All caught up! I saw on FB about the car, too, I am so sorry you have to deal with that.

I love DTD. We don't usually spend a ton of time there b/c my dad tends to get bored, but I really want to take some time one day on a future trip just to walk around and see more of it. I really want to hunt down some of those Disney books, too. I liked poking around Tren-D but it's just a bit pricey. :rolleyes1 And I love the little stuffed Zeroes! I've wanted one for so long but I could never justify spending the money (one I saw was $18!)

Ah, the packed grocery store. That's where I am heading very soon for work, but then I get to come home and bake! I'm making a chocolate cake with peanut butter cream cheese frosting. I gave Charles the option of plain cream cheese frosting or peanut butter cream cheese frosting and he chose the latter...I'm hoping it tastes good, I'm so nervous everyone will hate it  Then I get to pick up Charles at 9 and make oatmeal cookies with cranberries and white chocolate chips (his idea.) I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy time with your girls on Friday!

I had to giggle at Drew's reaction to your grocery shopping. That is hilarious and exactly the way my kids react to "new food" in the house! All four of them eat me out of house and home, which I am sure you are completely familiar with.

Love the DTD photos MeMom! You have a way of taking pictures that make you feel right there, right in the Happy Place that is Walt Disney World. I've been yearning very much to get back soon with the kiddos so I'm glad to have a little "fix" through your TR. :goodvibes

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

So sorry about your car. I really hope things turn around and you get some good news. We may have to cancel our end of Feb/early March trip, too. Ours is for different reasons. My DH's father passed away unexpectedly a week ago Sunday at age 62. We are all just stunned and heartbroken. He lived close in Tullahoma and was a big part of our day to day lives. Abby is confused as to why Papa isn't here. My DH worked with him so now the whole company is in DH's hands. He misses seeing his Dad each day at the office and is feeling too much pressure. Almost too much to be able to grieve properly. Vacation may be out of reach since he can't just lock the doors to the company. We, too, keep on reminding ourselves of our many blessings.

Jill - so happy to hear that the Vandy docs think the less invasive procedure will work!

I love how you take pictures of all the cool stuff in the stores! I'm making my shopping list for my next trip. I must have those earrings and that picture!

MeMom I love shopping with you. I feel like I'm right there. I can just smell all the wonderful smells in Basin. We finally made our way in there on our last trip. I will not miss going there again.

Yay, more shopping pics! I love DTD. I didn't go in Basin last week although I could smell the soaps as I passed by. I knew if I went in I'd spend money ;) Tren-D has such cute shirts. I wish Disney offered free coupons for those stores from time to time.

I went wandering around DTD on one of my trips recently . :lmao:
I loved the Christmas shop and I had a sandwich at Earl's. YUM

You have made my shopping so much cheaper. I take a picture and if I still come back to it then I buy. The only problem was that madras wallet that got sold out. :sad2:
I was able to talk to disney merchandising and they said it was just on backorder until spring and it should be back. :goodvibes

I hope you get an answer on the car soon but it may be after the holiday.

Happy Thanksgiving - I am sure I will be on tomorrow but just in case. :goodvibes

Not only can you see little boys having fun making those lightsabers, but you can see frustrated parents trying to figure out how to put them together!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

See, that shows you how little I know about them. I did not know they were frustrating. I usually just stop long enough to snap a picture. In the future, I'll have to try to put one together to get the full experience.

More fun shopping pics! I wish I could do all my Christmas shopping at DtD.

Oh, I can't believe the power went out yesterday at school! As if the kids probably weren't beyond hyper before that happened! Enjoy your vacation!

Jill, thanks for the update on Carter.

Wouldn't it be awesome to win a shopping spree to DTD?!?!? :cool1:

School was a bit different the last half of the day. We were going to do a turkey graph - the ones where you color in the ordered pairs and make a picture, but I wasn't able to get it copied off.

I have gotten a lot done today.

MeMom! I was all ready to post on your TR HOW much fun I have enjoyed seeing these latests photos, just love the picture of the fountain at DHS at night -- the Muppet fountain -- and how beautiful it looked! And of course all of the AK pics, the NEMO musical photos, and the shopping and the CARROT CAKE cookie AND your cheery Disney Christmas plates! Now, I am still going to say all that, because it was fun to catch up with all those pictures but I also was so saddened to hear about the car, and how awful that can make you feel. I totally understand. Very frustrating, and of course the silver lining is that no one was injured, and that is what insurance is for, but of course it still isn't going to relieve all of the headache that these unexpected events cause. So I know a lot of folks have given you big hugs across the miles and so I will just add mine to them! I hope it all gets taken care of and you can think ahead! Your outlook is always so positive. I appreciate that.

Hope you all have a happy Turkey Day!!!

Since there was no Disney trip this year, I had to get a few little things to help us along. :goodvibes

The car thing is frustrating, for sure, but I know a week or two from now all will be settled back down.

It was good to hear from you. You guys have a great day tomorrow!

Thanks for the update on Carter - I'll send up some more prayers for him & his family.

MeMom, where in Iowa is your student moving? Yes, the winter will probably be a shock. I had a good friend move here to IA when we were in junior high, and she says now she knew we had cold winters but she was not prepared for it.

I hope you & yours have a very happy Thanksgiving!!

I don't even know the city. I'll try to remember to e-mail his mom.
I do not do well in the cold, so I have no plans to go north!

Memom and Jill,

I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Same to you. Jill will eat lots of good stuff tomorrow on fine China and a perfectly ironed tablecloth, and then she'll eat her chicken and dumplings on Thanksgiving paper plates on Saturday with me.

