I have this and love it. The day I decided I must have this CD, was when I woke up singing Dory's diddy. La La La LaLa. It took me a second to figure out what I was La Laing:laughing:

I hope your week continues to get a little better each day.

Dory is pretty funny. :)

Every day it gets closer to having my girls here again should be better and better. :thumbsup2

So sorry to hear about your car. Fingers crossed that it all works out! :goodvibes

I appreciate the thoughts. If I can get a car for under what the insurance pays, I guess it'll all work out. If not, it's gonna hurt a little. I got a car yesterday afternoon from the rental place. I don't really like driving other people's cars, though. I'll drive it to school today, stop and get groceries on the way home, and then park it for a few days, using it only if necessary. I thought about just getting a ride back and forth today and not even getting one, but I knew I needed to get to the store.
It'll work out. I'm over the shock and tears now, and I know something good will come from this. :)

I think the Minnie Volleyball t-shirt is the best one! :thumbsup2

I'm a Minnie fan, myself. I figured you would have liked one of those team shirts, though.

You're getting closer and closer to Declan's big surprise!
You have to come back and share it with us!

Basin looks awesome. In my four trips, I have never set foot in that store and it looks to be right up my alley. How do you choose from all of the delicious smelling soaps?!

Glad you and Bella also got some fun time together. Ice cream, yummy! :)

You would love it. It smells so good, and there are so many choices. I have been the recipient of gifts from there and the giver of gifts from there, and both are very fun. :goodvibes

I enjoyed my time with Bella. It's nice to have special time with each of the girls, and I look forward to doing that again this summer.

Oh, MeMom! I am so sorry to hear about your car. Glad that everybody is alright but sorry about the car. Maybe you can buy a good used one and won't have too much of a car payment.

I am hoping little to no payment. I can't put another thing in my budget.

Hope you and your boys have a great Thanksgiving week down there in GA!

****************************************

Last day of school! :woohoo:
I planned to spend the day doing all kinds of fun Turkey Day activities, as did most teachers at our school. Our principal decided that since our World Culture Day is December 2nd, just about as soon as we get back, we should all be working on our countries.

So, I'll be doing a mix of turkeys and origami today, I guess.

Hmmmm....

origami turkeys?

Have a good day, all!

LOL, I wish I could fix your car, but I do not remember transmissions, bumpers, etc in Gross Anatomy class. :lmao: I am lucky to have a wonderful husband. We have been best friends since high school. 17 years and counting. I guess he is a keeper.:lovestruc I hope the car situation continues to work out. I am glad you get to see your girls soon!
Cooper had his Thanksgiving party yesterday and I thought I would go insane after 20 minutes of 4 year olds! Teachers are not paid enough at all! I told Jason that I would much rather work in the ICU than teach 4 year olds. I am glad there are those that thrive at teaching elementary. They are very special in my opinion.

It was more about the volleyball for me (being a volleyball coach and all) :)

Yes it is getting closer. I received a message from Liz (our great agent) this morning saying she should have our package todayy or tomorrow.:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Can't wait to see the World at Christmas and then to cruise the seas.

Happy Last Day Before Your Thanksgiving Break, MeMom! :woohoo:

I imagine it would be very easy to make those origami cranes look like turkeys. LOL!

I was thinking when I saw the picture of Brooklyn pointing to the sign of Pop Century that it is very likely her sight words will be very different from the other kids. She will be able to recognize such gems as "Mickey, Minnie, Spaceship, Wait Time, Magic, etc."

Love that you and Bella enjoyed some ice cream together at Ghiradelli.

 to you from me!

Sorry to hear about the car. I'm so glad that Drew wasn't hurt.

I remember all too well, what a hassle it was to get another car after my DMom wrecked mine. Hope it all goes smoothly for you.

Our faith really does get tested in the rough times, doesn't it...but everything will work out...I promise!

Thank you for reminding me of all the blessings I have.
I have been feeling overwhelmed alot lately myself.

I've had the stomach flu for the past 3 days so I hope today will be better.

:goodvibes for your Feb/Mar trip! I have a personal interest in you making that trip...;)

Guess what Lexi said to me last night..."Mom can we stay at All Star Music on our next trip?" :faint:
How many times can a girl change her mind? :rotfl:
I havn't decided if I will change our reservation or not. I loved POP!

