From MK, does the same boat go to both Fort Wilderness and the Wilderness Lodge?

We plan to eat at Trail's End Buffet and Whispering Canyon Cafe. I'm confused about if there is one ferry going to both places or different ferries? Are there multiple stops or are both within walking distance of one another?

Yes, it goes from MK to WL to FW.

Sometimes during peak seasons they seperate, but most of the time it is the same loop.

Thank you so much for clearing that up! I've always had a car at WDW and have never really used the transportation. My mind just couldn't get it straight with this one, but now it makes sense.

For your time there, it will most likely be a separate boat. Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness are a mile apart by the walking trail, so you can't choose one and get to the other easily. They are definitely not walking distance to me

Sharadoc is right---at least some of the time, the boat routes are:

* MK <-> WL
* MK <-> Ft. W
* A loop connecting CR, WL, and Ft. W.

So, from the MK you can get to either, and you can get between them, but the same boat might not hit all three. The signage about which boat is which is easy to understand.

We have walked between WL and FTW. It is a nice, wooded walk. The path is a bit hard to find. Ask a Cast Member.

Just one additional note, in january, we were suppost to be catching a boat to MK, but it ended up going to Fort Wilderness first, we were puzzled, until it was explained to us that it had something to do with Hoop De Doo performances

we were going to MK for fireworks at 8 pm, lined up at 7 pm for MK , ended up getting to MK at 7:45 pm due to the additional travel to Fort Wilderness for the reason mentioned above

so it would pay to check, especially in the evening if you want to be at the MK at a certain time
