I've made it to Florida! I arrived yesterday around 6:00 and there was complete chaos because my phone got messed up. Then there was a bunch of car drama with my friend who picked me up from the airport and I didn't get to my Dad's house til 5 in the morning. I miss my boyfriend but happy to be with my family and can't wait to meet you all on Thursday.

I'll talk to you and Jill on facebook if my phone doesn't start working. ( i hope it gets fixed though.)

I'm here too!!

Love the pics from 2005. LOVE the pic of Brooklynn on IASW!!:cutie:

I will be thinking of you at DW while it is one of our busiest weeks of the year at work:scared1:.

Love the pics!! I am with you on never feeling like I see the WS enough! Even when we spend tons of time there, every time we go back I always have a list in my head of a million things I want to see and do, and by the time we have to leave I feel like i've barely done any of it! I swear I need to plan a WS only trip or something!

Plans as of today:

June 30 - arrive at Pop Century very late at night and go straight to bed

July 1 - Trent is coming to get Jill sometime in the morning for a grocery run. Probably Jill, John, and Trent will do that, and the girls and I will go down to the kiddie pool. The middle of the day is whatever Jill wants it to be, then a nap before we go to Old Key West at 4:00 for a DIS meet. If you are going to be a part of this -stace208, *dreamit*doit*, and dancin_princess, we are looking forward to seeing you there! :dance3:

July 2 - Jill, Brooklynn, and I are going to have a big girl morning at 1900 Park Fare. We have never been there, and we thought it would be nice to have a special morning where Brooklynn could be the center of our attention. The tentative plan is that John will then meet us at Magic Kingdom with Bella and we will go ride rides. We will have another DIS meet that day with momof2TNboys. We will possibly be meeting up with snowbell before she goes into her Chefs de France ADR in the evening. If not, we will meet up with her tomorrow.

July 3 - Jill's choice. Meet up with snowbell at Magic Kingdom if we didn't hook up last night.

July 4 - Chef Mickey's breakfast at 10:35 (I think, or somewhere close to that). After that, we are going to Epcot, as Voices of Liberty and the Drum and Fife group will be doing a special show three times that day. We're going for the 12:30 show. I am planning to meet Debbie from the Be Our Guest Podcast there. That evening, we will be enjoying fireworks with Wigd and Shocker somewhere.

July 5 - Family Day - Trent is taking off, so we'll do whatever he wants to do with the girls. This will be the day that he and we can focus just on being together again for a while.

July 6 - Probably an Epcot day, since Jill and John have a LeCellier afternoon ADR. DIS meet with jeremysdisneymom, unless she just decides to come to the MSEP meet on the 9th.

July 7 - Either this evening or tomorrow evening, we will have an early dinner at Boma. The tentative plan is to go over to Saratoga Springs, where Wigd and Shocker will be staying, and let the girls play in the water while Jill and John run over to Downtown Disney to shop without strollers. They'll either come back over to SSR, or the girls and I will just meet them at the Marketplace bus stop to head back to Pop.

July 8 - If the Boma/SSR/DTD thing didn't happen last night, it'll happen this night. Which night this happens depends on Trent's schedule, because he wants to try to eat at Boma with us.

July 9 - Since we learned of the African festival that starts this day, we will most likely be at the Jammin' Jungle Parade, then go to the festival, then over to Magic Kingdom for our last night. I am fairly sure Poolrat plans to do the same, and possibly Wigd and Shocker. DIS meet in the evening. I think we've decided it'll be on top of the train station, and it looks like there might be several DIS families there.

July 10 - Last day. Unsure about how it will be spent, but we often like to take in a last bit of Magic Kingdom and/or Downtown Disney or both before giving it up. Hopefully, this day will be another family time when Trent can be with us a lot. There might be some tears when we say our final goodbyes, but we are hoping it won't be too long before we see him again, as he is planning to be at Brooklynn's birthday party in August.

