We definately want to do a white water excursion and I want DH to do a zip-lining excursion. I did one in Costa Rica and LOVED it. He as to scuba dive everywhere, so we will have to see who wins that battle.

I am very antsy to start making reservations, but airfare seems kind of high right now for me. I made the car and I cannot make the hotel yet, so I am just in limbo. Maybe I could start door signs.

I hate the planning limbo- I'm in it too! Waiting for Airlines to open return trips so we can make all of them at once. I probably ought to get on transfer plans and getting things I can settle settled!

I hate planning limbo too. I've made air & hotel. I want EXCURSIONS! The only thing keeping my mind busy is planning my daughter's wedding in Sept. She and I are so anal we are almost done with planning, lol. She's been keeping me very busy.

re raddisn at the port, we kinda booked this as as fall back, never been before, actually like the look of it.
I was thinking about upgrading to suite, what the heck, :cool1:
I like the bubble pool in the bedroom, what do you guys think of the raddison?

I stayed at the Radisson in January 2009 and thought it was great. Ample parking, awesome pool area, decent food onsite and nearby. We had dinner at Grills and got to watch the Magic and other ships go by while eating outside on the deck, it was awesome, and only 5 mins from the Radisson. Rooms were spacious, I wasnt crazy about the sleep number beds, I find them more annoying than comfortable. But in summary I would definitely stay at the Radisson again for another cruise if I'm not at WDW beforehand. For this cruise I'm planning to stay in WDW for a few days first.

WOW!!! That does look nice...But I wonder how it compares to Costa Rica??? We want to do one of them, just not sure which is best...:confused3

I have the exact same question. The PV one sounds great, but I would like to be able to compare it to the Costa Rican one too. I might also like to see what else there is to do in both ports so that would aid in the decision too.

We've been staying at the Radisson before cruises for years. Great spot, terrific staff, lovely pool! Go to the lobby bar at night...the bartenders are a blast!

Gentle reminder:

If your information is not listed on the website tigfanjeff has made for us, please PM him so that you can be added onto the cruise list. Thanks!

We're ziplining in Costa Rica because we figured it might be a long time until we get there again. We'll be in PV in May on another cruise.

I have promised my horse obsessed daughter that I would try and take her horseback riding on the beach.

Does anyone know where that might be done? I was thinking Cabo.

This was my thought was well.

Does anyone have a zip line Costa Rica link?

I think you can at Cabo, but you are getting this from a guy who has zero interest in doing a excursion, let alone getting off the ship. I can't wait for the port days. I love having the ship to myself.

Very excited-just booked flight to Florida. Had enough credit card points to get 4 first class tickets through Alaska Airlines! Now just have to figure out what we are going to do between 7:16 am and when we can get on board. Any thoughts?

Where are you flying into? Its about an hour from MCO to the port. Last cruise, we drove from Kissimmee, leaving just after 12.00 - got to the ship about 1.15pm, checked in and walked straight on

Depending on how much time you want to kill...

You could head to Downtown Disney for a bit. If you want a half day activity, Gatorland is fun (old time Florida attraction style).

If the weather is nice, head to the coast and either hang out on the beach, or head to Kennedy Space Center. I think there is also a flight museum in Titusville area too.

I hear you on port days. Being the mean mommy that I am, I made my dh and dc get off the boat in Key West so I could have the boat "to myself"! :lmao:

That's not mean, that's smart.

I plan to go down to the port and stare at the ship untill they let me on board. :rotfl:

I have asked for, and my family has agreed to the following:

I will play with them on CC but once we get back on board mommy is going OFF DUTY, and dad is in charge. :thumbsup2

For the two days we are at sea they are to consider me MIA and not to expect any mommying to take place. :lmao:

I will reemerge from seclusion when we get to Aruba. :grouphug:

It's not really a vacation if I don't get sometime off for good behavior!

Congratulation!! DH and I tried to do this on Delta but they wanted the same number of points for a one-way as a round-trip. :confused3 I don't understand this stuff, so I emailed them and they said "its policy". Well isn't that nice. I just wanted to understand why? So much for Delta allowing flexibility with their points.

Get your rental car, collect your luggage, have something to eat, drive to cocoa Beach. Stop at the Manatee viewing park, just after you come down into cocoa, it's on the right. Visit Ron Jons. Dump family and luggage at port, return the rental car.
