There is not one Dunkin in the State of CA. Trust me if there was my DW would know. How are things going with your pass?
We used to have one in Cupertino, but it went away. Mountain View got one of the first Krispie Kreme donut places in the bay area - but those things will "kill" you. They are tooooooo sweet. LOL!

My Premier pass arrived yesterday, but DH hasn't gotten his yet.

Booked our meals for WDW in September. Can't wait! Come home from DL on 9/6 and leave for WDW on 9/7. Alan, I've got next Tuesday marked so I can buy Southwest tix to both Anaheim and Orlando.

Thanks for the bussiness. I really do mean it. Good to know about your pass. I wish mine would come. I have always wanted a golden, or golden like, Disney Ticket.

Ah yes, the grocery stop is our second most important reason (after the liquor store) for not doing the DCL transport. We dont buy a lot of stuff since there is so much on board to eat and drink, but we do like to get a few essentials like little snacks, some bottled water for excursions, pineapple juice for my drinks when I cant get to the dining room, and of course, the infamous red cups for my cocktails ; )

There is a story here if I'm not mistaken. "Infamous red cups for my cocktails." What might this thing be?

I was reading on another thread about a couple who went out and found a pair of large plastic wine goblets, each held 1/2 of a bottle. They filled up in their room and just brought them down to dinner. :woohoo:

Good Morning everyone!
All this talk of drinks makes me want to get this cruise started! DH likes apple martinis and I like dirty martinis (stereotypical opposites). So if I go up to a bar to order, and then sit down to wait, the waiter ALWAYS gets it wrong! :rotfl2:
Have a great day!

Lol yes I remember reading that thread sometime last year, and then at Christmas a relative brought a glass to our dinner that held an entire bottle of wine - we of course had to try it out to see that it lived up to its promise of a full bottle. That thing was heavy! I don't think he minded though :lmao:

Since it's a two week cruise maybe we will cancel our DCL transfers at Florida and book a towncar instead with a liquor stop. I've heard of them stopping at supermarkets so surely a liquor stop would be doable. I will have to research this :thumbsup2

It was our friend who bought wine glasses that held half a bottle of wine or more!!! I saw her with them a few times.

They used to have large wine glass shaped (fish?) bowls at Micheals. Those would hold at least an entire bottle!

Just need one of these!

OH MY GOSH! We went away for 2 weeks to Europe in November, then when we got back, life was just too busy to check in here. I come back 4 months later and you're on the 2nd thread! Wow, life just moves too fast!

Anyway, I'm back, although I'll probably be a pretty inconsistent participant until the fall. DH gets kind of crabby when I start to invest more time in online friends than family (gee, I can't imagine why???)

I'm very excited that DS has finally decided on a college, AND that the college is OFF for Winter Break during the cruise so he will be able to join us! Woo Hoo! It will be really weird, though, traveling with one adult child and one teen. Don't know how that's going to work out but we'll figure it out!

Anyway, just wanted to check in and say "HI" and that we are still here! I'll go back and try to catch up a bit. If there's any news I need to know, can someone point me in the right direction? Last cruise there was a "sticky" post at the beginning of each thread that had lots of great info to help people who were joining late to get up to speed. Anything like that here, or just the website? (which is great, btw! I just went over there and checked it!!)

Welcome back Tracy!!

party:

Be warned, you are close enough to be given bread, if you're not careful!!

I can tell you for sure - they will stop and allow you to buy liquor. We used Florida Classic Limo for 2 cruises and he will definitely stop. FL Limos will too.

And the price is usually pretty close to the same - DCL transfers vs. limo/towncar.

I figured out why my DH doesn't have a Premier Pass. His DL pass has "Doug" and the WDW pass has his full legal name, which he absolutely detests. I guess I'll have to make a photocopy of his passport and his DL photo for them to compare. Sigh!

Gotta do this quickly, as his DL pass expires on 4/3.

Anyone else having a name problem with the Premier Pass?

I never thought about that. My WDW pass has my First, Middle, and last names. My DLR pass only has my First and Last. That may explane a lot. I will have DW inquire tomorrow. She is calling WDW ticket services as they are handeling it.

Those sound yummy!! My favorite drink it an apple martini. I wonder what the limit is going to be for Flounder's Nursery use on a 15NT cruise?

Well, I do realize that this may totally disqualify from me participating further on this thread, but I just have to mention the one drink they make on the cruise that you have to ask for (it's not on current menus), and which is (from my perspective) far better than any mere alcoholic drink.

Chocolate smoothies.

They are enough to justify the cruise all by themselves.... :rolleyes1

Sounds right up my alley! Where do I find them?

Those sound good, maybe add some, and I am not going to spell this right so sorry, kahlua or bailes or maybe both to it. Now that sound really good.

I have a update, and it is a good one. So DW gives a call this morning, and first let me say that she is now conviced that the WDW CMs were trained on all this and the DLR people were not. The person on the other side, Mike, said we were not on the list. She gave the info, and Mike told her to go back to DL before my pass expires and go get our PP. According to Mike a lot of people were left of the master list that he was able to access. The problem is they close at 4:30 EDT so we need to get there early tomorrow, shoudn't be to hard as DW is off at 11 tomorrow so we should be there by noon. So the good news is tomorrow I should be the proud owner of a PP, the bad news is I am sure the CM will not know what to do (basied on what has happened so far) and will probably not want to call FL. Still here is hoping I get some true Disney service. The thing is, why were we not issued our passes last Friday, DW asked Mike this, and his answer is that they should have.

Now I know why I was on hold for so long with WDW this morning - your DW was talking to them. LOL! WDW told me to take both of DH's passes - including the one that expires on 4/3 - with us to DL in September. His name on the WDW pass is on his driver's license, and he still looks like the photo on the DL pass. She said for me to be with him, and show them MY Premier pass if we have any trouble. She also changed his name on the WDW pass - which might throw things into a bigger mess. I have promised to "pitch a hissy fit" if we have any problems. She said the fact that his DL pass will be expired shouldn't be a problem. We'll go early enough in the morning of 9/3 to be sure the DL CMs can call WDW if necessary.

The other good news is that my new passport arrived today. We've called both Disney Cruises and DVC - for the member cruise - to give them the updated numbers. I noticed that DH's passport number hadn't been updated for our last cruise, and no one said anything.

Hope everyone is enjoying a nice day - sat outside one of my local Starbucks this afternoon with a friend while we sipped our coffees and had a good chat.