So, we have some DIS meets, some requests for pictures and information to get for others, some things we want to put at the top of our own individual lists, and some special family time. It should be a good mix. I want to see a lot of the shows that I haven't seen in a while, and the Florida sun will probably help that to be a good thing for everyone. I will be doing some walking around on my own taking pictures while the girls sleep on some days, and I'll stay with the girls some days and let Jill and John go swim or ride rides or whatever. Ten days sounds like a lot, but when we start putting in all of these things, we could easily use a full 14 days.

Jill - fill in whatever you want to. I knw that most of our stuff will be dictated by how the girls are doing, but if you know of anything we have talked about that I have missed, add it in.

Picture Request List - just so it can all be in one place for ease in finding everything.

I have a few things I would like to do. I would like to walk through the lobbies of the Swan and Dolphin, for one. I want to listen to Voices of Liberty (special Fourth of July show at the American Garden Theater) and see The American Adventure, and the rest of them don't care so much for things like that. We want to do a Kim Possible mission. There are other things, but those come to mind right now.

***Adding to the list as of one week away - we have not seen Philharmagic or Beauty and the Beast for several trips, so I am ready to see both of those again.

Dawn wants us to look for a Mine, Mine, Mine bib for Seth and something with 2010 for his room.

CanadianWDWfan wants to see Potato Head parts and Pokemon things.

If any of you have requests, feel free to list them, and you know that we will do our best to get to them if we are in the vicinity.

ADDING:

1 - Daisy's gift shop at Dolphin - I truly hope to get over there
2 - AKL at night - possibly after our Boma meal
3 - Basin - easy, I love this place!
4 - Goofy's - easy
5 - Pop Century 80's section - really, really easy
6 - Pop 1968 and 1976 signs
7 - Minnie Mouse dolls
8 - entrapped plastic doll set with Tink for Heather
9 - My First Trip t-shirts
10 - price of Nemo Musical CD
11 - postcard for Declan
12 - Pop bus stop, gift shop, and breakfast food
13 - Glas und Porzellan in Germany, before it changes to a caramel shop
14 - Snow White/Dwarfs' Mine merchandise
15 - see if Adventureland/Frontierland bathroom is back open

Updated list.

We hope to have much fun!

See, this is what I like - a good pre-trip fight!!! :woohoo:

We're still waiting to see the wife's new style! ::yes::
She said she was going 'grandma', but I don't know if I believe it. :rolleyes1

Oh my gosh! Brookie was so little! And how big the playdough looks compared to her!

I can't wait to get your pics! Just PM me and I can help you out with finding our brick! And I'll give you the brick number. That would be so cool if you found it!

By the way...I know this is totally random but, if you have time, would you see if the bathroom in the walkway between Adventureland and Frontierland is opened back up?

PM and give me as much info as you can, and then if we can't find it, I'll text you when we are actually looking for it.

I added you request to the list. :)

I did almost miss Brooklyn in the playdough picture. Too cute. How nice it is to be able to say "when we eat at Chef Mickey's next Sunday." I would like more pictures this afternoon, please!

It does sound very good to say that we'll be there next Sunday.

Three more 'night-nights' - that is a little exciting, too! :dance3:

That is me too. I hate hate hate my flat hair. I want volume!

The pictures from your 2005 trip are awesome. I now have Ariel in her spiffy car as my desktop background. I'm really upset I never saw that parade, it looks awesome and I love the music from it.

Got any advice on good volumizing shampoos and conditioners for folks like us?

Glad you like Ariel. Those cars were so cool!

Hi MeMom & Jill - I hope you don't mind a new reader

MeMom, I saw your post on Michelle's (MHTeacher) TR about your new report and took off to find it! I haven't read your past reports because by the time I find them they are 100+ pages long and the task of catching up seems too daunting. I'm so excited to be in at the beginning of this one!

I have enjoyed you report and pictures, so I will try to reciprocate and give you some Disney fun over here.

AAWWWWW!!!! so cute

I feel the same way.

World Showcase is something I enjoy doing alone, so I can take my time and not feel like I am dragging behind or on anyone else's time frame.

Great pictures from the first trip! I love the parade with all the cars.

