Thanks so much for posting those parade pictures this morning. A Disney parade never fails to bring a smile to my face :goodvibes

Glad to hear you had such a nice birthday!

Alright let's get caught up with the addition of my pictures and the video.

The face of innocence (or something like that!)

IMG_8099.jpg

When we were in Downtown on our way to OKW Brooklynn picked out her lanyard to use for pintrading. Magicshell had given her a Ziploc bag of pins to trade when we met in Memphis. She really enjoyed it and was very careful about picking out ones to trade for.

Bella getting her haircut covered in stickers and eating those magic goldfish.

We met the princesses. MeMom took video. Here it is.

Brooklynn and Bellarie meet the princesses.

Brooklynn wanted to ride Barnstormer afterwards so John and I took her and she sat with me. As soon as it was over she said she wanted to ride with MeMom. Here is the video. You can hear her squeals.

Brooklynn rides Barnstormer

I took a picture as they finished up.

When she got off she wanted to ride with John. He told her he rode the first time and she said no she wanted to sit with him. So here we go for the third time in a row.

Here is video from Brooklynn riding the teacups.

Brooklynn spins and spins and spins

And MeMom took video from the parade.

They are really cute books! We have enjoyed reading them here! We have fun in the parks saying, "Do you remember when...?" and referencing the books. You know there are actually three altogether. :thumbsup2

Ridley Pearson is going to be at the Decatur Book Festival here in Atlanta Labor Day weekend -- Connor and I are very excited about that! :goodvibes

I enjoyed reading these too! Now I'm re-reading the first one to Hannah as her bedtime story. Just about finished with the first book and will be starting the second one soon. I need to make her start reading on her own...been very slack about having her keep up with reading over the summer, although I have "caught" her reading a few books. I guess I we both just like the bed time ritual of me reading to her. Once in a while she'll read a book to me and then I'll read "our" book. Probably should enjoy it while she still wants me to do it.

She and Clay are currently playing Monopoly so she's at least working on her money and math skills!

How cool that Ridley Pearson is going to be in Atlanta! I would love to meet him and have him sign a book. That's the weekend Hannah and I are going to see Mary Poppins.  Wonder if he's going to come to North Carolina?

I am in the middle of the third one now and loving it! This one is 500+ pages so I am trying to read it when I can. I hear there is a 4th book coming out in April. :)

A 4th book would be cool! Will have to keep a look out for that. I'd like to read the other books he and Dave Barry wrote after the Peter and the Starcatchers books.

I just finished reading "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and am just about finished with "The Girl who played with Fire". The writing isn't all that...alot of which is probably due to translation from Swedish to English...but they're good reads.

Loved the parade pics! The picture of Ariel and Eric made me laugh. Ariel looks like she's in church testifyin'!

A 4th Kingdom Keepers? :faint: I don't want to spoil anything for you but the third one definitely hinted at a fourth, so that is super exciting!

I love the parade pictures, MeMom. I watched that parade in February but I don't think I took a lot of pictures, so that is a really nice way to relive it!

Fantastic parade pictures MeMom, makes me feel like I was right there watching it with you :goodvibes

Seeing that video of Brooklyn on the teacups made me dizzy

It's been on my list for the last couple of trips to see the 3:00 MK parade. Maybe in November when it won't be too hot.
Princess and the Frog was on this morning at my house, and I couldn't help but think of you every time your man came on.:goodvibes
Sounds like a great weekend.

first off, i know i already told you this on facebook (and on time) but i had to say it here too....

thHappyBirthdayPoog.jpg

hope it was a great one!!!!

i've been soooooooo busy with work lately and am trying to get caught up. i think this is the first time i've been on the boards in like 4 days. :scared1:

i absolutely adore this shirt! so cute.

Jill doesn't care much for Hall of Presidents, so since I was alone, I took the opportunity to see it.

ray and i did it in 2008 and i will say it was a nice place for a cool nap. hope you enjoyed it though. ;)

I chose a root beer float.

good choice. one of my favorites and you really can't go wrong!

Peter, Wendy, Alice, and Mad Hatter.

