From Bride to Bridapotamus, 6 Days of Magical Deluxe Dining with the Hubs! Day 5* 8/4

Joining in! You guys are so cute - Congrats!!! I'm loving the reviews so far, especially your meal at Narcoossee's. That looks absolutely amazing!

Okay, it's your fault that I'm going to go throw together a salad with bleu cheese on it, at 12:35 a.m.! :rotfl: That chowder at Narcoosees has my 10 year old begging me to put it on our "must do" list for our next trip. I've really enjoyed your reviews...great info!

LOL! Thanks! You definitely have to go try it next trip and it's very kid friendly place :)

Mmm, Narcoossee's looks so good! I'm glad we have a ressie there. I'm eyeing that surf and turf that Scott ordered... do you know what sort of sauce that was on top of the filet?

I don't remember what sauce it is exactly, but he absolutely loved it, I highly recommend it I had a nibble too!

Awesome reviews! Thanks so much~~~congrats on your marriage.

Thanks!

Ooohhhh this looks like it was the BEST. FOOD. DAY. EVER. Next time you go, you HAVE to try Kona for dinner too. They have the best bread and butter in the World, I swear!

We definitely have that on our hit list for next trip, we loved breakfast there so much.

I'm sitting at my computer with a bag of carrots while reading your review. My mouth is watering just looking at all of the wonderful photos of your wonderful food! It makes me re-think my ressies to add Narcoossee's!! Yep, once I get to Disney next month I will be saying "What diet??". Loving your reviews!

Oh I'm so sorry, I feel the same way you did before I went on my trip, haha!

Eek! Yum yum yum! The Magical Star is my favorite! It's our signature drink at the wedding!!

yumm, yumm can I come dearie??? Hearts you!

Wow! Everything looks delicious! I'll have to try Narcoossee's. Dole whips are probably my favorite thing at WDW, although I prefer them without the pineapple juice. May be easier on heartburn without the juice.

I think I will do that next time, the juice really made my heartburn flair up the orange one looked really good too.

I just added Narcoossees to my lineup for my fall trip.

:banana::banana::banana:
Love your reviews ! Am tagging along for the ride !

Narcoossee's is somewhere i would love to try your meals looked delish :thumbsup2

Just found your reviews and am loving them!!!! I really regret not taking time to do reviews from our last trip.

Just joining in! Congratulations to the bride and groom!

You are reviewing a lot of the places we are considering for our trip late next year, so I am really enjoying reading this :cool1:

Thank you!

Joining in!! :cool1: I love Main Street bakery!! Starring Rolls CAfe is on my snack list for our next trip....only 318 more days!

The pastries are to die for!

Loving your reviews!! Congratulations on your wedding!!!

Quick question......dress code for Narcossee's? I was thinking about this restuarant for an early dinner break on our MK day, but, I was concerned about not being dressed properly.

There is a dress code, but it's pretty mild, men have to wear shirts no tank tops and girls have to just be covered properly, it's on the website, but I would definitely wear a nice top and slacks, we felt like we were at a country club because of GF guests eat there and they usually have some dough! lol

Love the reviews:thumbsup2

I love your review, rating system and title! I have really been enjoying catching up with your dining report!

BTW your wedding dress was gorgeous! :)

Chiming in to say I am enjoying your review!

:goodvibes

And can I say, you are such a pretty bride!

Congrats on the wedding! I am loving this review so far!popcorn::

Thanks everyone!!!!

Gosh I feel so bad I have been so busy and it's been so long since I posted, but I am determined to finish. We just got two more days on the agenda folks lets get this thing going again!

Day 5!

Today didn't start off too well. We were so tired from the previous day and being on overdrive since the wedding that we slept through our Tusker house ressie!!! I was so bummed because had never eaten there before. Oh well I guess next trip. We decided to go to our food court for a late breakfast.

SAM_0710-1.jpg

Here's what I ordered, Scott said he would wait until lunch. It's a simple disney breakfast, but I enjoyed it, the waffle was really good and you can't go wrong with sausage I gave it a 2

After breakfast we headed over to AK for a short day before our evening plans. It took forever to get there from POFQ, but when we got there we got a big welcome!

