I liked it because it had all four parks and so many characters.
I have my share too but I do have to admit when I go in my son's room and see Skippy along with a couple others I do have to smile.
That's when he is still my little boy. Instead of the sometimes challenging teenager he can be. For the most part he is easier now than then but I still miss it .... sometimes.
Teenagers are not always fun. There are some tough days. I like my grown-up kids a lot, so I don't 'mourn' their childhood, but Drew was my toughest one, and I would like to go back and try again with him. I will say that if I could go back to when he was in his Matchbox-car-rolling, tree-climbing, hair-in-a-bowl-cut days and start over, I would take that opportunity.
I wanted to buy that sweatshirt but it was somewhere around $50. I really wanted it but I couldn't justify spending that much on it.
I don't like it either, but my mom loves it. Since it was closed last year, I was able to sit through it once this year I finally convinced my mom I was old enough to walk around Frontierland while she saw it alone, so we did that later in the trip. I went to get Thunder Mountain fastpasses while she was there
Enjoy your last few days of freedom! My first day of school is August 30. Two days after I get back from Vermont August 30 is really early for us. I have no idea why we start school so early now. We always used to start after Labor Day
Our Vermont plans keep changing Now Jeremy isn't coming. I think. But Josh is. I think. Honestly, we probably won't know until they actually show up at the cabins. But I'm 99% sure that Josh is coming. My cousin Sarah may or may not be coming for one of the two weeks. Which week? I have no idea. As you can see, we're very strict planners.
Whoever shows up, I am sure you will have a good time.
We used to start after Labor Day here, too, but it got earlier and earlier. This year, it's later than last year, though. I'm not sure how they decide.
I've seen Disney hoodies I'd like to have, too, but they are expensive. I have one Epcot one I got several years ago.
That puzzle had to have taken a little time. Those pieces are small!
Nice work MeMom!
We had an afternoon of thunderstorms, so I worked the puzzle to the sound of thunder and rain. I haven't worked a puzzle in a long time, so it was just a fun little rainy day activity. I think it has 500 pieces. I'll probably keep it up to show Brooklynn next weekend.
Cool puzzle!
I also liked the Bella in a bag pic! Too cute! I'm not totally caught up, but I'm working on it!
We're at a slow point, so maybe you will catch up.
Jill had some Bella in a bag video on FB, too, I think.
Love the puzzel!
Just wanted to let you know I will be in Memphis tomorrow and will be making a whip through the
Disney Store is there anything you want me to look for or anything you need?
I may not have time to get on here in the morning so if you do want something just text me.
Have a great weekend!
Just pictures of anything, if you aren't too shy to take them. We'd love a visit to a Disney Store by way of pictures.
I love that puzzle. We bought it last year, and it has been enjoyed lots of days! I thought of you as I brought in my popcorn container for my desk pens at school today. While I ended up with a container from DTD rather than the parks, it is still perfect for my desk!
I think my Toy Story Midway Mania popcorn bucket will be on my desk this year, since I have a Toy Story bulletin board. Although I am never ready to start back to school, two things make it easier: knowing I don't have to do TCAP any more and having my Disney touches
I will also enjoy using the Kooky pens you sent!
That was such an unexpected and sweet gift.
My students will like seeing them.
********************************
We hope you all have a beautiful day wherever you are. This is truly my last day of official summer vacation, not including the weekend. Meetings start Monday. Some of you started those this week, I know.
'Our' little DIS kid,
Hollie, starts school this morning.
We all know she will love school, make so many friends, and have such great times!
Some of you are on your way to Disney World. Some of you are not far behind.
DIS babies are growing and reaching new milestones all over this country and across the ocean. DIS kids are enjoying the last waterslides and popsicles of the summer. DIS friends are going to work in different jobs all over the world. It's nice to be able to come together here and share our ups and downs, aches and pains, celebrations, trials, ideas, worries, successes, and our love for Disney things.
Have a good day, friends!
