I know almost nothing about dining in Disney. I am going with my wife and kids( 2 girls 5 and 3) and my sisters family (12, 11, 9 and 8). She said get us some reservations for a character meal for the girls..... Of course as soon as I started looking I was completely overwhelmed to say the least. I we have several young girls so we thought the one with the princesses would be good (obviously very hard to book from what I have read so far).

so, what is the difference between Cindy's Royal Table and the Crystal Place meals? Different locations, characters? I don't seem to be able to find them.

If we can't get the breakfast are the princesses at any other meals all together? if so where?

finally if I can't get in any of these is there any good suggestions for breakfasts or other meals for 4 little girls making there first trips to Disney....

Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. Mickey is there and you can see the monorail come through the hotel while you are eating.

I do not know everything about that Magical place, but I know a few things. We went last year on our first trip.

You might want to try and eat breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. I have not eaten there, but I have a PS for our July trip. I have heard great things about it.

We ate at Chef Mickey's last year and it was wonderful. All of the characters were great. I think the characters were: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale and Donald. It was wonderful, oops I think I already said that, but we really enjoyed this place.

Another place that my DD and DS loved was Donald's Breakfastsaurus. The food was really good there and the characters were good also.

We went to Crystal's last year and we were not impressed. We had to wait almost 45 minutes for our PS and we arrived there 35 minutes early for our PS. We will not being going back to this place again. It was fun, but the wait kinda made it not so fun.

The Cinderella's Table is in the castle. It is a VERY tough priority seating to obtain. The princesses only show up at breakfast. If you really want to eat there, try lunch or dinner. You can still find many of the princesses in Toontown in the MK.

We love the Crystal Palace and eat there every visit. Pooh and friends hang out there. Chef Mickey's is also a favorite -- Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, Goofy, and Donald have been seen there. The 1900 Park Fare in the Grand FLoridian has Alice, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Gepetto, and Pinocchio at breakfast and Pooh at dinner time. ALso, the Garden Grille at the Land in Epcot has Mickey, Chip, and Dale at lunch/dinner . I believe the Animal Kingdom also has a character breakfast that includes Donald Duck. My kids have enjoyed all these character meals.

My advice is to buy an autograph book when you get to WDW. They can be found in the hotel gift shops and in each park. My kids love collecting the autographs of various characters.

My DD is 7 and these are the character meals she has liked so far:

Her favorite is at Hollywood and Vine at MGM and features Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Chip and Dale. We prefer the lunch, but that is because were aren't breakfast people.

She also enjoyed the character meal at Garden Grille with Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale in farmer garb. The whole dining room slowly revolves and you can see the Living with the Land ride from the lower tier. The food is good comfort food, served family style.

We haven't tried to get ressies for Cindy's yet, but are going to try for this October. Our backup plan is breakfast at 1900 Park Faire with Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter. The atmosphere is suitably "girly" and seeing the face characters is nice for a change.

The Crystal Palace is beautiful, but always crowded, and the characters don't get around as much as some of the other places.

We enjoyed the characters at LTT, but not the food or service.

Ditto to the above about Chef Mickey's.

Another suggestion would be the tea party at the Grand Floridian. I believe that it is hosted by Alice, and definitely suitable for girls and a nice way to take a break from the parks.
