Gah, I really don't know how you ride RnRC, Mary Ellen! That is one ride I will probably never make it on!

Your Pluto is fantastic! I am impressed! When we did the Animation class, our Winnie the Poohs looked a bit like products of a modern art revival (and not in a good way ).

Mmmm, grapefruit cake! What I wouldn't give for a slice of that!

Sorry to hear Nicholas' team lost, but will be thinking of y'all tonight during Brian's game!

:cool1::banana::banana::woohoo: WOOT!!! Congrats to Brian and his soccer team!!!!! :dance3::yay::banana: I'll be rooting for them in their next game!!!!

Thanks! :cheer2::cheer2: 8pm tonight! Big Game!

Hope the weather is better this week!!!!

So far, the weather is cooperating very well!!!! :worship:to the weather gods!

OOOH your clinical sounds like a lot of fun!!!! What a great experience.

Joe Simmons is really good and really funny. He is a performance major who relocated from Texas to NYC. He taught for awhile at NYU. It's interesting how he decided to use his talent to mentor music ministers. Music is pretty mediocre in many catholic churches (IMHO), so its great to get pointers and suggestions from someone who really knows their stuff.

Okay so we'll add TOT and yes we'll see...but I'm telling you now if you ask Paula she'll tell you exactly how jittery I get in that ride...then again maybe I should save that for our TR LOL!!!!!

Well.....we can get jittery together. I do look forward to reading that in your TR.

Good luck to Nicholas today!

Thanks!!!!!!!!

Woo hoo for being off for the week! I know you will enjoy being able to relax a little! :goodvibes

I'm not sure about relaxing ------ there is SO much I would like to get done. If I get half of it done, that will be good!

Good luck today! Woohoo for vacation time, even if you are just hanging out around the house. You could start on christmas shopping!

Thanks for the good wishes. I picked a good week for vacation because if Brian's team wins tonight, it will continue to be a hectic week. And, yes, the thought of Christmas shopping has crossed my mind.

Congrats to Brian and Good luck to Nicholas today...:cheer2:...sending good vibes out to both of them...:goodvibes I hope that everything goes well...

Thanks for the good wishes!!!!!!!!!

(ahh...the life of a soccer mom or a karate mom or a cub scout mom or a theatre mom is never done is it?...;)...it's always something.

True, so true. It never ends! And you know its really bad when you have three loads of :laundy: waiting for you at home!

I love the idea of a soccer mom get away to Food and Wine...:cool1:...what fun...

It would be such a great time to go, but since we are all concession stand groupies and we hate to miss games, I just can't see us going when our kids will be in their senior year of high school. I think its better if we go in the spring so there are not so many distractions.

Good luck with the time off...I hope you get everything done that you want to...:thumbsup2

Thank you! Like I said - if I get done half of what I would like to do, it will be a successful week.

:cheer2: Awesome soccer news!

Thanks.....I will continue to keep you posted with updates!

Good luck today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And hey, soccer mom's need a break too! And definitely wine:goodvibes

I love those dancing men! And soccer moms definately need a break, with wine included!!!!!!! (Don't think I haven't thought about sneaking it into my travel mug during my concession stand duty!)

Good luck to both boys!!

Have fun with your time off! Sometimes it's nice to have a vacation and not go anywhere. Imagine how quiet the house will be during the day!

Thanks!

It is nice to be able to hang around the house without the peeps underfoot. It gives me a good chance to look around and figure out what really needs to get done. It would be great to start digging out the Christmas decorations, but I am not ready to go there yet. I want to unload a bunch of stuff at good will and get the kids rooms reorganized. Plus I would love to do the powder room over - paint, change the decor, the whole nine. That would be a wonderful thing to accomplish!

I just want to thank everyone for all the well wishes regarding the end of the soccer season. You have all been so Great, Awesome, Fantastic, Supportive, Motivating! Its so nice to be involved with such a warm and supportive community and I really appreciate it!

I will post more replies today and by tomorrow morning you will have the results of todays game. I would love to DIS more now, but I really want to start on my "list" of to-do things and that does still include lots of :laundy::laundy::laundy: Only there is no smile on my face when I am up to my elbows in dirty clothes!

Great updates - I'd fallen behind but enjoyed catching up!

Lucky you with the week off -- enjoy it! I am very excited at the prospect of a F&W trip for you!!

Loved the pics of ToT- especially since I am too chicken to ride it myself.

Ahh the Brown Derby- how I'd like to be eating there today instead of the work cafeteria.

Good luck with the remainder of the soccer season!!

On the way out we ran into a photopass photographer.......
Sept2009-Disney1288.jpg

Great pic!

I find this so amazing! Everyone comes out with these great pictures! I have no artistic talent and wonder what I would come up with? :rolleyes1

Your HBD lunched sounded good!

