I was just wondering if anyone normally gets a rental car, but has decided to use Disney tranporation recently. My DH and I have for the past three years rented a car. I was trying to save some money this year and thought about not gettting one. Also, I will be there for a second week for training for work, and I don't want to pay for that second week. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!!

Two weeks in Disney - even if it is for work!! :cloud9:

What time of year you are going has a lot to do with the crowds at the bus lines. If you are planning any dinners at other hotels and you do what to do connecting buses you can take an occasional taxi. We've always rented a car as well, our last trip we down sized to a smaller car and packed light. We saved on the rental and our backs and still went home with some clean clothes.

after over 15 years of rental cars at WDW, we've become ME lovers

just the ease of luggage retrieval at MCO (none with ME!!), was enough to convince us! then no lines at the car rental counters, tolls, etc.....
we'll prob get a car at the dolphin for 2 days of outlet shopping, etc (we're staying at the BWV), but will leave the stress & hassle of renting a car at MCO behind us for as long as ME is available.

Every time that we have tried using Disney Transportation (other than taking the monorail from the MK to Epcot and visaversa) we have been sorry that we did. ::yes:: Even last fall when we took the boat from the MK to FW for the HDDR. Getting there was OK. But coming back was NUTS! It was evening EMH at the MK and the line for the boat was so long. We were in line for over an hour. Then a nice storm blew up. We ended up taking a boat to the Comtemporary and taking the monorail to the MK.

We are NOT Disney Transportation fans.