Thanks for the update on Carter. Please keep us informed along the way. I'll be thinking about him!

Yes! More shopping! :yay: I love Tren-D. I just wish everything wasn't so high priced! Oh well. I wait to buy something and if there's something I really like in there, I'll have some $$ to get it.

I actually got that 'Designing Disney' book in July! It's really neat.

I think I might have to get that Space Mountain K'nex for Fiance and Little Guy to play with together!

Lots of cute stuff for all you young girls, but it does cost some yen, huh?
(We're studying Japan right now, so.... :upsidedow)

I bet the boys would love putting that Space Mountain set together.

Jill and John bought me the Windows on Main Street book.

The oatmeal cookies with cranberries and white chocolate - I bet they are incredible! Everyone will love everything you bring! You guys have a wonderful day tomorrow.

Drew's eyes light up when he sees more than one sack of food.
And I splurged - there was not one pack of Ramen noodles purchased this week! I think he's getting really sick of those. ;)

I hope it works out that we can be in WDW at the same time one of these years. I'd love to see your sweet kids in person. We could hang out at a table by the Pop kiddie pool while they splashed all over the place. :)

I hope you still get to go. Your husband will need and deserve a break. I am so sorry to hear about hs dad, and even moreso because it was unexpected. Please tell him your DIS friends are keeping him close in thought and prayer.

I take pictures of everything! :rotfl:
I like all the earrings, too. :thumbsup2

Doesn't it smell so gooood???
And the soaps are just fun to look at.

I am able to curb my buying, as well, by taking pictures and thinking about things. Let's not tell the Disney people, though, or they may confiscate our cameras. ;)

He's coming Friday morning to assess the car. As soon as he tells me what is going on, I have a couple of options I can pursue. One involves seeing some people I haven't gotten to see in a while, so that's kind of making me excited.

Time for a meal we had all been looking very forward to - Boma.

We all met at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Even though I just got back from MIL's house after having a huge thanksgiving meal my mouth is still watering look at those pictures. There's a lot to do at AKL. I'd love to just rent points there one summer and we could just hang out with out going into any parks. I think that would be fun.

Great updates MeMom. Two of my favorite places-one to shop at & one to eat at. I love Basin & usually buy the soaps. Boma is one of my all time favorite places to eat.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend with Jill & family. Have a great vacation. I wanted to come on tonight & post as I will be busy tomorrow & Friday will probably be putting our tree up.

Love the pic of Bella eating her Vanilla ice cream:cutie:!!

Hey MeMom! Just got a chance to sit down and catch up. Loved seeing DTD pics. I didn't get to spend enough time there on our October trip. When and if I get that solo trip I'm going to spend lots of time there.
It's been a crazy time here this week too. Sam and Ty had a stomach virus Sunday. I had it yesterday and Denny and Sarah last night and today. NOT FUN!
But, I will be THANKFUL that all we have is a bug that will come and go and I will quit groaning about my gallbladder(having surgery DEC 6th). I would like to ask you and all your readers to please take a minute to remember my cousin in your prayers. He is 49 years old and fighting for his life this holiday season. He was misdiagnosed earlier this year. They missed his colon cancer and it spread to his lungs and now we found out it has reached his brain.
My heart is heavy for him and his family. I lost my brother when he was 50 from brain cancer and I saw what he went through. But, my cousin is a man of strong faith and has no plans on giving up.
Sorry about hi-jacking your report.

ON a Happier Note Hope Everyone has a WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING!
Give your family an extra little hug and enjoy each other!

What was going on here? It looks like Bella either did or was about to do something and John was shooting her "the look":lmao:

Bella is trying to sweet smile her way out of potential trouble.:rolleyes1

Good luck on your surgery and I hope your cousin finds the strength he needs during this tough time.

That roast was melt-in-your mouth delicious!

AKL would be a good resort to choose for a non-park trip. :thumbsup2

Glad I hit two of your favorites. Not much more to go on this day, and then it's on to July 8th.

And it's still November. We're making good time.

You guys have a great day tomorrow. :)

We have had something running through our school, too. We have had lots of kids and a bunch of teachers out, too. We had a bunch of subs yesterday when we had no electricity, and I can assure you most of the lesson plans that were left included an afternoon video. ;) Hopefully, those subs had a bag of tricks with them. :)

I am certainly sorry to hear about your cousin. My dad was 49 with his cancer, too, and it was not pretty at all. Your family is in my prayers. It's especially bad through the holidays, too. I remember nights spent sleeping in the hospital waiting room. That year, Christmas came and went without much hurrah. Trent was a baby, too little to know about Christmas at all, but Jill needed a little bit of celebrating. It was a difficult year.

What was going on here? It looks like Bella either did or was about to do something and John was shooting her "the look":lmao:

I refuse to answer on the grounds that I may say that look is pretty common with John. He was not raised around little kids. His tolerance for more than them sitting down being very still and very quiet is pretty low. He's still in training. :goodvibes The girls were very good during that meal. He probably didn't like that she was standing up, but he might as well get ready to use 'the look' a whole lot with that one, because she is going to give him a run for his money.

Wishing you all a beautiful day of counting your blessings!
Thank you for your friendship toward us all through the year.
Safe travels, hearty eating, and good family and friends time to everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

I, for one, am thankful my day started with my beloved Animal Kingdom Lodge and those zebra domes! My mouth is watering just looking at them. Too bad I can't start eating that pecan pie I made right now.

HAppy Thanksgiving to all our friends south of the border.

Enjoy the parades, some football, the food, and most importantly the time with your families. :goodvibes

Thank you! I really feel bad with all my complaining about a gallbladder when there is so much worse going on in other families.

Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!
