Hi All,

Sorry for being AWOL of late - DH's job threw a spanner in the works - he's been offered a promotion, but handover will likely be end of November / early December, so he wasn't sure if he'd be able to take the full 4 weeks off for our trip. Thankfully, for now, it seems as though we're still good to go.

I've skimmed messages over the last couple of weeks, but have been in a funk due to the possibility of missing what I've been looking forward to for such a long time.

In any case, I'll read in full over the coming days, and hope to catch up in more detail.

Alan - here's a shot I took of the Airbus back in February (I worked for an international air freight company at the time).

We'll be flying on her come Christmas Day, all going well :worship:

Cheers for now,
Sally :)

Hi Sally, missed you.

Last time I was on here, you were on the first thread. PIF in full today and am taking my niece with me. It's going to take forever to read everthing. Has a meet and greet been decided on, how many are particapating in FE and are we going to have ID badges or something? If these questions have been answered, please point me in the right direction. Looking forward to meeting all of you.

Wow ... ya'll got a lot of threads ... Crossing my eyes ... LOL
I asked before and had no idea how busy this thread was, I could not find my question (and I am sure the answer to .... ) ... does anyone know if they still do the 60/70/80's nights? I have been shopping at goodwill and sure hope we get to wear the stuff .... :lmao:

What information has been decided on is listed in the first page of this thread.

Evening all,

Just waiting a bit longer before we make our final payment, but we have booked our flight to Orlando and the one back to Ottawa....whew the rates finally came down

We're staying at POP Century for a couple of days before the cruise and have decided on the Disneyland resort for our LA part. It will be nice to be 'on-property'

It surprised me though that the shuttle to LAX is not a Disney one, but Supershuttle, I suspect the one from the cruise port to Disneyland is the same

Can anyone confirm?

Looking forward to seeing you all in 143 days

PS...with all you you watching football, it should leave some of the TVs available for our religion....HOCKEY

I am getting sooo ready! I think I have all our dresses covered, just hope we don't gain or lose weight! I was afraid if I was to wait to shop it would be all winter clothes ... :rotfl:

Hello everyone - i haven't checked in here since the frenzy of booking the cruise so many months ago...we leave for wdw in a few days so i should be focused on that trip but the OCD planner in me wants to move on to the next trip's details...we'd love to participate in the FE and i really need to spend some time reading these posts to figure out how all this cruise stuff works as this is our first real cruise (car ferries to nova scotia don't count)...Linda, we met on a bus to/from DTD during our January wdw trip - looking forward to seeing you again on the pc cruise...everyone here seems so welcoming and as excited as we are to be on this cruise...will touch base again when we're back and settled after the school year launches...happy planning!!!

Good to see you back AgentJ. Drive safe to WDW next week. I will see you there on the Wednesday/Thursday at the EPCOT Pin Event. 9 more days :cool1:

Good Morning cruisers, lovely sunny day in Edinburgh.....:goodvibes

But Im at work all day :sad2:

Only 14 nights to work before my ta cruise:woohoo:

I'm sure everyone has a login for the Disney Cruise Line site....why do I have to put in my reservation number and retrieve it every time I go there? Does anyone know how to save your cruise with your email/login? I just find it odd that it doesn't remember that I have a cruise booked :-).

If anyone has been able to save their cruise under their login, please share how to do it....

Yes, I tend to check daily to see if excursions are posted.....

Thanks,

Ok, I’m really going to show my ignorance here. It seems people use TA in many ways. I'm thinking sometimes people are talking Trans=Atlantic. Like orlandothebeagle, Lynne, is doing a ta cruise. Sometimes it sounds like someone is going to ask their ta a question (travel agent??). Am I right on this? Am I just confused?

I can’t believe the cruise is so close now! Wow! I’m getting excited. We're trying to decide if we can afford for me to miss 3 days of work (unpaid) and to also fly and eat so take a long weekend this coming weekend in the World. We're DVC so as long as they have a room, that's paid for. We're thinking this weekend for 2 reasons=- our 31st anniv and DD will be there. Haven’t seen her since ...May Jen? Or June, except for my father’s funeral, and while I believe I looked functional, I remember little. So either a long weekend in the world with DH and DD or no vaca till Jan!! Such a decision. And it's the end of the fiscal year and I work for the gov't.... (As a contractor that’s why no pay). Will let you know and see if anyone would be down there if we go.

Have a good dry Sunday (it's been raining like crazy here)!
Sherri

We are planning to stay at POP also! What are your plans getting to the port? We were thinking of using DCL bus, but I don't think you get there early.

I usually log into castawaycay club to get my reservation.

I do the same thing! :thumbsup2 Just log in to the site as normal, and click on "Castaway Club". Click "view my cruises" on the left side panel. Your past and future cruises will come up, click on the reservation number you want to look at.
My prediction (without any inside information) is that excursions won't be available until September 1st. :flower3:

Sherri: Yes, you are correct. :) TA is both transatlantic and travel agent depending on the context.

Lori: If you want to use DCL transfers and get to port reasonably early, you can take the Magical Express to the Orlando airport for free and the first DCL bus leaves MCO at about 9:00 AM. Good luck!

I've been reviewing the excursions from previous panama canal cruises to get ideas. Looking at other cruise lines and google on ports. Wondering which port will offer whale watching.:fish:
