:wave:Wanted to come out of lurkdome and say that I have been enjoying your tr. I read some of the May tr as well. Memom, you take wonderful pictures- truly feel like I am there right along with you. Jill, your girls are such cuties.:cutie: How lucky you both are to go to WDW so many times.

I have to say because of your trips it has put Pop Century first on my value resort list and we will be staying there for our first night in october. Can't wait, I do think my kiddos will love it there! I know you are going in October as well, what are your dates?

If you would like to meet my family, please check out the link in my signature.:goodvibes

Looks like a great morning at Magic Kingdom! I love rope drop for that reason! So much is accomplished so quickly! I am impressed that you guys were able to get to the fairies and to Mickey with such a short wait!

Brooklynn is a champ of a big sister doing her thing and letting people fawn over Bella. Such a grown up girl!

Hi MeMom!
I just caught up with your trip report. I haven't been on in almost a week because I just started school last week & I'm catching up on a bunch of TR's, including my own.

Fantasyland & Buzz Lightyear look empty! I love MK at rope drop. :goodvibes

Isn't rope drop wonderful?! :yay: And the pics of an empty park, so lovely. Love the pics with Minnie and Mickey!:flower3:

Of course you were recognized as a Dis celebrity! :thumbsup2 What did John think when you told him? My dh would have just laughed :lmao: and rolled his eyes.

So do we, which is why rope drop is so worth it.
You may only share this information with DIS friends, though.
If the rest of the world finds out about it, we could be in trouble. ;)

Oh yeah...I'm definitely a rope drop type of girl! :goodvibes Clay and the girls...not so much! You are so right about getting so much done in that first hour or two when doing rope drop.

:thumbsup2 I do you believe you have the green light. We will all back you up if he asks. ::yes::

It's unanimous then!  Good to know ya'll got my back! LOL Heck...I was planning another trip in two years anyway.   But, I was looking at it being more of a girls only trip for Hannah's 10th birthday. Since her birthday is in June and Clay has sworn he will never go back to WDW in June I figured it'd be the perfect time to do a trip with just me, Hannah, Alison, Katie and Madison. We'll see how that turns out!

Rope drop is the bestest! Empty park and the whole day in front of you.

Wonderful pictures with Mickey and Minnie!

Brooklynn really is a great big sister. I know it's hard to be that patient.

The park was so empty, even for rope drop! Folks must've enjoyed the 3rd a bit too much and needed to sleep in!

The girls look adorable, as usual. That CM was one of the ones that opened ToonTown for us but I think it was April, not June.

Hope you are having a great Sunday! It's beautiful here. It's a shame that the weekends go by so quickly!

Wow the park was super empty for both Rope Drop and the 4th of July! Very cool! :thumbsup2

I love the family pic with Mickey and Minnie...very cute! :goodvibes

Jill ~ I love your story about being recognized from the DIS!!! :)

We took Caleb to our county fair last night. It was his first time ever at the fair and really his first time riding the rides anywhere since when we were in Disney he slept most of the time...so he missed out on a lot of rides.

While we were meeting up with one of my friends he got to sit on the mow-mow (a John Deere lawnmower--my nephew always called them mow-mows so thats what they are now! )

He first went down the big slide with daddy! He loved it and was squealing the whole way down and just had the biggest grin.

Next he went on the cars ride. This ride lasted a really long time...at least a couple of minutes. I was really impressed because normally they are just getting the kids on and off of there. He really loved this ride and I was afraid the tears would come when it was time to get off but there were none!

Then he went on the mini ferris wheel for kids under 42". He was riding by himself but ended up in the same car as my best friends (who was not there-stuck at home as nurse on call last night) niece and nephew by complete accident.

Then he went on the little kids rollar coaster. Probably a little smaller than the one in town town! The carnie asked me when I took him up there if this was his first time! I said yes. He told me that he would not stop the ride if he was scared and there were tears! My friend assured me her kids went on there at this age and were fine! I told him it would be ok. Caleb got on the ride with my friends little boy since he would not ride by himself because he was under 42". I have no pictures because the ride went around too fast and I only had my cell phone camera at that time. DH went to go park the stroller and it had my camera in it! His expression was pricesless! He never cried but he just had this shocked expression on his face as to what was he doing?

We left the fair after that because it was getting so crowded and with a stroller it was not worth fighting the crowds. We all had a good time and Caleb went straight to sleep once we got home!

Wow..you guys had a quiet MK morning! Loving the no crowds! :thumbsup2

And you guys were at the Toontown rope drop..how awesome! Goldfish are a good, easy snack!

I loved your pics from around the big tent. That place will be just a memory before too long. :guilty:

Great pictures! I can't believe how empty it is!

Jill or MeMom- What time are you arriving at ToonTown to make it for Rope Drop? My DD3 and I will be arriving at RD at Magic Kingdom on October 19 and hope to do Dumbo, Peter Pan, and Pooh before going over to meet Tink. Do you think we will have time to get that in and still make the RD? Thanks so much!

On mornings when they have extra magic hours you can very easily do it. On days when MK opens at 9:00 Toon Town opens at 10:00. We can do Dumbo, Peter Pan, and Pooh(or Buzz) and be over to the rope between 9:30 and 9:45. I would say get there no later than 9:45 because sometimes they drop the rope early and sometimes Goofy is there and picks a kid to ride Barnstormer with or Mickey and Minnie pick a family of the day to open that part of the park.

All is well. Busy. Not much DIS time during the week any more.
We had fun at the meet.

Is your computer back up and running?

I feel the same way, if I get 20 mins in before bed at night, that's a lot. My computer is up and running again so I'm hoping I won't fall so behind again. I don't want everyone to think I'm abandoning their reports!

I love all the pics of Toontown, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland empty! Seeing the Buzz queue with no people in it is a rare thing!

Brooklynn is such a good girl and big sister :thumbsup2

Welcome! Glad you are enjoying our craziness. We love Pop and claim it as our home away from home. We will be there for a short trip. Our dates are October 15th (late night) through October 19th. Heading over to your PTR in just a minute.

Back to fill in with my pics and video.

A ride on Dumbo (John keeps our room super cold so when I opened my camera in the heat I get a foggy lens.)

Brooklynn is excited to be in charge of Dumbo's flight.

Brooklynn got to open ToonTown. Video of ToonTown opening

We then walked to the County Bounty Tent. If you have ever seen my daughter walk with purpose, her hair swings back and forth. These pictures are evidence of just how high.

Back in a bit with more video and pics.

Awwww...how cute are the girls with the fairies!! YAY for being able to open up ToonTown!!!

OOOH pictures of the construction, looks like they are getting started! It will be interesting to see the different stages of construction!!

How fun! Brooklynn did an amazing job opening Toontown, so good at listening to what she needed to do and doing it just right!

I love the hair flip as she walks! She is a smart cookie -- no one should get to the fairies before she opens things up.

Looks like great interaction with the fairies! I want to go meet them but I have some boys who think otherwise. ;) In a few years... it's all over!

Awwww, Brooklynn! You should be a Junior CM! I think you could open up Toon Town all on your own!!!
The videos were so cute, I could have watched them all evening long...

Watching the videos made me cry...how cute are the girls meeting everyone! I love Bella looking around with her nuk! So cute!
Great pics of FL expansion! Yaaa!

ETA: I forgot to mention being able to "open toontown"....what a great experience!!!

Brooklynn did a fabulous job opening Toon Town. She's a real pro.

The videos are so cute.

Love the low crowds. The girls' fourth of July outfits are too cute.
What time did you get to TT and what time did the rope drop?
