I am all over the place and just cant decide!! lol Opinions please!! We are traveling to disney June 2017 for 8 nights. It is myself, my 12 yr old daughter, my 30 yr old son and 5 and 6 yr old granddaughters. We were originally booked at POR. which is a resort I do love. But after staying at SSR(which I really enjoyed) this past Oct I decided we needed to upgrade to at least have a kitchenette. So I started looking and could not decide between WLV and BCV. I REALLY wanted to stay at the WL. I REALLY liked the idea of being that close to MK!! But with all the construction and areas closed I was hesitant. (BCV is really at the top of our budget for this trip so Poly was not a consideration.)
So tonight I switched to BCV. But I am really questioning my decision and it is subject to change Opinions...thoughts??? What do you like about one vs the other? What dont you like??
TIA!!!

I would stay at bcv if you can afford it. The extra room, kitchen is worth it

We will be in a studio. So basically just a wet bar I believe similar to AoA.

You will be very tight in a studio Villa. Other than OKW, there is only 1 real bed. The studio will have a Queen bed, a double sleep sofa and a small pull down bed under the TV. One of the little Grandchildren will need to be in that. With all of the sleep spaces open at night there will be hardly any room to move.
The kitchenette is a small refrig, a small sink, a toaster, a coffee maker and a small microwave.
If you are only needing to decide between BCV and VWL I would stay with BCV. At that time of year you all will enjoy SAB - it is a wonderful pool
Good Luck

Im ok with the sleeping arrangements :) I slept for a week on the pull out couch at AoA and it really didnt bother me. I really dont want to spend any more than we are and so this is probably our best option. We were previously booked at POR which is two actual beds but lacks the added space of a sink and the toaster.
I have never been this undecided about where to stay.

AoA has more room when the couch is open than a BCV Studio.

We've stayed at both VWL an BCV and we really prefer BCV. VWL was beautiful, but I found the transportation to not be that great. While the boat to MK was lovely, when we were there, WL/VWL was sharing buses with Ft. W and it took forever to get to the other parks. With BCV, you get the convenience of walking to EP and DHS (or taking the boat), plus a TON of restaurant options within walking distance of the resort. Plus, with the construction going on, I guess you really won't know what you will be walking in to when it's time for your trip. If you really want a deluxe villa, I would stick with BCV.

Dont the buses at BCV stop at other resorts also?

Once Upon a Time, a Long Time Ago, BC buses shared with the BWI, Swan, Dolphin and YC. This has not been true for many years. They now share only with YC. I have not found that to be a problem at all.

Yes, exactly, plus YC/BC are right next to each other. You aren't driving to a whole other resort like you are with WL and Ft. W. Look at it this way:

VWL Transportation:
Boat to MK
Bus to AK, EP, DHS

BCV Transportation:
Walk to EP (literally, right next door, you can't get any closer!)
Walk or boat to DHS
Bus to AK

For us, the transportation at the EP resorts plus the super easy restaurant access to all EP resorts PLUS EP WS will always trump staying at VWL.

We ended up switching to VWL. My son really liked the splash area at WL and with the girls only being 5 he felt the large pool area might be too much for them. My granddaughter really loved the splash area when we stayed at AoA. This trip is all about the littles so I went ahead and switched. Might try BCV on our next adult trip unless we only have 4 going and then it's AKL all the way!! Wishing we could do that one this trip but just a little pricey for us having 5
