I am taking my niece on her first WDW trip in February. Right now we have base tickets. We have always had park hoppers and I'm thinking of upgrading once get there. Do you think this is necessary? I want her to be able to see a lot. She's seven, do those of you with kids think she'll be okay park hopping or should I stick with the base ticket?

It will be school vacation so I'm sure it'll be busier than I'm used to as well

Go in with the base ticket then upgrade if needed. My daughter is 7 and we usually hop 5/10 days of our trip, but she's also been going to WDW since she was an infant and is used to it. I would wait to see how your niece holds up and if she's open to hopping to another park before upgrading.

You can wait to do the upgrade until the day that you actually decide you want to park hop.
Same price.