SAM_0714-1.jpg

SAM_0712-1.jpg

We got in the Finding Nemo show and then it was time for our lunch ressie at the Rainforest Cafe. We had, had dinner at the one in DTD and I had been to many of these over the years and have not been disappointed so we were fairly excited for this

SAM_0715-1.jpg

We were seated right away and we got there about 10 mins early so that was pretty good. We were seated in the gorilla section, I think it was about here where things started going downhill, the apes were way more annoying then I remember and I guess we were used to eating at so many quiet places during the trip, that this was just way too much, between the thunderstorms and those gorillas forget about it we were annoyed, lol! Our server, was very nice, but he ignored us a lot and it was hard to get refills. This place was not on the food plan so we just ordered two entrees and one appetizer.

SAM_0733-1.jpg

We got the Pita Quesadilla for our app. This was not good at all. This was literally a dry piece of pita bread with some chicken on it, not good at all for us. Scott gave it a .5 with me a 1

Next came the entrees, but at this point we were ready for the check, lol

Scott got the BBQ Chicken Wrap

SAM_0734-1.jpg

He thought the BBQ sauce was way too sweet in it and the chicken was really tasteless, he gave it a 1

I had the Rainforest Burger and fries, which comes with chips and I had to pay extra to get the fries

SAM_0736-1.jpg

What can I say about it, but that it was simple hamburger. I really liked the fries, but if I hadn't of paid extra I wouldn't have gotten them at all, I gave this a 1.5

Our server made an appearance and brought us a check without the offer for dessert I might add, not that we wanted it anyway. We rushed out of there and soon as possible. We got back on bus and headed to the resort to rest up for dinner, the sun really drained us. Scott got some laundry done and then we got dressed and headed out to the Boardwalk for our Flying Fish ressie! This was the one place Scott really wanted to try and I was excited too, because neither one of us has been to the Boardwalk. We took the bus to EPCOT and found out that we should have went to Hollywood and taken the ferry to Boardwalk so lesson learned for next time I guess!

SAM_0747-1.jpg

The ferry ride was really nice and short too.

First stop the Boardwalk Bakery!

SAM_0755-1.jpg

SAM_0756-1.jpg

SAM_0757-1.jpg

We quickly realized that we were about to have dinner and probably should wait until after dinner to get a delectable so we headed to our ressie.

SAM_0758-2.jpg

SAM_0774-1.jpg

SAM_0761-1.jpg

SAM_0762-1.jpg

Complimentary menus!

SAM_0763-1.jpg

It's such a beautiful restaurant! Our server was super great as well and offered us some congratulatory champagne to start

SAM_0764-1.jpg

It was really good and sweet. It was time for appetizers!

SAM_0767-1.jpg
Bread

I ordered the calamari

SAM_0765-1.jpg

That dipping sauce was amazing! and the calamari was so crispy and delicious I gave it a 2.5

Scott got the Lobster Bisque
SAM_0766-1.jpg

He loved this, he said it was really creamy and rich and it had a lot of lobster 2.7

Next the entrees, I got the Yellow Find Tuna

SAM_0768-1.jpg

Now I like fish, but I am by no means a fish person and this was definitely outside of my comfort zone, but I am so glad I got it. The crispiness on the outside complimented the fish so well and it was cooked just right. The noodles with it weren't great, but not bad either I gave it a 2

Scott got the NY Strip

SAM_0770-1.jpg

Scott really liked this he said it had great sauce the only thing didn't like was it was bit too done for his liking he's a fan of medium well 2.8

It was then time for dessert!

Me- Blondie Tart

SAM_0772.jpg

yummmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!.......3!

Scott - Caramelized Banana Napolian

SAM_0771-1.jpg

3!

Such a good experience here everyone, we enjoyed every bite and definitely plan on coming back :)

After dinner we walked around the Boardwalk and the hotel area to work off the food and then we hit up the Atlantic Dance hall. There was only one couple on the dance floor so we headed over to Jellyrolls we had never been to a dueling piano bar before

SAM_0784-1.jpg

So this is where the Atlantic Dance hall crowd was! This place was so packed and so much fun!