Love these!

:wizard::wizard: Sending lots of Pixie dust for tonight's big game!!!! :wizard::wizard:

Thanks for a great update!!! It was really fun spending the morning with you at DHS!!! It is such a wonderful park!!

Love your postcards..where exactly do you find those at DHS???

Hmmm..lunch at Brown Derby..sure beats my Lean Cuisine right now LOL!!!

Good luck tonight!!!! :cheer2:

Wow!! I love your Pluto! So cute! That was one of my goals in October to do the animation and I totally forgot about it! :confused3 I will have to remember for next time!

Such short waits for RnR and TSM :confused3 That's great! I am usually good for RnR once per trip because my head just bounces off the restraints which is usually not very enjoyable but I'm not ready to give it up yet!

Cute postcards! :)

Tracy

Forgot to say that I really liked your statement about looking up and thinking that one of the passengers on the plane was a fellow Disney friend.

Great update MEK! It sounds like you guys were having a geat day at DHS despite the heat!

I love that Denny had to take a Bio break when you were going into the studio!! :lmao: Such a man thing to do!

Your lunch at Brown Derby sounds so nice and enjoyable!!! What a nice break!

Yippeee for a short standby on TSM in the middle of the day!!

Sorry for no individual responses yet! It's 1130 and I'm heading to bed. Just wanted to share the news that........WE WON!!!!!!!! Score was 3 to 1. Last 2 goals scored in the last 15 - 20 mins. I was starting to get really worried. But, they pulled it out in the end. We play again on Thursday night. We are down to the last four teams, so I guess that makes Thursday the semi-finals. We play Charter, which is a team we have lost two twice in the regular season games. WE HAVE TO WIN!!!!!!!!

So, I was fairly productive on my first weekday off. I did lots of laundry, cleaned out my closet, and finished putting together five bags of clothes and other items for goodwill. Then I drove everything to goodwill and dropped it off. I also visited the dollar store and started buying little odds and ends to use for stocking stuffers. I figured I might as well shop now while the selection is good.

I promise to respond to everyone's posts and well wishes when I get up in the am! Thanks for all the positive vibes!!!!!!!!!

Excellent update, Mary Ellen.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

i noticed you're even smiling in at least one photo! Yay! :goodvibes
Yes - I smiled! Got give you guys a little something here and there!

i'm glad you enjoyed your lunch at the Brown Derby,

Excellent lunch! If on the Dxdp in the future I will absolutely eat there again!

and only a 30 min standby for TSM, WoW! Awesome!

I couldn't believe it! I think the wait time got a bit longer (up to the true 40 mins) while we were in line, but we hit it just right!

Mmmmm....I really enjoyed the Brown Derby!

:

It is really a nice restaurant. When you are inside its hards to believe you are actually inside a theme park. I think my firends would love that place and I am considering OOP lunch for our trip in May!

I have never done the Little Mermaid attraction either. It is a must-do on our upcoming trip, though!

I can't believe it took me ten trips to the world to see it. I guess I really thought it was more of a kids attraction. I kept getting it confused with Playhouse Disney!

I can't wait to try TSM for the first time! I love all the pix of everything from the line!!! I am going to try to do a stand-by and FP so we can see all the fun!!!!

Then you know what you gotta do! Get there first thing in the am, grab you FP, and queue on up. I knew if there was on trip where we could ride it after doing ToT and RnR, this would be the one. I was totally ready to skip it, but how could I with that wait time?

Can't believe we are already at your last dinner!!!! :sad2:

Really? I feel like I am dragging this out way too long! :rotfl: I'm really not trying to, I just have so many pictures for each little thing we did.

Great update!

I like the pictures of the little mermaid even if you aren't really sure how the show was!

Thanks! :rotfl: Can you believe it? I think its because I have never really watched the Little Mermaid from start to finish. I've really only watched the animated movies that boys like. Someday I would like to watch all the "girlie" flicks.

30 minutes for TSM? That's mind boggling.

I know. I know! For someone who only wanted to ride TSM all day, it would have been a banner day!

What a fun day so far, Drawing Pluto, Brown Derby, TSM, just great! I think it's funny you were trying to draw 2 Pluto's though! I really want do try this on our trip.

By 2pm we had ridden ToT, RnR, drawn Pluto, BD lunch, LM, and TSM. I think we were doing pretty well. I always feel like it takes us forever to get things done in HS, but today I felt like we were moving along at a good clip. Plus - we weren't done yet!

The drawing class is really easy and really fun. It's so different from anything else you do in the park. The instructions are super simple.

Sorry about Nicks game, fingers crossed for Brian!

Fingers crossed did the trick!!!!!!!!! :worship:

Oooh, a F&W Soccer Mom trip!! :yay: Sounds like fun!

