Finally it was time to go see the Hall of Presidents. This can be one of those "sleeper" shows for me. Meaning, its cool, its dark, its educational, and, of course, that sometimes equals...zzzz
zzzzzzzzzzzz But I didn't fall asleep. I was interested in seeing the addition of Barack Obama to the exhibit. And I did manage a few more pics......
So, don't ask me what I learned new, because I don't remember. I know that I always enjoy this exhibit, but my retention is bad. I know I don't enjoy it as much as the American Adventure. It's the AA music that gets me everytime! So patriotic.
After we exited HOP, we headed towards the main street bakery. I wanted to use some of our remaining snack credits. When I hit the line I sent C a text that we were at the MS bakery and to meet us there. She was right across the street. Denny and I were able to find a small table to wait. As we were waiting, he said, "Are you going to recognize her?" Funny, I was just thinking the same thing. I replied, "Ahhh I think so, I mean...I HOPE so".
At that moment C walked in. I knew it was her instantly. And I have to tell you peeps that C is more beautiful in real life than in her pictures. She just had the best glow about her. She was radiating. Seriously - I know that must sound crazy, but C personified what I call the "first day Disney glow". I think there really is a look that some people get when they get to Disney, and especially when they enter MK. It is a look which exemplifies all the joy and happiness they feel when they finally, after months of waiting, get to their happy place. Silly? Nah.....I think you guys know its a real phenomenon.
C recognized me, too (thank goodness....I was smiling, ya know

) and we gave each other a big hug. It was so nice to meet a fellow Dis'er, especially after so many months/years of talking to so many great folks over the internet. And as so many people have said, I instantly felt comfortable with C. It was like we had know each other for in real life, not just DIS life.
Unfortunately, our visit was short lived because Denny and I had to leave for the airport. Our time at Disney was quickly coming to a close. But what a great closing it was. I asked C if she wanted our Splash mtn FP's, but she said she was leaving the park, too. So we rode back to Epcot on the ferry and the monorail together. And you know what, I forgot all about those FP's, so I never found a new owner for them. Oh well. I felt kind-of bad about that, but what can you do.
Denny took a couple pictures of C and I on our return trip.....
C reminded me to smile, and we both had a good laugh about that!
When we finally arrived at Epcot, I glanced at the time. We had about two hours to our flight departure. I remember C saying, "You guys sure like to cut it close".

So we said our final goodbyes and I wished C to have the most awesome trip ever. I was secretly a little jealous of the 10 days she had ahead of her, but more than that - I unselfishly hoped she had a fantastic time!
Then we were off - the mad rush to fill up the car with gas and return it to MCO. We got through security in plenty of time and found our flight was going to be delayed by about 1/2 hour.
We were flying home on southwest and I have to share a return flight observation with you. Normally SW is great. You board, you find a seat, you sit down. But I don't know what was wrong with our fellow travelers on this particular flight. No one could seem to sit down and everyone was trying to put their carry-ons in the overhead compartments. One girl in front of us actually had the nerve to ask another passenger to take her bag out of the over head compartment so she could put a suitcase in there. The passenger replied, "if you want it out then you can put it under your seat". OK, then.
Finally the stewardess came and collected all the extra bags and had them checked.

thank you! Com'on people - bags fly free!
So, folks that concludes my adventures in Disney World. Of course, we still had a little adventure on the way home. We had found this great little short cut from Rt 50 to BWI on the way there. We wanted the GPS to take us back that same route, but it wouldn't. So we tried to pick a town that we knew was on that return route and trick the gps. Let's just say that plan completely backfired. Denny put some town in that was totally in the wrong direction and we drove out of our way for awhile until I looked up and realized we had seriously screwed up. Needless to say, I was less than thrilled with this turn of events and Denny and I shared our first "words" since the start of the vacation.
And that, my friends, was when we realized the magic had really ended!
Of course, I will be back with my summary and of my top 5 favorite events of this trip, my new adventure list, and my likes/dislikes. Then I want to share some pictures from our photopass calendar.
Thanks so much for reading along!!!!!!!!
