From Corn Dog Nuggets to Boeuf Bourguignon ~ And everywhere in between! F&W 2013!

Hellllllllllo!! Just found you!!! This picky eater lovvvvves the short rib in France, lol!! I still need to try the lobster--I'm going after that this afternoon!! Great job so far!!

OK! It's Saturday morning...going to try and get some more reviews done. Thanks for sticking with me!

Next up around the World Showcase was Ireland! I had the Lobster and Seafood Fisherman's Pie

Wow! This was awesome! Again, New Englander here....and absolutely loved this dish! The potatoes were yummy, the "sauce" on top was like a thicker lobster bisque and there was a huge lump of lobster in the middle. The lobster flavor was very prevalent in this dish and was definitely one that I was scraping the edge of my little bowl to get every bit. Sooooooo good!! :goodvibes

Greece is my next stop....and I thought this might be a bit of a challenge as my DH is Greek and comes from a big, fat, Greek family who surrounds me with delicious homemade Greek food all of the time! I don't usually get dishes like Spanokopita or Pastitsio because it's nowhere what I get on a regular basis at home.

So, in staying with that trend, I opted for the Griddled Greek Cheese with Pistachios & Honey (a dish like nothing I've ever had)

This was an incredibly interesting and yummy dish! I didn't quite know how to attack it, as the cheese was essentially one piece, and it wasn't gooey. I had to kind of lift it up with my fork and just bite off pieces. After I figured out how to eat it, I was pleasantly surprised with the taste. The cheese was almost similar to a mild Vermont cheddar and the honey worked with it so well. Then the pistachios added that crunchy texture that just brought a little something special to the dish.

I give this one :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I showed this to my DFIL upon returning home and he was intrigued, and is going to seek out some recipes. :goodvibes

I really wanted to try that Greek cheese too but I was so full, and just wasn't sure if I'd like it enough.

We're not Greek but do have a couple of Greek restaurants around here and I have never heard of that either.

I was a little disappointed in the fisher mans pie. I think I had a tiny piece of lobster. I know it's small but mine was mostly potatoes. They were really yummy though ;)

Oh no! I had a big price of tail meat right in the middle, so maybe that was just a pleasant surprise. The whole thing was just so tasty to me.

Major Yum is right! I've definitely got to figure out how to make it down to F & W again....but with our family trip being end of August next year, I don't think it will be 2014...:scratchin

YUM! Both of your choices would have been things I would have chosen. They look delicious!

I am a Texan, but I do enjoy good seafood. The Fisherman's Pie looks good! I will have to try that next year.

I 100% LOVED the griddled Greek Cheese. You are right, you kind of had to pick it up with the fork, but it was so yummy and well balanced.
