Great job opening Toon Town! I like the potato head pieces never seen them before!
So great for empty MK. Isn't it great getting fantasyland done like that!

Wow! Toon Town looks nice when it is empty. Last time I was there was the complete opposite. Not fun.

Are you and the girls going to Princesses on Ice? We have tix for the Saturday 3pm show at VBC. We are so excited!

I love those stuffed animals wrapped in blankets. I ooohed and awwwed over them my entire trip but still didn't get one. Sigh. I just need to buy one!

The fairy meet has got to be one of my fav things. For some reason Declan isn't interested in that...I may have to go alone.

What a great way to start the 4th. I loved the video of Brooklyn opening Toon Town. So, does this sound like a good order for my upcoming trip if I get there at rope drop. And, if I had a choice, is my best bet to do this on a regular park opening or Extra Morning Hour or does it matter (trip is end of Feb/beginning of March and shouldn't be a crowded week - I just got great ADR's last night for free dining so good sign):

Dumbo, Pooh, Peter Pan
To Toontown for rope drop:
Fairies, Mickey, Barnstormer, Princesses

Is this the order you would do. I could drop Mickey b/c we will probably go to Character Connection

Thanks so much:goodvibes

The video of Brooklynn opening Toon Town is so cute. Great job Brooklynn!!:thumbsup2

Wow the pics of an empty MK:cool1: We love getting there for rope drop. You can get so much done even on 4th of July!!

I would do Dumbo, Peter Pan and then Pooh. Only because Peter Pan can get a line so fast especially on non magic hour mornings. You should be able to accomplish all of that with no problem even if it isn't extra magic hours.

I agree with Jill.

I think I'd do Fairies, Princesses, Mickey then Barnstormer.

Thanks for the tips:love:

I will put that into my plan.

Once more question:

What big ticket ride should I get a FP for. I haven't been on the refurbished SM, and want to also do some other of the bigger rides since I am able to this time. Or, should I FP Peter Pan to get another ride for Abby.

Hi friends, I have a lot of catching up to do....:surfweb:

I have had a bit of a rough time the last few weeks but it's starting to turn around. Everything will be okay.

I can't wait to see what everyone has been up to.... I missed a DIS meet and we now have a new baby boy I see! ;)

Your October trip is soon aproaching! I'm so excitted to see Halloween pics.
They hadn't put anything out when we left.

It feels good to be back!

I didn't realize they had stormtrooper parts for the potatoes! I am thinking we might need to fill a new box this year. Now how to convince my hubby that we do not in fact have too many pieces already.

Love the Disney babies in the blankets too!

I keep wanting to do one, but then I get too frugal when it comes time to make the purchase. I would like to have some for a descriptive writing activity. The students could make one, describe it in words on paper, and then draw a picture.

That's so awesome Brooklynn got to open ToonTown! I love the pics of her hair flying back and forth

aww cute videos of the girls with the fairies. Bella was so adorable standing there looking at the fairies, taking it all in.

Bella wasn't really backing off of those guys as much as she has done with some others.

In the picture of Brooklyn and John her hair is still just a' swingin'. She must have still been walking with purpose.:goodvibes

She walks with a little pep in her step very often when we are in Disney World. :)

Yep. We love early mornings in Fantasyland. ::yes::

We're usually finding our way out of the area before the crowd piles in.

I'm not going to Disney on Ice. Jill may be, though. They've been with friends a couple of times. I probably would go if we were not going on the October trip.

Aren't they cute? Which one do you like best?

The fairy meet has got to be one of my fav things. For some reason Declan isn't interested in that...I may have to go alone.

Maybe you could bribe him (with some manly Disney activity afterward) to stand in line with you.

I don't think it'll be too crowded then, but I will answer just like Jill - Dumbo and then Peter Pan. Doing each one twice (off and right back on) would be very good. We've done that many times - twice in five minutes is awesome in comparison to waiting in long lines later in the day for one ride.

Remember, we are sworn to secrecy so that the rest of the world doesn't learn about it. :thumbsup2

If you aren't getting tired of meeting and greeting, that could be good. I can't imagine you will have to wait a long while for Barnstormer. I have no personal expertise in the crowds at those times, though.

You should be able to walk off of Peter Pan and right back on. Get your FP for Space Mountain. Do you plan to do Splash and Big Thunder?

We have missed you. Sorry to know that life has been stressful. It has been for me, too. I always know when I am more stressed than usual, because I can remember my dreams more, and boy, have I been dreaming up a storm!

Main Street is decked out in orange now. :cool1:

We are glad to have you back. :goodvibes

Another amazing update!! Love the pictures of the pieces for the Mr./Mrs. Potato Heads I am so going to get some of those someday LOL! I will cave and get it LOL!!

Those stuffed animals are just so adorable!! They look totally huggable!!

All caught up...whew I missed a lot!

What a fun Atlanta Dis meet.... I would have devoured a cupcake, brownie and those cookies looked so yummy! (I'm going to have to search for that pan)

I looked to see how far St. Louis is from me. 18 hrs ... just a tad too far for me to do in a weekend. :sad2: Maybe I could get my boss to fly me there in his plane....:rotfl2:

Funny that Wig'd was searching for the 3 peas too.
We searched the whole trip.....2 Disney Stores and all through WDW and we never came across a single pea. The prices on Ebay are just ridiculous?

I really enjoyed catching up with all the shopping pics.
I took alot of them myself on this trip.
I wish I could have gotten all of the things that I saw but there's always next time.

Very cool that you have become DIS celeb's and are getting recognized. :thumbsup2

Thanks for putting up the Potato Head pics.
Lexi had a blast picking out all of the pieces. We got a lot.
I was the packer and I had fun trying to jam as many things into the box and container as I could. I did pay extra for Dumbo.
I was pleased and the CM said I did a good job. She even allowed the Mary Poppins umbrella to be sticking outside the box.
We were disapointed that we didn't see the little pumpkin pail. Is there any way you could pick one up for me and I can pay you for it?

I'm so jealous of your empty queue at the Fairies.
I'm embarassed to say I didn't make it there til the afternoon and we waited over a hour .... (I did know better. :upsidedow)

Princesses only took about 20 mins. :)

We never did see Tiana & Prince Naveen. We tried 3 times and the line was always full. The last try we got there extra early and made it into the "holding pen" only to be told she wasn't coming out because of weather. :headache:

Have a good night all!

Just wanted to say "Hi!" and introduce myself. I have been reading your trip reports for a while and am finally caught up in real time! LOL! I am also from TN (Northeast) and love reading about all of your Disney adventures. My DH and I have always loved Disney and have passed that on to our 4 kiddos quite successfully. ;) Hopefully I can stay caught up and be more than just a lurker here on the DIS. I am reading CP's reports now as we are going in Oct. as well, and are finally getting to stay at AKL during F&W. I would love to be a part of a real life DIS meet one day. :lovestruc The Atlanta meet looked like so much fun!

Welcome! We are always glad when lurkers chime in and become regulars so make yourself at home. What are your October dates? I'm sure we will make it to the Knoxville/Gatlinburg area before too long. We'll let you know when and maybe we can plan a meet.

Love the empty Toon Town photos! I'm going to miss this area. It makes you feel more like a cartoon too.

Thanks for sharing the potato head parts. We didn't get a box of parts this trip.:sad2:

Happy Wednesday, friends!

Hope everyone is having a great day so far; it's gloomy & rainy in Iowa but that's OK. :)

Katie
