And what are the options: walk, bus, boat?

I've got our room, plane tickets (4 RT tickets from Columbus for $323.20) and next on my list is the 7-day $85 (AAA) ticket deal, the Meal Deal and Sipper Cup Deal! :cool1:

you can either walk or take the boat...i highly recommend the walk if you dont mind the exercise because it's beautiful and has a great atmosphere...we hardly ever take the boat because we dont like waiting on it...oh and its about a 10-15 minute walk, but dont let that fool you!

From the RPR to Margaritaville it's 7 minutes walking at a regular pace.
If you're dragging kids or taking your time, I guess it would be 10 minutes to the gate of IOA. If you walk over to USF it will be 15.

I would also reccomend the boat. I made the mistakes several times when we were at RPR in Ocotber, thinking that I could walk faster then the boat and it prooved me wrong time and time again. It is about a 10 minute walk to IOA. The path makes several unecessary long turns that should have been re routed for a faster walk.

To each his own. I always beat the boat. Also, the boat isn't always there ready to go. And...if there is a thunder storm...no boats. I love the walk from the RPR.

Depends when we are going to the park or citywalk, if a boat is on its way to the dock as we are leaving the hotel,we would go and get it, if not we just walk ,as said takes about 7 minutes probably less if you walk a bit faster , and you can always have a breather at Margaritaville and a Bahama mama ,just to get you going again

Same here. The boats often aren't even at the dock when we are ready to leave. We usually walk, occasionally take the boat or the bus. It's an easy walk.

You can walk, take the boat from the dock near the pool area, or take the bus (which has a stop at the end of the walkway near the convention center). The bus is really handy for getting to US, since it's a bit farther than IOA.

Same here too...... Probably takes us 7 min to where the path ends at Margaritaville, another 3 min to IOA, 5 more to US. When we've split our party, the ones walking are usually walking the bridge that crosses the water about the time the boat is aproaching. Those walking will be at the IOA gate bore the others are getting off the boat.

Thanks for the replies! :thumbsup2

I think if the boat is ready to load then we'll take the boat. Our boys would enjoy the ride. Otherwise, we'll just walk. We don't mind walking as long as it's a nice walk - landscaped, paved, etc. If it was a long boring through a parking lot then I'd have to nix walking.

Thanks again!!
