Im staying at the anaheim plaza inn (which im scared about but it was only 238 for 4nights / 5 days in august!!!!), its right across from the disney entrance and down a motel or two. Very close. I seem to recall that you can take a shuttle from the airport, do they go to any hotel? How much are they, and are they cheaper pre bought?

If anyone has some positivie experiences with this hotel, i'd love to hear em too, but please no more negative ones! I've read enough reviews, mostly mixed. I'm hoping for somewhere to sleep as I haven't been to DL for a few years, only WDW and am looking forward to the park being open til 12. Hopefully its mostly clean, and I didn't see any mention of a hot tub, but if there is one, that'd be neat too. This was a last minute trip with extremely cheap airfare (30 return from vancouver with my summer job perks) and didn't really have money saved to stay somewhere nicer.\

Thanks :)

I have stayed at the Anaheim Plaza a couple of times...it's a decent, fairly clean place to stay. No hot tub. But theres a fairly good sized pool. Cheap and easy...nice (but i'm by no means a motel snob!). You should be fine, since all you want is a decent place to sleep. I remember the beds being fairly comfy. Have fun

I stayed there with my brother in June 2007. We spent just about every waking hour in the parks. I found it to be clean and would stay there again if need be. There are other places I like better, but it served it's purpose very well since it was clean and provided me with a roof over my head so I could get some sleep whilst not living in Disneyland.

The bed didn't work out great for me, but I have occasional battles with insomnia(hence my user name and the fact that I once asked my beloved Princess Aurora if she had any advice for an insomniac). So, the beds may be just fine for you.

There are other places that are a little bit closer, but it's easily within walking distance of the parks. It's a place I would stay again if need be. About the only thing I really missed was a continental breakfast, but there are ways around that if you just plan ahead.

I just wrote a review for that hotel last month on Trip Advisor. It's fine. The parking is pretty good and the walk is pretty much the limit, much farther would be too far. I would stay there again if I couldn't get closer.

Thanks for the info, thats what I thought it'd be. The only other option on such short notice seemed to be the fairfield, which ive stayed at twice before, but the rates were kinda higher (still good, but im going super cheap on accomadations) at around 150 a night. Would have cost 350 more for our 4 night stay. Seems to be nearly the exact same distance as the fairfield, and a bit closer than Hojos.

Any info on the transfer from the airport or a shuttle? Thank you again for all the comments :)

We used the Disneyland Express from LAX - it was quick, easy and on time but of course we lucky- t perfect timing wise - the coach goes past each terminal every 30 mins approx. I would use again.

We stayed there a year ago and I really liked it. its close to the park and they have a really cheap breakfast buffet. And the same trip we took the shuttle to lax and I think we payed $40 a adult. I like how close it is to the park. have fun.

Do you have to make ressies for the coach or shuttle?