Summer2010PoptotheTop2011.jpg

now that's my kinda parade float! (minus wendy.)

If you haven't signed up for your place in DIStown, you better get moving. If you know what I am talking about, you have probably already claimed your spot. :rotfl: I think we should elect Shocker as mayor while he's not around. :thumbsup2

i'm lost. please do tell. popcorn::

Here is video from Brooklynn riding the teacups.

Brooklynn spins and spins and spins

you can just see how much fun spinning and laughing and spinning in a teacup is through brooklynn's sweet little face! :goodvibes

Coming over to say hi :wave2: and getting caught up. I have been a very bad lurker lately, when I promised I was going to post more!! I am loving all your shopping pictures and getting excited for our September trip! :cheer2:

Anyway, I wanted to wish MeMom a belated :bday: Hope you had a wonderful day with your family! We share a special day- my anniversary is on your birthday!

I just edited a post in my TR to send readers over here if they want to see all the delightful photos you took!!!!! I didn't get hardly any! But your vantage was much better!!! So nice to remind myself this morning!!!! I love a good parade when everyone else in the house is still asleep!!!

Enjoy your Sunday, too!

So glad you enjoyed the parade. I loved seeing it again. Sometimes it is good for me to see a parade without the girls, because when they are with me, I spend a lot of time watching their faces. When I am alone, I focus on the parade. Seeing the same parade twice - once for pictures and once to watch the girls - that's the best of both worlds. :)

Glad to hear your having a great Birthday weekend

Nice Parade pictures ! The colors are very pretty .

Love the close-up of Miss Piggy & Kermit

I was happy to get a few decent close-ups. Miss Piggy and Kermit are getting much attention these days with all the Voluntears publicity.

So glad you are having a good Birthday weekend.

Main Street looks very snazzy in the red, white & blue.

It did look very 'hometowny', I thought. Next time we see it, it will be dressed in orange. You have five Mondays, and we have ten! :cool1:

Thanks Memom for the parade pics this morning!

We are celebrating today .... it's packing DAY 1 at our house ....(us dancing and packing)

I only have one more day off before we leave so I have to get as much done today as possible.

Last Sunday we dug the suitcases out of hybernation and have let them air out all week.
I sprayed them with lovely Lysol and now they smell fresh.
Lexi has adorned them with various Character keychains that we have collected over the years.

Oh I forgot .... we got the Disney mail envelope not once but TWICE this week!!!!!
My DMom said "they must know you really want to go this time!"

I got two new tires put on the car on Friday.
The alignment is off and caused uneven wear, so better to be safe I replaced them.

Lexi and I made the Mousekeeping envelopes last Sunday. We kinda got carried away and made more than we needed... OOps!
Do you think the housekeepers at non-Disney hotels would like "fancy" envelopes too?

I booked our hotel for the drive back home and guess what ... they have a Red Robin!! Whoot! Whoo!
No mystery where I will be eating.

I've been working alot of extra hours lately, lots of double shifts too. I have missed the DIS so much.

I really wish I could DIS at work. When I get back I may subscribe to a mobile internet service so that I can take my laptop anywhere. (mainly for DISing on my lunch break of course)

I saw last night that they have extended the Electrical Parade! I'm so excitted!
Can't wait to tell Lexi when she wakes up.

These are definitely exciting times at your house! :dance3:

I'm glad you will get to see MSEP.

I sure am glad I can Dis at school. As soon as I get my students off to Art/P.E./Music and do my errands (making copies, etc.), I close my door and transport myself far away from school. ::yes:: It absolutely helps me get through the day with a better frame of mind. I don't get bogged down in work and negativity, but I find a picture (I can see some of them, but nothing on photobucket) or a funny story or read about someone who is about to leave to go on their trip, and any of those things just make me happy for the rest of the day. :)

Loving the early Sunday morning parade. I never seem to catch the 3pm parade. That may be a must do for Oct. With my DS in Sept it is all ride, ride, ride.

Yeah, he will be happy about the short lines during parade time. :thumbsup2

Good to know about the 64-pack of Crayons and keeping a toddler happy!

