Day 2 EPCOT! Part 1
We woke up at around 8:15 to get a good start on the day, because today was a day full of food and our first Disney park of the trip EPCOT! We got dressed and headed to the resort food court to use some snack credits for breakfast.
Scott got the Disney bacon and a danish and I got the beignets, yummm, and the sausage.
My sausage and beignets were yum-city! Scott really enjoyed his danish, but he thought it was very normal as far as cheese danishes go. He ordered the bacon because he is a bacon person more than sausage, but as soon as he did I began to get flash backs of what people say about the bacon on the boards. I kept my opinion to myself until after he tried it so I wouldn't influence his judgement of it and as soon as he took that first bite he said everything that people say about it. It's thin, a bit bland and overall not the best bacon in the world, haha. After he ate it I told him about what people say about it and he said "Why didn't you tell me that before I ordered it!?!"

overall I gave my first Disney breakfast a
2 and Scott gave his a
1.5 because of the bacon mostly, lol.
After breakfast we hopped on the next bus to EPCOT and we were on our way! Once we arrived it was already a little after 10 am! I knew today was going to be tight so we didn't waste anytime. We headed over for a fastpass to soarin' rode a ride or two and then began the journey to Italy for our first ressie of the day Via Napoli. On the way over it began to downpour though so by the time we arrive to the restaurant we were drenched and about 15 mins late for our ressie.
Scott trying to look distinguished, haha!
The restaurant itself is very nicely themed I felt like I was in Italy.
Our waitress was soooo sweet and nice, though I forgot her name. She was so happy to find out we were on our honeymoon and congratulated us. She made sure we knew how the deluxe dining plan worked with this restaurant and even gave us her recommendations and the best way to use the dining plan to get the most food, haha! Here we got an appetizer, individual pizza, and dessert per person plus a non alcoholic drink. We used both of our appetizer credits towards one big appetizer, per our waitresses recommendations, that allowed us to sample all the other appetizers on the menu, lol. We got the Fritto Misto.
Now I don't know exactly what everything is here, but here are a few things I wrote down. Cheese, Calamari, Rice ball, various veggies, and marinara sauce and of course everything is fried to delectable goodness! The marinara was amazing, unlike anything I had tried before. The best of the fry goodness to dip into it to me was the cheese and calamari and Scott felt the same. The rice balls were really grainy and weird tasting and the veggies had a really weird consistency. Eggplant was among the veggies and I had never had that before so that was pretty unique as well. Overall we both gave the Fritto Misto a
1.5 only because we didn't really care for the veggies and the calamari though it was good tasted like we could have ordered it at our local Olive Garden.
Once our amazing waitress came back we put in our order for pizza. I ordered the Quattro Stagioni- a pizza with ham and various veggies on it
Scott ordered the Quattro Fromagio - a pizza with various cheeses
Scott's pizza after a few minutes...
haha! He really enjoyed his pizza and we have had a lot of pizza being from Illinois where Chicago style is prevalent! He gave his a
2.5
Mine was good as well, but it was really out of the box for me because I wanted to try something different. I had never had eggplant on my pizza before. It was ok, but I would probably order something different if we come back next time. I gave mine a
2
Something really needs to be said about the excellent customer service they have here. Everyone is so bubbly and happy to be there and the drink refills oh my gosh we maybe got one or two sips before they were refilled again.
Once we were done with our entrees we order dessert.
Scott ordered the Zeppole Di Catarina, ricotta cheese deep fried with whipped cream and chocolate dipping sauce
I ordered the Coppa Di Brutti Ma Buoni or as we began to call it because of its menu description "ugly but good" lol, cherry and vanilla gelato sundae
We both split each others dessert and I am glad we did because I liked Scott's a lot better. The cheese was warm and flaky and delicious and the sauce was amazing. The gelato was good to, but it just tasted like normal ice cream to me. Scott thought both were great. Overall we gave the "ugly, but good" a
2 and the ricotta cheese dish a
2.5
After we left the restaurants we began to explore the various countries. We eventually made our way over to the France slushy stand so I could try the grey goose slushy.
This was very good and I am not much of a drinker. If you like sweet stuff you will love this. I gave it a solid
2. I got the orange flavored one!
After hitting up the slushy stand we headed over to French bakery to use up some of our snack credits. I had my snack list from the boards in hand, which I highly recommend anyone on the deluxe or any dining plan to do because we consulted it often. I am glad we had the print out because the bakery was really bad about having the little snack credit emblem next to the stuff in the case. No one knew what counted as a snack credit unless you asked or had a sheet like we did.
We ended up with this little beauty!
...amazing strawberry goodness! aka the strawberry tart. This was soooo goood. The crust was so sweet and the tart wasn't tart at all it kind of tasted like strawberry cheesecake with strawberries on top. We both gave this a
3.
After we left the bakery and ate our tart on the patio we explored more of the countries and then headed to our dinner ressie.
Up next Le Cellier!
