From 1987: Video of In-Room Disney Information Channel !

Also interesting to see how some things haven't changed!

Oooooooo, those hairdos and outfits in the beginning! Looks like the one girl on the phone calling the Guest Services hostess for further assistance escaped from Captain EO! :rotfl:

I need to remember to watch it in the morning.
If i watch it now i will end up watching things on youtube until 4AM

That was cool! Amazing what stuff you can find online nowadays.

The best part was the look back at discovery island and river country.

Yes. I still miss River Country.

It's funny. As a kid I used to *hate* Discovery Island. I thought it was SO hot and SO boring and a waste of time that could have been spent in the MK.

But now, I'd give anything to see it again. Go figure. :)

Alot of memories from my highschool graduation trip. River country, the sky ride. The old world of motion. Very cool. Thanks for sharing. The 80's gotta love it bad hair, horrible clothes, and cheesy movies.:goodvibes

I'd completely forgotten that the Empress Lily used to be the home of three separate restaurants !

In fact, I'm not sure I ever knew that in the first place. ;)

Does anyone recall eating at any of them ? I don't think we ever did....

i actually went to a character breakfast there in............i think............1989......i remember we had been out late the nite before and i was still half asleep and pluto was chewing on my hair and rubbing my head cause he knew i was not the type and wanted to get a laugh out of the family......i whispered.........hey bud go bother someone else will ya and i heard him chuckle under the costume:laughing:

That is SO cool! It would probably be really hard to recreate a place that families enjoy generation after generation.

I'm excited to see it, but going to save it for when I'm at work tomorrow. Gonna need the smile!:)

Wow, that brings me back to my high school spring break trip senior year. :goodvibes I remember the 15th Anniversary celebration, and I had to laugh out loud when I saw the ubiquitous "castle float" that I've seen in EVERY daytime parade since. They really got their money's worth on that float, don't you think? :rotfl2:

I remember having breakfast at Tangaroa Terrace for breakfast, but I can't recall if it was the 1987 or the 1992 trip. I'm thinking 1992, since I stayed offsite in 1987.

Oh, and I LOVED World of Motion! It's fun to be free!