It would be fun, but I can't see us all going during soccer season. We are way too involved with everything that goes on behind the scenes and they need us for the concession stand.

Great update too! Your Pluto turned out awesome!!! I want to try that sometime and see how awful mine turn out, it would make for a humorous TR update.

Thanks. Seriously, there is no way it will turn out bad. They tell you exactly where to draw the lines and how to measure things out. You draw a lot of light lines that work as marking points. Then the real lines get darkened. Seriously, you are very creative. You could do it in a snap. It's not like you are drawing Pluto. In fact, you can't tell what it is until you are almost done!

:woohoo: about TSM practically being a walk-on! Did you talk to the Mr. Potato Head?

No. I didn't talk to him. I told you I freeze up in spontaneous situations like that (ie. Monsters, Inc) :rotfl2:

Gah, I really don't know how you ride RnRC, Mary Ellen! That is one ride I will probably never make it on!

I think you could do it if you kept your eyes closed through the whole entire ride. The worst part is the anticipation and the blast off feels a little wierd, but before you know it you are up the back wall and into the loop. The rest of the ride is a piece of cake and I actually like the barrell rolls. The first time I did that ride I kept my eyes closed the whole entire ride. I opened them once for a split second. EYES CLOSED is the trick for chickens!

Your Pluto is fantastic! I am impressed! When we did the Animation class, our Winnie the Poohs looked a bit like products of a modern art revival (and not in a good way ).

Really? You must not have gotten good instructions. I think the CM has to be good at telling you exactly what to do. But...thanks.....I like my Pluto! :)

Mmmm, grapefruit cake! What I wouldn't give for a slice of that!

Well, I have to thank you for the grapefruit cake. I had heard it was good, but when I saw your TR pics I knew I had to have it. Believe or not, the GF cake held up pretty well in those plastic containers in the heat. I ate mine later that afternoon and Denny saved his for breakfast! Yum!

!

Sorry to hear Nicholas' team lost, but will be thinking of y'all tonight during Brian's game!

Thanks!!!!! I could feel those positive thoughts last night! :thumbsup2

Great updates - I'd fallen behind but enjoyed catching up!

I'm glad you are all caught up! I finally caught up on your TR, but I am way far behind on others including CP's. She'll have 20 pages of banter that I completely missed over the last week. I am headin there this am!

Lucky you with the week off -- enjoy it! I am very excited at the prospect of a F&W trip for you!!

Iknow!!!!!! We have to coordinate this carefully because I see that LL and Jen are going around Oct 11th???? (I think). Will your trip overlap with theirs? I am open right now, although I would have loved to take advantage of FD. I am going, with or without soccer moms, so I am flexible!

Loved the pics of ToT- especially since I am too chicken to ride it myself.

Oh no! Is there anything we can do to change that?????? I am a serious chicken, too. But once I live through it I am sooooooo proud! :rotfl:

Ahh the Brown Derby- how I'd like to be eating there today instead of the work cafeteria.

Egads! Now there's a contrasting image! :rotfl2:

Good luck with the remainder of the soccer season!!

Thank you! We are almost done, with the most important game(s) ahead of us!

Great update! :thumbsup2 I love your Pluto pic! Good luck with the soccer game! :cheer2:

Thanks for the positive energy!!!!!!! It paid off! :woohoo:

Great pic!

Thanks! Not only was I smiling, but see....I added a head tilt! LOL!

I find this so amazing! Everyone comes out with these great pictures! I have no artistic talent and wonder what I would come up with? :rolleyes1

You would come up with exactly what I did. You really don't need much talent, just the ability to relax and follow directions. In a way, you almost need that childlike zen from your formative years. Just let that carry you through!

Your HBD lunched sounded good!

It was really yummy! Perfect lunch without being too heavy!

Love these!

Thanks.....aren't they cute?

OMG.....I am SO Sorry I can not get to all the responses this morning. Thanks so much, again, for all the positive posts and all the congratulations. It really means a lot to have you guys routing for us and congratulating us. As I was watching the game last night, tied 1 to 1, with 18 minutes to go, I remember thinking.....If we lose, how will I report this loss on the DIS?????? I was really getting down. So, instead, a having a GREAT BIG WIN to report! :woohoo::woohoo:

Anyhoo....since I am off today, I told the kids I would drive them in late since we didn't get home until after 11pm. They are allowed to come in late when they have a late night game.

So, I want to start getting ready to take them to school at 9am. Then I May????? drive to Rehobeth Bch today to visit the outlets. I have been wanting to do this for awhile. They usually have nice bargains this time of year and I need more jibitz for my crocs ($3 vs $6 at Disney)

So....I PROMISE TO RESPOND TO ALL POSTS LATER TODAY!!!!!

