much better by trip's end.
I have never put up a trip report and while I would like to now I think I will put those very favorable and positive comments in separate posts.
I am also the farthest thing from a Luddite, am pretty proficient for an old guy with technology and very, very much wanted to refute all those who were claiming that the MB's were incarnate evil.
Well they sure aren't evil, incarnate or otherwise. And sadly I cannot refute those who have had their share of difficulties with MB and MDE.
Again, without boring you with a blow by blow, minute by minute accounting trust me when I say it took upwards of four days before our MBs, a) allowed us to enter parks via our APs; b) let us use FP+; and c) linked our passes with my daughter and her family's FP+.
Were it not for the sincere intervention of several CMs each of whom I would like to nominate for Pete's Cast Member Hall of Fame for their good intentions and skills, we would have cut our vacation short. They did everything but sell their first born to tend to our needs.
In the end, everything did come together, no real harm or foul, and we had a great time when everything actually did work.
I'll close by saying in fairness that I think some of the MB issue was a consequence of my own fumbling with the MDE in leading up to our trip. Even if my "confession" to that is true, not sure if it were a factor, I'd have to say that the MB system infrastructure surely lacks the capacity to compensate for guests' technological usage in error. Compound that with varying lack of skills mastery of CM's notwithstanding their eagerness to help and I can only say that I am glad that those who implemented MB did not plan D Day lest we would all be speaking German today.