Thanks for the shopping pics this morning, it made by day brighter. :)

Asking for prayers from all my Dis friends. Brooklynn's best friend Carter went to the doctor Monday for a cough. His mom thought he was coming down with a cold. While there the doctor said he thought he heard a murmur and set up an appointment with the cardiologist. That appointment was today and I just got off the phone with his mom. It doesn't look good. He has multiple holes in his heart and his right aorta should be shaped like a banana, it looks like a cantaloupe because his heart is so over worked right now. They are going to see a specialist at Vanderbilt and try a less invasive procedure but the reality is that more than likely he will have to have open heart surgery at the age of four. Please pray for his parents and his sweet twin sister. Pray that the cardiologist here is wrong and that the less invasive procedure works.

Sending them my prayers. Please keep us updated! :flower3:

I would love to visit the Mall of America one of these days. If we ever make it up there, you'll have to come and give us a guided tour. :)

If you've got a garage for him to sleep in, I'm sending Drew your way.
Wait, I better get him some long johns. It's cold where you live!

Nice picture of your kids. They're at fun ages.
Santa's shirt is cool!

He would definitely need long johns- maybe even a few pairs to layer! It only got up to 22 degrees today! :scared1: Thanks for the nice compliment on the pic!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! :flower3:

22 degrees :scared1: I knew there was a reason I live in Florida (aside from the proximity to WDW)
I would freeze!

All caught up (again)!!

Sounds like you had a nice time getting in some shopping and enjoying some ice cream with Bella!

Hope your car troubles are over soon!

Enjoy this nice little holiday break and if I'm not back on here before Thursday, have a Happy Thanksgiving!! :goodvibes

All caught up.

Thank you Jackie, MeMom, xoktenox, and Kshafer for your help on NCLB.

My prayers go out to Carter and his family.

MeMom, that was amazing what you did for the student who didn't want to go to art class and it would be amazing if they offered after-school programs like that by the time I become a teacher or before then. it would improve things all around.

Hollister have fun working at Target. I worked their for a bit and I enjoyed it.

I love Finding Nemo Musical. In a BIG Blue wooorrrld...

Oh MeMom, I just read about your car. I'm so sorry to hear this happened. I am glad that Drew and his passenger was alright. I hope everything works out with your insurance. Is the rental a nice car?

Oh, I forgot to mention that I am officially a working girl again (not at Disney but that's alright at this point, a job is a job and I'm thankful for it)

I enjoy the teaching part, and I like being around the kids, because it keeps me laughing, but the paperwork and the discipline - those things are not so enjoyable. I'm with you on the 'not paid enough' part. ;) Can you run for President? :)

Yeah, sorry, with all the school stuff and car stuf, I wasn't thinking. I deserve a big fat DUH! there! :goodvibes

Disney World at Christmas is beautiful. What I wouldn't give to see those big trees and fun window displays and characters dressed in holiday garb again this year. I guess the wait will make it even more exciting for next year.

Happy Last Day Before Your Thanksgiving Break, MeMom!

Love that you and Bella enjoyed some ice cream together at Ghiradelli.

The last day ended with a bang. The lights went out right as I walked back in the room from dropping off my kids at lunch, and it stayed off the rest of the day. Couldn't use the ELMO to do my Math lesson. We ended up working on Japan pictures, doing a Thanksgiving Math worksheet, and then goign outside. Dismissal was crazy with no PA system. We just shouted the buses from teacher to teacher down the hallways.

 to you from me!

Thanks for the shopping pics this morning, it made by day brighter.

I love Pop, too, but I am ready to stay at Music again. It's been a while. I wish they would refurb Movies, too. I'd like to stay there again, but our room was sort of worn and dingy, so I want to wait until they freshen things up again. The girls would like the icons, so I hope they do it and we can stay there again before Animation Suites opens up. I have a feeling that when that opens, we'll be staying there a lot.

We've had a lot of sickness at school, too, with a bug going around. Glad you feel better.

Sending them my prayers. Please keep us updated! :flower3:

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I've been meaning to ask Jill about Carter when we talk, but I keep forgetting.

I have a student who is moving to Iowa this week. We talked about what a cold winter he is going to be in for. I told him to send us a picture of him and a big snowman. The class would love seeing a big, big snow!