SAM_0794-1.jpg

They can play almost anything by request! We ordered a couple of drinks and took a seat. Scott got the Jack and Coke

SAM_0789-2.jpg

Me the Raspberry Beret

SAM_0788-2.jpg

Both drinks were great we gave them 2.5 The Raspberry Beret was really sweet and tart and good I highly recommended

SAM_0795-1.jpg

Before we headed out of the Boardwalk we headed back to the Boardwalk Bakery and grabbed a cupcake

SAM_0796-1.jpg

It was a bit soggy since it was the end of the night, but we still enjoyed it, we gave it a 2

Today was really great and we can't wait to come back to the Flying Fish, up next last day at Disney :(

Great review of Flying Fish. That was a bit of a miss meal for us last trip. I definitely want to give it another try but can't fit it in this trip with all the places we want to try!

Some day DH and I will get to Jelly Rolls. When we are able to take a trip without DS15!

Sorry to hear your report is coming to an end!

Well, I'm a little late to the party here, but I'm sure enjoying your report! Good deal on Narcoosee's. There's been so much up and down, it's nice to hear it is solid.

Bummer about LeCellier--I guess I shouldn't be so bummed that I didn't get in this trip! I haven't been since 2008 and I was thinking we'd missed out these last few trips. Apparently not! Hopefully now that it is 2 credits for dinner, the quality will go up!

Flying Fish looks great! I'd like to try and get there eventually on a future trip. And I'm excited to go to Jellyrolls! Your raspberry drink sounds so good.

Too bad about the Rainforest Cafe. I went to the one in Atlantic City, and we enjoyed it but found the food to be pretty average for the prices they were charging (though I guess at Disney that's not too out of place!). But a hamburger served without french fries? Come on! That's just ridiculous. ;)

I found this review late, but oh so glad I did. Love your humor and I find myself getting hungry just reading your reviews.

Not sure how but I fell behind in following your wonderful reviews. I am all caught up now.

I definately want to hit Starrring Rolls on our DHS day, I want one of those huge cupcakes I keep seeing.

We went to Sci Fi some years ago, I do not care for the seating although someone told me they do have table? Skipping it this trip. Your rueben looked good too bad you did not enjoy the rye that much.

Brown Derby we have a lunch ressie here. The filet looks great . I know I want the cobb salad for app and the grapefruit cake for dessert , just not sure about my entree. The duck 2 ways looks interesting

I have never been to Kona Cafe and several of my friends have told me I have to go there for breakfast. I would love to squeeze it in this trip but I just do not know where. The big kahuna and your pancakes looked fantastic. The juice looks delish too.

I have never had a dole whip either but plan to this trip, it looks so yummy

Your review is the second one that I have read that the cinnimon bun was not so fresh, but it still has me wanting one when I look at your pic of it

Narcoossee's looks beautiful , we have never been there or visited GF either. I always said I did not want to go there until I could stay at GF....yes it is my dream resort.
The food looks wonderful especially the surf and turf and that strawberry tart. I know what I want to order if I go there. Seriously thinking now about trying to add it for October.
I need another week at Disney just to do all the eating I want to do . lol

I am waiting for them to open up the bookings for the Dessert Party, it will be our first time going to it. I want to go to it so badly, DH wants to go for the sweets , I want to go for the seats and viewing of the fireworks with out having to fight the crowds on Main St. Everything in your pics looked wonderful. You were lucky to have so few people there when you went and what a perfect table. I was wondering if they stuck parties of 2 in the rear maybe.

Flying Fish the food looked great as did the atmosphere of the restaurant, if we were still staying at the BC I think I might try to rearrange my ADRs to fit it in. Maybe next trip. We have visited the Boardwalk twice and I have found it is a nice place to visit, maybe one day we will even end up staying there.

Terrific pics and reviews as always, thanks for shareing!

Yummmmm. The Flying Fish looks SO GOOD!!!!!! And the cupcake! And... everything except the Rainforest Cafe! (haha). You're making me hungry

Fantastic reviews and congratulations on your marriage!

I loved seeing all the places you ate - and it made me hungry! Man - I really want one of those orange creme cupcakes from the Boardwalk Bakery.

How was JellyRolls? Is there a cover charge? We're doing "date night" at Flying Fish (kids off to Sandcastle), and I've been wondering if JellyRolls would be the best bet afterwards. I figure we'll have 30-60 minutes to "kill" before picking up the kiddos.

I am loving your reviews!!! You make a lovely couple and I wish you much happiness in your life together. Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

Awesome reviews! Thank you so much for sharing! And congratulations to you and your hubby...you guys are too cute! :goodvibes