It was an awesome parade. One of the best, I think.

i too have fine hair. Falls flat no matter what I do! I just keep it at shoulder length so I can pull it back. I just cut if off pretty good a couple of months ago so I couldn't pull it back anymore because it got to be too much of a habit, but I miss being able to pull it back. I am almost to the point where I can pull the sides together without falling out!

I haven't found an easy style for me, yet. I'm too fat to wear my hair back. It makes me look weirdly out of proportion. I have to have a little fluff. I wish I could just wash and go, like guys do!

I love the pictures of Stars and Cars. I really miss that parade.

Me, too. Brooklynn would really like that parade now.

Thanks for the flashback pics! I love seeing how much Brooklynn has grown!

She is a little girl now and not a baby. If the DIS sticks around and we do and you do, you'll probably watch her grow into a young lady. :)

Aww what a nice trip down memory lane

Brooklynn has grown up so much! That picture of the first trip on IASW is priceless

If you get a chance, definitely put up more pictures later

I can't wait for all the pictures I'll get to see before I leave in 22 days

That Small World picture is one of my favorites.

I'm going to put up some pictures later tonight. I've been busy all day, so I am going to take a break.

See how fast it goes when you get to thirty days?!?!?

The old pics from Brooklynn's first trip make me tear up. The grow too fast... even Luke from June to June is astonishing!

Cars and Starts was a great parade! We really loved it, best day parade for us by far!

It is fun to look back on our babies, but don't tear up too much. Grown children are just as awesome. :)

/
please! It is so much fun to see all the pictures, especially how much Brooklynn is growing!

She has loved Disney World since her very first trip. It will be fun to watch her through the years. :)

Okay that was weird. I pulled out Sam's old computer and it had me still logged in as Arkie. But, anyways I'm here and ready for the MeMom family trip. I've been here since the first one and I remember Brooklynn that little. Now little Bella is becoming
a Disney veteran. I hope Ty loves it too. We will see in October. Can't wait to hear all about it.

Ty is going to love it, and you are just going to beam as you share it with him.

How exciting! Can't wait to read about your trip and see the photos! I really enjoyed the pictures from previous trips, especially with Brooklyn. I loved the Stars and Cars parade too. Wish they'd bring it back and just add to it!

I always keep up with your trip reports and am looking forward to this one! Woohoo!!

We love it when readers become joiners. :yay:
I'm with you - let's add new things, but not take anything away!

Can I join in this time??? I have read all of your other trip reports. You have a fabulous family and you all seem to happy to spend time together. It really is a delight to read. I thought since I had the extra time (since it is summer) that I might actually come out of "lurkville" and say HI!!!!

You can absolutely join!!!

We do very much enjoy our family time. My kids are also my friends, and we enjoy being together. :goodvibes

Yes please on the pictures and a picture war between you and Jill could be very entertaining.....

It would be so not fair. She would have only ugly pictures to show, and I have only cute pictures of her.

I've never seen any pictures from that parade! I really enjoyed that. It looks neat. Too bad they don't have that one anymore, b/c I would like to see it.

It always amazes me to see those statues from Pop/All Stars with people standing next to them. They never look that big in pictures until you have that reference, especially when it is a child.

As much as I like to get most pictures with no people in them,
I like to have people in the Pop icon pictures so that you really can comprehend how big things are. ::yes::

Loved those pictures of Brooklyn, what a cutie

I wasn't with you for those first TRs but I did read through them all, and now you've made we want to go back and scroll through the pictures all over again

We have sure written a lot of them. I wonder if there is a limit!

Loving the 2005 pics. I've never seen that parade before. It's fun looking back at the old pictures.

It was a good one. I guess it is at another park now, maybe?

Aw the flashback pictures were so cute! Look how little Brooklynn was then. Her face on IASW really does say it all

I so clearly recall her head bobbing from side to side trying to see it all. :cutie:

Glad you made it, even with some glitches.
We will see you Thursday at 4 at Old Key West. :thumbsup2

I'm here too!!

