A tip though, transfer it from the little cardboard cups to something like a plastic 'bottle' or cup for storage as the water can take up the nasty paper cup taste after a while. By morning it is disgusting!
You aren't supposed to use anything but the cups provided to get the drinks from the drinks station because of cross contamination, so always use a new paper cup and transfer.

So you bring your reusable bottles up with you, and transfer the water from the paper cups right there? Or do you bring the paper cups back to the room? I just don't want to do anything that would be frowned upon, and I can definitely understand the concern for cross contamination. If it would be frowned upon to walk up to the refill station with 4 reusable bottles, I wouldn't do that.

I used to grab a tray and fill a few cups and take them back to the state room and transfer them into my water bottles

Don't we get Castaway Club metal water bottles, or are they changing the gift next year?

I'm hoping we get a special CC gift that's custom for our cruise. In 2005 we received a very nice maroon blanket with the DCL logo and Panama Canal and also listed our ports.

I'm not sure if they did this in 2008? And , I can't remember if we got this in addition to the normal CC gifts?

Personally, I hope they change the standard gift by then. But, even if they change, they will probably still include some type of water bottle. I have 3 different types of CC water bottles at home.

Saw them when we were on board in April and I was so not impressed. I didn't see Palo's. But the main dining room and the Cove had run of the mill, medicore wine. A lot of wines I wouldn't ever buy for home, not to mention on vacation.

Thats annoying, last time I never enjoyed the wines all that much.

I hope though that they dont discriminate and give only a PC unique gift to gold or platinum members- no offense to any of you who are, and i wouldnt have a problem if you got a "bigger" special PC gift, but I would definitely be bummed if they gave us just a regular CC gift and special PC ones to the gold or platinums, IMO.

I love tap water. The reusable bottles I use are Thermos plastic (BPA free) bottles that have a lid, rubber stopper and little metal ring that locks the lid in place. I have had way too many bottles leak in my purse. The bottles are called Intak and they run from $10-15. Not insulated but I use one of those can coozies

There's no need to fill cups with water and take them back to your stateroom - just fill a cup and pour it into your bottle. fill it again and pour it into your bottle. Ice too. No one will care if you do this AT the drink station.

No I have not heard, what is going on with Steinbrener? I am so thirlled they fixed the dinning system at WDW. Now I have cancelled my Boma ADR and have exactly what I was looking for, 'Ohana on 1/5/11 at 8:45. Very happy about that. As for gifts. In 08 we got a nice ceramic thing at the end of the cruise. We also got a special Ducky litho. Both were one per stateroom.

I just got the new about "the Boss". Well at least in baseball terms. Yes I do hate the Yankees but I hate the team not people. Sad day for MLB. When I first read the question, I thought he got in trouble again. Again a very sad day for MLB especially since today is the All-Star game.

Watching the AL score the first run of the game right now. Yes a very sad day for MLB and no I'm not a Yankees fan, I'm still loyal to the A's.
