Booked GC 1bd for 21st checkout 25th. 24th is my birthday so we get celebrate at DL.:cheer2:

No hotel for us in CA. DH has to go back to work on Monday so he wants to get home on Friday to try to get back to the real world.

Oh, we could have had a 1 bedroom, but we really don't want to use the points for one. I think I might get to like it too much!!!:lmao::lmao:

We had to get a 2 BR - we could have done two studios, but the fact is we want to do all the laundry before we ship it home. And the 2BR has laundry facilities. If it's like WDW's DVC resorts, it's free to do that laundry too.

It's TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space).

The Rory storyline is amazing. Incredibly sad yet wonderful. You will see him again. Well maybe :rolleyes1
The Silurian episodes were amazing. Steven Moffat (the lead writer for Dr Who now) is one of my favorite writers. He wrote hands down the best sit-com ever- Coupling. Absoluelty not for children, but probably the funniest thing ever put out on BBC.

Thanks for the spelling, I'm a #s girl:confused3 I've seen the Coupling show, quite well written and definitely not kid compatible :goodvibes

I think it was the best episode this series and can't wait till Saturday!!!!! I love the new Doctor. Shame some of the writing hasn't been the best and the odd episode a bit poor. But, did I say i love the new Doctor?????:lmao:

My DD is :lovestruc with new Doctor, too!! I'm looking forward to the upcoming episodes!!

We just booked our room at GC for after the cruise. Woohoo!

And, Happy Belated Father's Day to the dads out there. I didn't even touch my computer yesterday. DD and I made mickey pancakes yesterday for DH.

2 BR villa booked :)

We're booked at VGC too! Pre and post hotels booked...now just watching those airfares!

:sad1:
You guys got there first. I'm on a wait list for GC for the 21st. Also trying to get a studio....not many of them to begin with.

We're booked at VGC in 2BR for 21st & 22nd, :cool1: - we will do the parks, pool & some laundry as well:thumbsup2...will have to head back to reality on the 23rd...:scared1::scared1:

For those heading to VGC and surrounding hotels, what are your thoughts about transportation between DCL Wonder? hotel to airports? In 2005 when we did a pre-cruise stay at GC we used Disney transportation between LAX-GC-Port -- I'm looking for E-A-S-Y!!

We are also booked at GC in a studio. Yippee! No waiting for August to book the remaining airfare. We have a nice 3 week vacation. I have to work on Monday too.

we'll do a limo from Port of LA to the VGC and VGC to LAX.

Hey I'm a girl and I can tell most boys about scifi!

Happy 1st day of Summer!

Congrats to those you got DGC booked... the villas are wonderful! We will be staying on the ship for the 21st and 22nd but then back to reality on the 23rd :sad1:

I have to get moving on our planning..it's going quickly!

We're waitlisted too!!! Not sure we will get it, so will book Candy Cane In when all our dates are available.

I wouldn't wait too long to book CCI, it's not that big and lots of people I have been talking to are already booked in - including myself :cool1:

I have just this minute sent off an email!!! I really quite fancy staying there and might cancel our waitlist anyway!!!

We stayed at the GC last time on Developer points that we needed to use. We loved it, but I really don't think we would afford it otherwise. What are the other 2 Disney hotels like?

That was one of the main reasons why we are staying at GC and booked a 1BR. I don't want to have to catch up on laundry when we get back.
The other reason is that after 15 nights in cat 9 cabin, I think I'm going to need some room to stretch my legs and actually stay up later than DD. I can repack and organize while she is sleeping in another room.
We stayed off-site in 2005 and, honestly, it was a little scary. Plus, the hotel was, to put it nicely, not what I expected. And it was one of the hotels that was recommended to us by other DIS'ers.

We haven't booked our flight yet. DH & I both have Delta skymiles we are using and we both have the Delta CC which gets you one free checked bag. So unless we can find a really great rate on another non-stop flight, we are going Delta. With the time change and overall exhaustion from such a long vacation, we do not want a layover.

Just saying hi. Just finshed watching the Lakers parade. This one feels so good because we beat those stupid Celtics. Well off to download and instal IOS4 for my iPhone. Talk to you all soon.

I am so glad that we used the majority of our Delta miles awhile back, they have changed their program so much that it takes tons of miles to get anywhere near a free ticket. I hope you can use them the way you anticipated.:sad2:

Have fun staying the extra few days.

My DH birthday is also Jan 24th, but he'll be back at work on that day. We're only staying Jan 21st - 23rd at the GC.

We're flying Delta back. It has the only red eye between LAX and Tampa. That alone is worth it to us.
