From Port to Hotel in Barcelona...Transportation

You will not be disappointed with Barcelona Day tours. We used them for a semi-private Montserrat post cruise tour with drop off at our Barcelona hotel after our 2014 EBTA. Excellent experience. We booked them again this past June for a private half day Montserrat Tour with pick up from the airport and drop off at our Barcelona apartment after the tour. We chose to do Monserrat again because my husband wasn't with us in 2014 and because our overnight flight got in at about 8:00. Light hiking through Monserrat was an excellent way to combat jet leg, the fresh air and activity really helped us adjust. This is where their excellent service and experience become important, our flight was delayed about an hour plus passport control in the BCN airport was horrendous, spent about another 45 mins getting through. I called to let them know of our delays and they were already aware of the flight delay plus the longer than average waits at passport control. Told us to call once we grabbed our luggage and they would tell us where to meet our driver/guide. So a bit more than two hours late and they were on top of it. Our driver/guide was fantastic. So impressed, he easily kept 3 tired and cranky teenage girls engaged during the tour.

I have been in email conversations this week with the Barcelona Day Tours company mentioned above -- and their response time and patience with questions is amazing. I will be using them for both our transportation and excursions while in Barcelona.

I agree. I also have been in contact with them and their response and genuine courtesy was evident.

Sadly their semi private tour doesn't jive with our plans but I may do a private tour with them for the afternoon.

Great, we used them also for a semi-private tour for one day and we did the hop on bus the next day.

There are two different companies that do HoHo - and they both leave from Plaza Cataluna. They each have two routes as well - from what I could tell they basically duplicate each other, so it's whichever you want to do. I think they're around the same price - I bought my ticket at my hotel, so it was whichever of the two they partner with.

I did enjoy it as I mainly just wanted an easy overview of the city my first day knowing I had a couple of in depth private walking tours through Rainbow Barcelona (cannot recommend them highly enough, especially as a solo traveler or just two people (much more reasonable in pricing that BDT) - but you have be comfy with LGBTQ people if you're going through them) next day.
