Since we just joined how do I get on the master list on page one? I pm the person in charge of the FE so I think we are on that list. Anyone in charge of Secret Mickeys?

How does parking for a cruise like this work since we won't be coming back to the port on the ship? :confused3 We are hoping that family can drop us off at the port so we won't have to pay and leave the car there. Any idea what the price would be for leaving your car there for 16 days? I would imagine it's going to be pretty steep. :scared1:

Well, a four legged addition. We have a new lab 'puppy' - he is 8 months old. Walter (choc) and Tracker (the new golden).

Too cute! I love the picture of them both biting the stick :goodvibes

They carry around toys like that in the house too - amazes me as Walter and Briscoe had a fight (with Briscoe bloodied no less) after he got too close when Walter was chewing on a stick once. They really get along quite well - until old Walt gets tired of playing but his stamina has improved since Tracker appeared so that is good. They play will with puppy Chief too, so long as we keep it just one on one.

Hi there,

I am in charge of the SM.. please PM me your email address and I will send you the link to fill in your info.

You can send me your info now. You will not get your SM info until final payment is done and we confirm that no one is backing out.

You can do SM a couple of ways, as a cabin oveall, as a couple, as an individual or if you kids want to get in on the fun, they can have thier own SM while the adults have thier own. You just need to let me know how you want to do it.

How funny! I've never known dogs to do that! They don't usually share toys :) I've always heard that older dogs become more active if you bring a puppy or younger dog into the house. Maybe this will keep Walter younger longer :cool1:

For our newbies, WELCOME!! Also, please send a PM(private message) to TIGFANJEFF and he'll add you to the cruise website.

I have taken dry laundry out, folded it, and left it for it's owner before. Needed the dryer so I thought they wouldn't mind if it was folded nicely.

Met Webmaster Regina in the laundry on the ship one time. For some reason, I don't mind, at all, doing laundry while on the ship. I have found that 11:00 PM or later is a really good time!

Hi everyone!

I have sent the Secret Mikcey link to everyone who has sent me a PM asking for it.

If I have somehow missed you - please send me another PM and I will get you the info right away.

Thanks!

They share stuffed toys and ropes the same as that stick. Walter isn't that old - 4 maybe but he is much less the 'couch potato' that he was before Tracker's arrival.

Laundry - I don't actually mind either (too much anyway), if you gotta do it, you gotta do it - I am sure that I will have to do some at some point along the way. I am thinking that maybe the earlier in the trip will be easier to access the washers and dryers so I may plan on trying that theory out.

Wow, where is everyone tonight? Usually there are many more messages than this. Hope everyone is ok what with all the rain/snow/tornados around the country!

With all of this laundry talk, I thought of a question. Is the laundry area open 24/7? I am thinking of doing really late or really early. Anyone know?

We had Wheel of Fortune on tonight and they gave away a trip to Aruba. Wow! It looks beautiful. Can't wait to go there in January and I hope the other ports are just as spectacular.

I have heard of people not getting back in time to empty the machines when their load had finished. Its not rocket science to do that - the machines tell you how much longer they have on their cycle. If someone didn't empty their clothes after 10-15 minutes, I wouldn't have a problem taking them out for them. IMHO that is not unreasonable (of course the other person may have different ideas :confused3)

ok, not on the ship, but i live in a relatively upscale condo complex here in LA. sunday morning (mothers day!) i was trying to do laundry. we have 2 washers and 2 dryers on each floor, and i believe 16 units on each floor (all 2-3 bedrooms).

i put my 2 loads in the wash, which is a 31 minute cycle.

at that time, in the dryer, a load of clothes had finished being dried (you can tell b/c until you open the machine door, it reads that there are 0 minutes left of the cycle).

i came back 31 minutes later to put clothes in the dryer, but the load remained untouched. my clothes remained wet in the washer.

i left and came back about 10 minutes later. still there.

so u put one load in the dryer, and waited 20 whole minutes before i came back, and saw the clothes were STILL there. now, the clothes have been sitting in the dryer for at least an hour, untouched. so i pulled them out, left them on top of the dryer, and put my second load in.

about 15 minutes later, i heard the laundry room door SLAM shut, then the sound of a laundry basket hitting the tiled floor, so loud i would believe it was thrown down.

i think there was a VERY unhappy person. but you know what? those clothes were sitting in there, DONE, for no less than an hour. who knows how long before that they were actually done. and personally, i think an HOUR of waiting is more than fair.

but this person clearly didn't think so.

are there restricted hours on the washer and dryers? i'd go in at 11pm and do laundry, or when i have my nightly wake up at 3 am for an hour....is that possible or do they restrict times? i do not plan on bringing enough clothes for 17-20 days (we're arriving a day or 2 before but we'll probabably stay at DVC And do laundry the morning before they pick us up for the cruise) (and staying in LA a few days -i'd rather do laundry late on the ship than give up sightseeing time!!

i told you i'd do your laundry on the ship. and you're welcome to use our cheap machines at the apartment when you get to LA ($1.25 wash, $.50 dry for 40 min). tho we have restrictions, i think it's 8am-8pm.