22 degrees I knew there was a reason I live in Florida (aside from the proximity to WDW)
I would freeze!

Yeah, if I ever move, it'll definitely be south! :cool2:

Enjoy this nice little holiday break and if I'm not back on here before Thursday, have a Happy Thanksgiving!!

I just need the insurance guy to get out here today and tell me if it's fixable or totaled so I can make my arrangements and move on with life. I don't like being on hold.

All caught up.

Thank you Jackie, MeMom, xoktenox, and Kshafer for your help on NCLB.

The rental car is nice, and it is spotless, but I don't like driving other people's cars. I will only use it when necessary, but it will mostly sit. I won't even need it Thursday or Friday, so I wish I had a way to take it back for those two days so they don't count toward the total, but that would be a hassle, i guess.

Good to hear you have a job. :thumbsup2
We all should be happy to have any kind of job these days.

Just beware as you go into the classroom, it is NOTHING like what you see on TV or in the videos they show you in college.
It's way crazier, pressure-packed, and sometimes depressing.
If you know that going in and still want to teach, then you'll make it.
There are good moments, and you do fulfill a very definite mission to improve lives, so just stay focused on that part.

I feel like it is Saturday, since there is not school today. :)
I am going to go to the building later, I think, to work on our hallway. We couldn't do much yesterday because we had no electricity. No copying, laminating, internet, etc. I was going to work after school, but I just went ahead and left and got my grocery shopping over. It was packed, and I am glad that is done. Drew is glad to have food in the house. I told him not to get overly-excited and to make it last for a while.

That was it for Downtown Disney. I'd love to be walking around there today taking in all the Christmas atmosphere, listening to the live shows over by the game tree, and eating a Holiday Sandwich at Earl's. :santa:

I hope to be back tonight to share an awesome meal at Boma that includes the whole group. :cool1:

Not only can you see little boys having fun making those lightsabers, but you can see frustrated parents trying to figure out how to put them together! :rolleyes1

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! :goodvibes

Update on Carter:

After talking to the specialist at Vanderbilt they have decided to wait until after the holidays before they do anything. The surgeon said he felt at this point it was not an emergency and he would like for the whole family to have a fun and happy holiday that did not include hospital visits. So unless something changes (Carter starts showing signs of an overworked heart) the surgeon will try to fix it in the cath lab on January 20th. This is the less invasive procedure that the doctor in Huntsville said would more than likely not work but the surgeon at Vandy said he wants to give it a try.

More fun shopping pics! I wish I could do all my Christmas shopping at DtD.

Oh, I can't believe the power went out yesterday at school! As if the kids probably weren't beyond hyper before that happened! Enjoy your vacation!

Jill, thanks for the update on Carter.

MeMom! I was all ready to post on your TR HOW much fun I have enjoyed seeing these latests photos, just love the picture of the fountain at DHS at night -- the Muppet fountain -- and how beautiful it looked! And of course all of the AK pics, the NEMO musical photos, and the shopping and the CARROT CAKE cookie AND your cheery Disney Christmas plates! Now, I am still going to say all that, because it was fun to catch up with all those pictures :goodvibes but I also was so saddened to hear about the car, and how awful that can make you feel. I totally understand. Very frustrating, and of course the silver lining is that no one was injured, and that is what insurance is for, but of course it still isn't going to relieve all of the headache that these unexpected events cause. So I know a lot of folks have given you big hugs across the miles and so I will just add mine to them! :flower3: I hope it all gets taken care of and you can think ahead! Your outlook is always so positive. I appreciate that.

Hope you all have a happy Turkey Day!!! :)

Thanks for the update on Carter - I'll send up some more prayers for him & his family.

MeMom, where in Iowa is your student moving? Yes, the winter will probably be a shock. :) I had a good friend move here to IA when we were in junior high, and she says now she knew we had cold winters but she was not prepared for it. :)

I hope you & yours have a very happy Thanksgiving!!

Thanks for the update on Carter. Please keep us informed along the way. I'll be thinking about him!

Yes! More shopping! :yay: I love Tren-D. I just wish everything wasn't so high priced! Oh well. I wait to buy something and if there's something I really like in there, I'll have some $$ to get it.

I actually got that 'Designing Disney' book in July! It's really neat.

I think I might have to get that Space Mountain K'nex for Fiance and Little Guy to play with together!
