From BCV to Epcot to Segway class. How much time do I need to travel there?

Never stayed at BCV and not even sure where the class is. It is a surprise for my wife. :rolleyes1

I would imagine that we would walk to Epcot and to the segway class. The class starts at 8:30. Thanks.

You'll need to check in at Guest Relations, which is near the front of the park ( to the left of Spaceship Earth as you enter Epcot.) So if you walk from BCV to Epcot, you'll enter at International Gateway and walk through Epcot to the front of the park. That's a pretty long hike - I'd drive if you have a car or take a taxi to the front of the park, or wait for an Epcot bus, but I'd be at the bus stop by about 7:45am just in case a bus was late coming.

If you are staying at BC the only way to get to EPCOT is throught the International Gateway. Because you will be entering before the park opens you will be checked in at the turnstyles. You get there by a five minute walk or a longer boat ride. I would give myself an hour. It a pleasant walk but it is all the way through Future world. There are no busses from BC to EPCOT. You could drive to the front entrance.

We are in the same boat (so to speak) Staying at BWV and having a Segway. I have decided to drive it... the walk would take me (hmmm 5-7 minutes down the long hallway at BWV, 8-10 to international gateway, 10-12 to front of park) close to 30 minutes of walking... Driving (5-7 minutes down the long hallway at BWV, 5-10 valet wait, 10 minute drive to front of Epcot, 5-10 tram, 4 minute walk to Guest serivces)
No time saved, but no long walk before (and after) the Segway tour.

Can either of you tell me more about the Segway tour please? It sounds like fun. Last time we were at WDW only CMs were using the Segways. After seeing people riding them in Santa Monica last summer, DH and DS (who will be 17 at the time of our visit) are very interested. TIA.

Sorry, I forgot there isn't a bus to Epcot!!!!!

From both BCV and BWV, you want to walk. This is especially true if you are doing the first tour of the day---if you try to drive in, they don't open the parking lot early enough (I had a very tense moment of panic in the parking lot last April). Then on top of that, there is also a line of people who are also checking in for the Princess Breakfast (not to mention the crowds of people who are wanting to enter Epcot that day as usual). When we stayed at BWV and did the tour in December, we left ourselves a half hour, strolled over to the IG, enjoyed walking through the quiet and empty WS, and up and over to guest services for check-in. We were still early and it was definitely a magical way to begin the day.

We just did the Segway tour in Feb and we were staying at the BCV. We were at the International Gateway at 8am and had plenty of time to stroll to the front of the park. No power walking needed and we ended up waiting about 10 minutes for the last members of the tour to arrive. You will have a great time!

I agree it not that long of a walk. 15 to 20 minutes.

We did the Segway tour last May. We walked from YC. I agree with Shelby5514 that if you are at the IG by 8am you won't have any problem getting to Guest Relations in time. It is a breeze going through the IG at that time of day. Just tell one of the CMs there that you are taking the Segway tour. Make sure you have your park ticket/AP with you!

The walk to Guest Relations will be 20 mins at most (unless you are a slow walker in which case you should allow more time). You want to get to Guest Relations by 8:20 am or so because you have to sign some paperwork prior to taking the tour.

Have fun!

also did Segway at our last stay at BCV. Walked, not even fast, and only took at the max 15 min. That was also stopping to take pictures in the empty WS.

Not a far walk at all!! Very easy, and a nice one too. :thumbsup2
