I am having another problem fixed and that is 700. DW says it will be fine so that's good. Now I need some advice from you all. I am in possession of some info that you all want to know. Not only do I know the theme nights but I know how each rotation is going to go. The problem is my friend at DCL said it is for my eyes only right now. I really want to share it with you. So if anyone has an idea on how I can say but not be dishonest to my friend please let me know.

Are y'all sick of me saying that yet??
I live wearing my Castaway lanyward on the cruises. But for DIS identification we are supposed to be doing the wristbands- does anyone know the status of that? I know awhile back we were debating if someone was doing it as an FE group or if someone would setup a site where we could order and purchase individually. Personally I would rather purchase individually to make sure we all get one since it was suggested that if it were an FE group, depending on cost not everyone in the stateroom may get one, and more importantly, not everyone is participating in the FE, so I think it would be more fair and involve more DISers if it werent an FE gift IMO.Oh man, when it rains--it pours---right?! We came home to a dead fridge/freezer last night---after just filling it up on Sunday. It is only 15 years old. I hate shopping for appliances---nothing really fits in our small 1958 kitchen. At least the new one we buy tonight will be more energy-efficient---right?
Oh Jen, I am so jealous---a 5 week honeymoon down-under! We spent 3 weeks in Scotland and London---I bet you weren't dragged to numerous soccer games like I was----we did have perfect weather though--it only rained when were at Loch Ness. They were having an unusually warm and sunny Fall in 1995.
We'd love to help out in any way on this cruise---being history people we can perhaps help out with that side of learning--we aren't teachers though. Last year we helped our friend's oldest daughter through freshman year in high school---she has her dad's math/science/engineer brain and was having a difficult time in her history class--we helped her with her projects and she got an A!
I'm bummed that we won't have lanyards this cruise---how will we identify each other? I am happy that we are having a meet on the boat! We'll be there with a bottle or 2 of white zin from a winery here in Maryland![]()

I agree. I am participating in the FE but if the wristbands are going to be a way to identify us then I think they should be available to everyone to purchase so those that can/do not want to do FE can still get them.Personally I would rather purchase individually to make sure we all get one since it was suggested that if it were an FE group, depending on cost not everyone in the stateroom may get one, and more importantly, not everyone is participating in the FE, so I think it would be more fair and involve more DISers if it werent an FE gift IMO.
I understand you all are very anxious, I am very glad you are all coming down to join us on your adventure! I am getting all the facts in that we need such as where you will be picked up and also if I can do any other special arrangements for you guys. I will get all this info to you by Sat.
Best Regards & thanks for your patience.

Thanks for the update, cant wait to hear the details!I received an e-mail from Esmerelda at Los Veranos this morning. Here it is:
So, hopefully, we will be able to book and pay by Monday.

Also, for my So Cal friends, can any of you recommend a towncar company to pick us up from the port in LA to take us to Disneyland? We were originally going to rent a car but then I thought it is a waste of money to just have the car sit there, we do not leave DLR once there since its all walkable. We we really only need the are on Monday to drive down to San Diego to spend the day and then take the red eye home that night, so we can just rent the car for the day on Monday.
Just so you know here in CA renting in one location and dropping off in another is not cheep. It can more than double the price of the car. It may be cheeper to just keep it. Also the only on site Car rental at DLR is a Alamo at DTD.
Didn't know that. I was planning on renting a car to drive back to San Jose after the cruise. Hmmm. We will see what the cost is works out to be.