Jill, how are you liking The Kingdom Keepers?

What a great parade! You always get such great pictures of them!

Yes, the crayons were a big hit. She never tried to put one of them in her mouth, either, which was a little surprising.

Yesterday's 'toy' was the picnic table. She loves to climb, so she scaled it numerous times. We finally just had to make her stay down, because she kept walking over to the edge and smiling. Little devil! :cutie:

Love the parade pics! Hmmmm, Snow *did* pick a good one!

Not to be ugly, but sometimes the handsome princes they choose are really not all that handsome. I like it when they really are handsome, because that's a pretty major requirement for a Disney Prince, don't you think?

They are really cute books! We have enjoyed reading them here! We have fun in the parks saying, "Do you remember when...?" and referencing the books. You know there are actually three altogether.

Ridley Pearson is going to be at the Decatur Book Festival here in Atlanta Labor Day weekend -- Connor and I are very excited about that!

It's nice that you and Connor have a fun event to look forward to. :goodvibes

Sounds like you're having a wonderful weekend.

Main Street looks so festive in red, white and blue.

Wonderful shots of the parade. I haven't caught this one yet, not since 2007. I do like all the bright colors and varied characters. You had a great spot for watching.

Parades are just so great for being able to see so many characters in a short time. You don't get personal time with them or anything, but just seeing them waving and dancing is fun enough for me. I'm not into autographs, so parades work for me.

I am in the middle of the third one now and loving it! This one is 500+ pages so I am trying to read it when I can. I hear there is a 4th book coming out in April.

Now that she has read one, I imagine she'll read the others.

Hope you had a wonderful birthday!
The parade photos were the perfect way to start my day. I wish I could transport myself to Main Street right now

I feel the same way so often. I will see someone's Epcot pictures, and I can just jump right into them and hear the music and smell the aromas of that area. (And feel the heat coming up off the blacktop.) I love taking pictures that capture the moment and sharing and reliving them with DIS friends.

I'm so glad you're enjoying a fun birthday weekend!

Terrific pictures of the parade. I've never really been a parade person - or didn't think I was- but on my last trip I caught one "by accident" and really liked it. I will have to try to check more of them out.

Thanks for the good Kingdom Keepers reviews. Those are on my reading list.

Safe travels back home, Jill.

She did make it home safely. We went by my school to put up Philharmagic Mickey and try to find my Scrabble tiles. They are in a bag somewhere between school and home, but for the life of me, I cannot find them!

If you haven't seen the Jammin' Jungle parade at Animal Kingdom, try that one. It's one of my favorites.

Of course, whichever parade I am watching at the time is my favorite. ;)

I totally agree with this sentiment!! Beth and I created our touring plan to insure we would be able to see each and every parade and nighttime entertainment. Shelby doesn't quite have the same fondness as me and she skipped some of them but didn't complain about my desire to make sure I fit all of them in. I can't wait to see your pics of ELP since I may never get the chance to see it in person!

I saw MSEP one time, and Poolrat was watching it at the same time, so between Jill's pictures from earlier in the week, mine from the last night, and Poolrat's, maybe you can enjoy it as much as possible. Looks like they are extending it, though, if you have another trip planned....

The perfect pick me up after kitchen duty this morning! "I Love a Parade"
That and the latest installment of Distown.

What a great evening with all the girls content and you just enjoying them!

Heading up to school today with Woody, Jessie, and Bullseye to Saddle Up and Read Buckaroo!
The rest of my Toy Story family is sadly getting left at home...
for now.

I will look forward to seeing your bulletin board. I know it is cute!

Yes, we just had a quiet, enjoyable weekend doing nothing. :)

Thanks so much for posting those parade pictures this morning. A Disney parade never fails to bring a smile to my face

Glad to hear you had such a nice birthday!

I hope you and Jake will be enjoying parades together again soon. When is your next trip? Maybe for his third birthday? :)

Love all the parade pictures this morning.

Glad you are having a great birthday weekend too

It was nice. I really am glad I have a summer birthday, because truthfully, just not being at school is a gift within itself. I am hoping to be in Disney World next year on my birthday, if the school and church camp calendars cooperate.