Woohoo for the soccer win! :woohoo: AND a BIG wooohooo for outlet shopping! I loooove outlet malls! :thumbsup2 Hopefully you have find some good christmas stuff before black friday wipes it out!

So first of all, CONGRATS on the soccer wins!! That is so awesome!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

More great pictures! :goodvibes You know, I have never been to the Little Mermaid show either - perhaps that will be added to the "to-do" list for this trip. That list is getting longer and longer by the minute... :rotfl:

How nice to have a week off! I know what you mean about having vacation time and not going anywhere, but I also think there's something to be said for relaxing and being able to have a nice time at home. Have fun if you do decide to go outlet shopping!! Let us know if you find any really great deals! :wizard:

Have a good one!

:wizard::wizard: Sending lots of Pixie dust for tonight's big game!!!! :wizard::wizard:

Thanks Jen.....All your pixie dust must have done the trick - love it!

:Thanks for a great update!!! It was really fun spending the morning with you at DHS!!! It is such a wonderful park!!

Well, I just hope we really get to spend the morning together in DHS next fall!!!!!

:
Love your postcards..where exactly do you find those at DHS???

They are in the store near the animation attraction. They also have some in the store near that exit that has all the signed photos in it.

:Hmmm..lunch at Brown Derby..sure beats my Lean Cuisine right now LOL!!!

Lean Cuisine - you, too? The only reason I eat Lean Cuisine is so I can splurge at places like the BD. Huge, huge, huge step up from the dreaded LC!

Good luck tonight!!!! :cheer2:

Thanks for the good wishes - they definately paid off.

Wow!! I love your Pluto! So cute! That was one of my goals in October to do the animation and I totally forgot about it! :confused3 I will have to remember for next time!

thanks. I do love my little Pluto. I really wanted to do this attraction in June, but the line was just too long. September was a great time to check it out. I'm so glad I finally got around to doing it. I hope I get to draw a new character in May!

Such short waits for RnR and TSM :confused3 That's great! I am usually good for RnR once per trip because my head just bounces off the restraints which is usually not very enjoyable but I'm not ready to give it up yet!

It was probably the best day I ever had at HS, especially in terms of crowds. I loved having that freedom to just do what I wanted, when I wanted.

I hear ya about RnR. I tend to get headaches and neck aches, so I have to watch how many times I ride. Don't you dare give it up!!!!!!!

Cute postcards! :)

Forgot to say that I really liked your statement about looking up and thinking that one of the passengers on the plane was a fellow Disney friend.

Thanks.........

and.........Thanks! When I come home in the dark in the winter I always think about that....whose up there and where are they coming from????

Great update MEK! It sounds like you guys were having a geat day at DHS despite the heat!

We had a great day and, even though it was hot, it was not unbearable. It was "doable" heat!

I love that Denny had to take a Bio break when you were going into the studio!! :lmao: Such a man thing to do!

Timed that perfect, didn't he????? I think he could have waited another 10 minutes or so. It wasn't like we weren't right near a restroom when we were finishing lunch not that long ago. :confused3

Your lunch at Brown Derby sounds so nice and enjoyable!!! What a nice break!

It was very yummy!!!!

Yippeee for a short standby on TSM in the middle of the day!!

That was so awesome. I never even thought it would be such a short wait or we would have checked it out sooner!

I'm curious about how the crowds were during your trip.

I LOVE these guys! Thanks!

Congrats on the win!!!

Thanks!!!!!

:dance3::dance3:YAY! That's great!

Good luck on Thursday!! :cheer2:

Thanks! And thanks for the well wishes for Thursday. We need every advantage and boost we can get. This one is going to be a nail bitter!

Woohoo for the soccer win! :woohoo:

Thanks!!!!!

AND a BIG wooohooo for outlet shopping! I loooove outlet malls! :thumbsup2 Hopefully you have find some good christmas stuff before black friday wipes it out!

I ended up not going to the outlets. Long story - I will fill you in later. But I did do some local shopping, so all was not lost! :rotfl:

So first of all, CONGRATS on the soccer wins!! That is so awesome!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Thanks!

More great pictures! :goodvibes You know, I have never been to the Little Mermaid show either - perhaps that will be added to the "to-do" list for this trip. That list is getting longer and longer by the minute... :rotfl:

Oh, yes....put it on your must-do list. It was really cute and it certainly wasn't overly long. Enjoy! I know all about that ever growing list!

It is a good week to be off with all the soccer stuff happening. Unfortunately, I didn't make it to the outlets today, but I will before the end of the week. I MUST get there!

Awesome news on the win Mary Ellen! :yay:
I think you are quite an artist! Not only once but twice!!
RNR hurts my neck.... Did it bother you?