Love the pics from 2005. LOVE the pic of Brooklynn on IASW!!

I will be thinking of you at DW while it is one of our busiest weeks of the year at work.

So sorry that you have to work so hard this week, or is it next week?
Maybe the updates will make you smile every now and then. :wizard:

My problem is that I want to see every movie, every show, every piece of merchandise, eat in every restaurant, see every display...

That could take years. ;)

I do not believe for one moment that she looks like that. :upsidedow

I've followed along on your last few reports and decided I'd like to join in this time. You guys look like you have soooo much fun! I've only been to Disney World twice but I have been to Disneyland countless times. Looking forward to following you guys along on this next adventure.

Love the pictures of your first trip! Can't believe how little Brooklynn was! More please! :)

Your plans sound great! Enjoy your time with your family and try to stay cool!

I'm posting this here because this is the group who will truly get this. We went to A Day out with Thomas today and Owen got his picture taken with Sir Topham Hatt without crying! :woohoo: There is hope that maybe he will like the Disney characters next trip and get his picture taken with them!

I get the impression that you are up for the challenge. And the wonderful thing is that you have years to do it and a very willing travel buddy. My husband is of the mind that Disney World is a once every four years or so kind of things. I will consider it a victory if I can get him to once every two years.... though I would be much happier in a 2-3x per year kind of thing. :upsidedow

We are so happy about having so many new people joining in!

We have yet to get to Disneyland. John travels some with his job, so I am sure if he ever travels near Disneyland, Jill will find a way for them to get out there and check that out.

Good for Owen! I know that was a fun family activity. :)
That is good practice for Disney World. Brooklynn's first character practice was at a baseball game, and she did fine, too.

We'll see if Bella warms up to them this time. ;)

I am up for the challenge, even if does take a while. Who knows? I may even have new World Showcase countries to explore one of these days.

**************************************

On Thursday afternoon, we will get on a bus here,

DSC06683.jpg

and figure out the best way to get to here

DSC00238.jpg

for a DIS meet.

Won't that be fun??? :cool1:

A good reason to be at rope drop to Toontown - you may get a special escort.

DSC00393.jpg

The girls will be getting haircuts (Bella's first) on Friday morning after 1900 Park Fare.

This was Brooklynn's first.

DSC00616.jpg

Afternoon treats.

DSC00669.jpg

Time to see this again. It has been several trips now since we have seen it.

DSC00768.jpg

There was a request for pictures from here.

P1100246.jpg

We'll get some Lego pictures for declansdad.

P1100661.jpg

Crazy Florida driver.

disneypics020-1.jpg

A majestic castle awaits us.

disneypics062.jpg

Just about everywhere we will go, there will be birds of some kind.

disneypics196.jpg

disneypics229.jpg

Drew has appeared occasionally on our trips. Usually at meal time.

disneypics195.jpg

Even rarer, I will poke my face in just to show you that I was really there.

disneypics206.jpg

I will probably be acting silly.
Does it look like Drew is pretending that he doesn't know me? ;)

We will see if Brooklynn rides Tower of Tara! :scared1:

disneypics293.jpg

Note that that was Drew taking a picture, not me.

Okay, hope you enjoyed those.
More tomorrow.

Yay...another MeMom & Jill TR!!! :yay: YOU LEAVE SO SOON!!!

Brooklynn's 1st haircut picture is precious and soon you'll have a matching one for Bella! :goodvibes

Your crazy Florida driver comment had me cracking up. Florida drivers drive like they own the world! There is no such think as a speed limit for some people! I always have to keep my hand very close to the horn.
I loved the car parade! The new one is nice but it doesn't even compare to the old one. I think a parade in Disney World needs Mickey in it.
Cute pictures.
With being in DW for so long you can just go at a slower pace and you don't really need a strict raid plan. You can just wake up and do what you feel. That it what I like about longer trips.

Seeing these pictures from your first on-site trip is so much fun! Isn't the barber shop great? That was a place I made sure to take my girls on their first trip because I saw it on your TR way back when!