I guess I we both just like the bed time ritual of me reading to her. Once in a while she'll read a book to me and then I'll read "our" book. Probably should enjoy it while she still wants me to do it.

She and Clay are currently playing Monopoly so she's at least working on her money and math skills!

That's the weekend Hannah and I are going to see Mary Poppins.

Yep, enjoying reading with her while you can. Somewhere in the growing up years, that disappears, and you don't even realize you have read that last bedtime story.

Mary Poppins will be fun! :yay:

Loved the parade pics! The picture of Ariel and Eric made me laugh. Ariel looks like she's in church testifyin'!

I guess she was singing. I noticed the drama, as well, when I posted the picture.

Great videos, Jill! Brooklynn sure looked like she had a great time on the teacups!

She did. She enjoyed this whole trip. She was at a great age to really be into everything.

I love the parade pictures, MeMom. I watched that parade in February but I don't think I took a lot of pictures, so that is a really nice way to relive it!

I even youtube parades sometimes, just to really relive them. Brooklynn loves youtube, so we do that a little almost every time we are together.

Fantastic parade pictures MeMom, makes me feel like I was right there watching it with you

Seeing that video of Brooklyn on the teacups made me dizzy

I told her not to spin fast, and she just laughed and said, "Yes, I am!" Luckily, it's a little too hard for her to do much spinning on her own, and I wasn't helping her in the cause.

It's been on my list for the last couple of trips to see the 3:00 MK parade. Maybe in November when it won't be too hot.
Princess and the Frog was on this morning at my house, and I couldn't help but think of you every time your man came on.
Sounds like a great weekend.

Our movies for the weekend were Bambi and Pete's Dragon. She also likes a Mickey's Halloween Sing-Along one, and she watches it no matter the season!

first off, i know i already told you this on facebook (and on time) but i had to say it here too....

She did enjoy the Teacups. :goodvibes

Go over to Wigd/Shocker's report for info on DIStown.
It all started with a casserole.
And a surgery.
And a broken shoulder.
And a dog.
And a Disney trip.

The reason the CM's make people stay on the sidewalk is so people like you won't push people like Wendy off the floats! :rotfl:

Seth's room looks cute. He will be here to enjoy it very soon.

Coming over to say hi :wave2: and getting caught up. I have been a very bad lurker lately, when I promised I was going to post more!! I am loving all your shopping pictures and getting excited for our September trip!

Anyway, I wanted to wish MeMom a belated :bday: Hope you had a wonderful day with your family! We share a special day- my anniversary is on your birthday!

I am so glad there are people who can go in late August and September. With everyone back in school in September, I think that would be an awesome time to go. I won't be able to do that until I retire, however, since it is too close to the beginning of the year.

Happy Anniversary! How many years?

Great pics of the parade!! I just love seeing all the characters this hot Monday morning. Love the pictures of Brooklyn too. My Cooper is going today for Popsicles on the playground at his new school. I am about to cry that my baby is starting preschool soon.

Ok, caught up again!! I love the new changes to the parade! So fun! Glad to hear Brooklynn did so well with the pin trading! I am thinking of getting the boys into it this year.

I also just found out that a new Disney store opened up 5 miles from my mom and dad's house! I am headed there at the end of the month. I'll be back with photos!!!

Owen and I enjoyed the parade pictures! He tells me he will get his picture taken with Minnie next trip! We'll see!

Loved the videos...the girls with the princesses were so sweet!

I'm off to enjoy my last day before I drag myself to school to start working. :teacher: Trying to hype myself up for it, but it's not really working.

I love Brooklynn's pink lanyard. I hope she had a lot of fun pin trading, I know I do. I liked your parade pictures. Parades are fun, but they are not something I have to do. I did love the Stars and Motor Cars parade at DHS, but I am not too fond of the new one.

The parade pictures were wonderful! Can you believe I never stopped for that one??? You've made me think that for my next trip, I need to stop and watch it all the way through. It definitely looks magical!!!

Great parade pictures! We watched this parade in May, and I thought it was really cute.
